Even striking disciplines won't help you all that much in such a scenario -- that is, unless the attackers are kids, blind, retarded or crippled.

What's your point? Many martial arts have techniques for multiple attackers. I don't know why you think in BJJ the only thing you're trained to do is take the guy to the ground. It's not like a practitioner would be stupid enough to pull guard when it's 4v1.

@sparky303 Jiu-jitsu teaches you how useless EVERYTHING is in that situation, so you're a step ahead of everybody else because at least you have some grasp of reality. The only thing you CAN do in that situation is try to escape and stay clear of being taken down. An understanding of jiu-jitsu is good for that. If you can't escape offer to fight them one at a time. Beat the leader first and maybe the rest won't want any.
