I only found recently but Korea Turkey relationship actually goes far back way way before the Korean war. Kingdoms in Korea such as Koguryo had a very close and collaborative relationship to check the power of Kingdoms in China such as Sui and Tang. Very surprising considering the geographic distance the two countries are in. Read about the great war between Koguryo and Tang dynasty.
