  • we are the youth of the nation with the moto: DRUG ME! XDD

  • i guess by 2015 the liberty in research for the mdma would come up with a better quality and less to none toxicity! lets be honest, you would go to a M.D. to make an allergy or chemical interaction with your body to see if its fits you or not. no problem with that, its not a sin to look for inmediate happiness feelings after a hard week, lets help to find the magic SOMA from aldoux huxley brave new world!

  • its almost as bad as the island...same year.

  • Well within 5 minutes of this documentary we have someone collapsing from drug OD. Right so this program is totally biased look at drugs. If you legalized all drugs without any information/ education given to people then that might be a problem, but that isn't how it would play out in any real world scenario. Alcohol and education about alcohol can save people from its negative effects and let you know if there's going to be a problem, you'll always have drunks because that's human nature.

  • Education about drugs and understanding them is the most important thing, along with the decriminalization which would destroy the black market. Alcohol, paracetamol, valium, codeine, bleach, nail polish remover... these are all things that if you misuse them can kill you. But they are out of reach, children are kept far away from them. Legalizing drugs would be a shift in social responsibility for everyone, but not by as much as fear mongers will have you believe. It's time for sense to reign.

  • Marijuana is less addictive then caffeine. Just saying. I hate when people say "but what I they get high and try to drive?" We have people getting drunk and driving don't we? Just because a drug is legal doesn't mean you can't put regulations like "no blazing and driving". Perfectly fine, and anyway, who feels like driving when they're stoned?

  • Apparently this is what drug legalization would look like: indiscriminate sale in nightclubs and on the internet instead of government-run dispensaries. Why can't we just legalize cannabis with appropriate regulations?

  • Whats the song at 5;58

  • @vonHaisek Paul Oakenfold - Ready Steady Go

  • Caffein is a phycoactive drug. So is cocaine. Just saying.

  • what a shoddy bbc production!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I love how the welfare system is still in place yet they dare to say that "less people are able to work" ROFL

  • those drug manufacturers listen to good music (the doors) :)

  • what is the song at 2:30

  • @shithappens39 it's a fine day - opus III

  • good documentary, but the played stuff seems like it is all kind of anti legalization, and shows no pro legalization arguments.

  • this mockumentary proved the point that regulating is the only way forward. its illegal uncontrolled drugs that killed the girls, not regulated ones.

  • shit heroin used to be an over the counter drug

  • good song at the end extreme ways

  • the first of the film says it all, we won't get as much out of their working life.. thats all we are to them..slaves, better make sure the slaves don't fuck up their health we'll loose money

  • @cblazer so fuking true, slaves should only consume n consume n not enjoy getting high oh no lol

  • this is pretty lame but i'm still undecided on this issue

  • i love how the woman that works for the drug company is all that's not what i do working for this multi billion dollar company that sells life saving drugs At outrageous prices and we could cure the disease but we would rather charge them for drugs that lead to other problems so we can charge them for more drugs..i just wan to help people... please pah lease

  • I hate BBC propaganda shit like this, it pretends to be impartial but turns out to be pure scare mongering.

  • @MonsterMunchAreAce I don't follow-- who are the mongering the scares from? The video is *clearly* made from a position biased in favor of legalization....

  • @MonsterMunchAreAce Did you actually watch the whole thing? Otherwise, I'm confused by your opinion....

  • direct drug related deaths to cannabis? oh please never!

  • Arrrghh when you look at studies they have to be shown repetitively and not just with a small amount of people to make the conclusion of schizophrenia when it comes to cannabis + take into account the mental health of the person and health in general beforehand

  • Is it just me or would it make alot more sense to not allow profit from the selling of recreational drugs? Why wouldn't the government be making the drugs and tax them, Use the money for things good for society, such as healthcare, schools and rehab programs. Obviously the best scenario is no one doing hard drugs, Piles of research suggests that alcohol and tobacco are a lot more dangerous than LSD, MDMA, Weed, and Shrooms. to the facts people who disagree with Legalization, Look at the facts!

  • Well, would work better in combination with removal of copyright law. No incentive to push anything through testing.

And if you use heroin/whatever and not sterilize or remove your reproductive capabilities you really can't blame the drug for you getting an abnormal child.

This would decrease/stabilize the population growth if taking drugs that harm fetuses comes with some kind of long term birth control. Kept until damage can be undone if ever.

  • Lol I'm no chemist and I can tell that the drug their hunting down in this wouldn't do anything. Those are two competely different drugs that probably go through different receptors. Dumb

  • replace drug lords with pharmaceutical companies? i dont know which is worse. if drugs were legalized only the government should have the right to sell it or give it for free to addicts. you really want profits driving drug sales?

  • Comment removed

  • This argument is over. Drugs are as good as legal. I'm a ten min phone conversation from any drug I would ever want to take. Noone I know has fucked themselves up on drugs, noone I know has a problem with addiction (excluding tobacco obviously) I say again: The argument is over, we don't care any more.

  • the song playing around 3:20 , what is the name of that song?

  • Many people like me just like to self medicate from time to time and why should i have to be a criminal to fill my needs? I'm not an addict and no one get's hurt because of my drug use so why would i not be allowed to?

  • hey whats the song at about 2:58?! anyone know? thanks

  • i don't get the film because the death was caused by a non trialed drug (illegal). so all i did was show the death of a girl from taken an illgal substance which she did not know what it was. if it was what if drugs were legal you wud get her buying it from a legal shop..... having a good time and not dying.

    bit stupid really

  • @OHRees

Legal drugs (alcohol, tobacco, medicines) must be tested, approved, controlled, etc. We all know who can sell them, where, and to whom. Sellers need an expensive license. To keep their business, they need to obey the law.

Illegal drugs: it's much harder to control who sells what to whom (including minors). To keep their business, they need secrecy, lies, threatens, bribes and guns.

  • @eleonb yeah thats what i was saying, if this drama was really "if drugs were legal", then this scenario would not have happened.

  • They lie the government in the documentary about truth mix in lies and truth come out propaganda nothing too with reality at all

  • They lie in the documentary about cannabis supposedly causing schitzophrenia, there's no proof for that claim.

All that research has shown so far is that there is a reasonable amount of people with schitzophrenia that smoked pot before.

It's like claiming milk causes schitzophrenia because a big part of the ppl with schitzophrenia drank milk, it obviously doesn't prove anything.

    Damn propagandapushers...

  • @CannabisPhilosopher ok bitch, fuck you, ive seen people fuck themself up with weed, yes, getting paranoid and psycho, NO weed is NOT completely harmless fucking pink unicorn dust.

get real asswipe, yes if you smoke weed in regulation its probably no bigger problem, but guess what, not alot of people smoke weed for a LONG time, without starting to SMOKE ALOT, ending up in ABUSING it, ending up FUCKED UP

  • @schmendriks

If weed makes you paranoid there's possibly a good reason to be so.....

If weed made you psycho you are surely mentally damaged already....

Yes, weed is pretty much harmless....

Don't go smoking if you're a moron, it will probably make it worse.... ;-)

You are a sad fucker, feeling the need to curse at me because you don't agree with me.... Grow the fuck up...

  • @CannabisPhilosopher Just ignore the research done on youths who have smoked. I find that most people shouldn't smoke weed until their brains have fully developed with means til about the age of 25. The same goes with drinking.

  • @Kalamuzud

Just ignore the fact that pretty much the only research that's being taken seriously is done by ppl who have interest in the outcome being negative.

And do you realize that researchers who want to research anything cannabis related that's not directly perceived as negative don't get cannabis to do their tests, so they are making it very hard to prove anything positive about cannabis as they simply don't allow legal research.

  • @Kalamuzud

I agree that you can probably better not use any substances like that before your brain is fully developed, but it's anyone's guess when that really is as it differs per person.

  • @CannabisPhilosopher Usually it's the morons who choose to smoke weed. Why smoke something that is ILLEGAL? Typical behavior of a moron.

  • @Barbiehoe

Assuming things without being bothered to check the facts, typical behavior of a moron.

FYI i'm from the Netherlands, one of the only countries where they allow cannabis to be sold for recreational use, so no it's not really illegal for me.

Besides that, why would I need to be told what I can or can't do. That's what morons need.

I'm perfectly capable of making up my own mind.

  • @CannabisPhilosopher Check what facts? It's not like this is a "fact" written on paper, it's based on my own experience. The people I know that are using drugs are with no exception unintelligent people. People who think they are above the law are morons.

FYI: I'm not against cannabis, it should be legal, but it's not legal as of now and people still choose to smoke it. Smart people with good jobs don't use illegal drugs, they won't jeopardize their careers for something that stupid.

  • @Barbiehoe

You were saying i'm a moron because I choose to do something you perceive as illegal, yet you didn't take the time to even check out where i'm from, as if you did you would have seen that i'm from the Netherlands where cannabis is sort of legal. And that renders your entire argument invalid. I can't help it most countries have very wrong drugs laws, my country understands you can't keep something illegal that does way less damage (if any) then the legal drugs they're taxing.

  • @Barbiehoe

"The people I know that are using drugs are with no exception unintelligent people."

Probably says more about the milieu you're around then anything else lol.

"People who think they are above the law are morons."

As Henry David Thoreau said, disobedience is the true foundation of liberty. The obedient must be slaves.

You do realize those laws are nothing more then rules made up by other human beings. Doesn't mean anything. If you like being a slave, good for you, but I know better.

  • @Barbiehoe

"Smart people with good jobs don't use illegal drugs, they won't jeopardize their careers for something that stupid."

Smart people are perfectly capable to make up their own minds about what they choose to put in their body.

  • @CannabisPhilosopher You really don't get it do you? It's illegal, smart people are not behaving like they are above the law. I could not care less about your "free mind" bullshit. END.

  • @Barbiehoe

    You don't get it.

It's not illegal in my country... And justice will spread so just you wait...

I'm sorry to hear you don't care about having a free mind, that's what can happen when you listen to the mainstream media and politics too much.

FYI politicians don't seem to give a crap about laws, so why would we.

I'm no sheep. I can make up my own mind. And everyone with a brain understands those laws are not there for our benefit. But nm, OBEY OBEY OBEY. BE A GOOD SHEEP. MEEEEH.

  • @Barbiehoe

Smart people are aware of the fact that some of the most damaging drugs are the ones that are legal. (cigarettes, alcohol, not to mention pharmaceuticals.)

You are not under the impression that those drugs laws are there to PROTECT us do you.

If so why is cannabis (never killed a person ever before) illegal and booze and cigs (kills shitloads of ppl every year) are legal. Those people don't care about fair laws.

    Use your brain please.

  • @CannabisPhilosopher Blah blah, I'm well aware you want cannabis legalized now. Just because it saves the society or gov. money does not mean it's for the better for society. How do you know whether cannabis has killed someone or not? That's pretty ignorant. It's still SMOKE, you're inhaling dried plants which can lead to THROAT CANCER. How in the world can you sit there and say NO ONE has ever died of smoking cannabis before? Oh my god...

  • @Barbiehoe

"How in the world can you sit there and say NO ONE has ever died of smoking cannabis before?"

    Because it's a fact.

Now, of course i'm not saying inhaling the smoke of burned plant matter is not bad at all, but it surely has never been proven that cannabis gives ppl cancer let alone kill anyone. If you want to get around that you can always vaporize or even eat your cannabis. Problem solved.

  • @Barbiehoe

Cigarettes on the other hand are very very damaging and kill lots of people every year, and as if it's not bad enough in itself they put in 100's of chemicals to make it more addictive, tasty and destructing, yet our government lets them, they even heavily profit off of it. That's how much governments care.

  • @CannabisPhilosopher And if/when cannabis is legalized even more people will die. You're still inhaling dried/burned plants, it's still damaging to your body and you can risk throat cancer. You also get addicted to it over time. I don't care about the government making profit off of cigarettes, money is not everything. Again; just because the government can save money on legalizing drugs doesn't mean it's for the better. Stop trivializing weed, you're just a typical stoner/druggie.

  • @Barbiehoe

As I said no-one ever died from cannabis. You're more then welcome to find proof for your rediculous claim, but i'm sure you're aware of the fact that it doesn't exist.

Also, as I said before, wonder why you don't read properly, there is no proof that it causes cancer. Again you're more then welcome to find proof for your rediculous claim. There's proof that it fights cancer though.

Also cannabis is barely addictive, and certainly not physically.

  • @Barbiehoe

So you're ok with the government profiting off of killer drugs, they even allow the makers to put in more poison and addictive substances (not to mention the fact that tobacco farmers get subsidized by the people), while they keep drugs that never ever killed anyone before illegal. You see the irony there?

You seem like a typical uninformed rightwing nutjob.

  • @CannabisPhilosopher Yes, of course, people do whatever they want to, as long as it's LEGAL. Why would I care what other people are doing with their own body and health? Let them kill themselves, I don't care. Cannabis is illegal, that's why I'm against it. It's funny how druggies always tries to move the focus over on tobacco.

Nutjob? At least I don't come off as a druggie like you, that's basically the worst, then you're not being taken seriously by anyone.

  • @CannabisPhilosopher And you're the one coming off as the uninformed here, you have no clue about the deaths of cannabis users in every country on this planet. Again; you're a typical druggie only in it for your own interest, you just want easier access and purer drugs on the market.

  • @Barbiehoe

"It's funny how druggies always tries to move the focus over on tobacco."

It's not funny how it's legal while it's one of the most damaging drugs out there. It's a good example to show how much governments generally care. THEY PROFIT OFF OF THOSE KILLER DRUGS! THEY DON'T GIVE A SHIT.

"And you're the one coming off as the uninformed here, you have no clue about the deaths of cannabis users in every country on this"

I know for a fact that there is not a single death contributed to pot.

  • @Barbiehoe

Show me evidence that someone died from cannabis or it's just hearsay. Claiming i'm uninformed lol. If you're so informed, where's the proof? Lots of talk no proof. That's how you roll eh?

"you're a typical druggie only in it for your own interest, you just want easier access and purer drugs on the market."

Learn to read, it's sort of legal in my country already, and i'm growing my own. How much easier access would I want lol. Why would I want 'purer' cannabis. It's good as it is.

  • @Barbiehoe

You obviously don't know anything about cannabis.

EDUCATE YOURSELF FOOL. REPEATING PROPAGANDA DOESN'T HELP ANYONE.

  • @Barbiehoe how is cannabis causing deaths?

  • @ssuuppeerrbbooyy Have you heard of throat cancer? No?

  • @Barbiehoe TO DATE and SINCE WRITTEN HISTORY there have been '0' RECORDED DEATHS CAUSED BY THE INTAKE OF CANNABIS...TRUETH

  • @30TaZ Are you dense? How can you keep track of throat cancer and the side effects of cannabis? Do you have the files for every government and country in this world? Also, when a person dies of throat cancer it is not recorded as a death because of cannabis. Let's see in the years to come, more research and science will show this. Cannabis should not be trivialized.

It's written TRUTH btw. Smoke less cannabis and you will see what you're actually typing in.

  • @Barbiehoe (Clearing the smoke: The science of cannabis) watch all of thoes videos then say sumthan true..

  • @30TaZ I don't even understand what you're writing. Learn proper English.

  • @Barbiehoe im completely sober...so maybe you just have comprehention problems

  • @30TaZ What does "watch all fo thoes videos then say sumthan" mean? It means nothing, it's not even a language. Learn the language properly before making an attempt to write it.

  • @Barbiehoe u kno what..fuck it! if u say weed kills and u have no proof, then i gues weed's more dangerous then crack, cocain, meth and liqour...(but hey what do i know, i just stoped smoking weed months ago with no side affects but i ques that doesnt too huh?)

  • @Barbiehoe u kno what..fuck it! if u say weed kills and u have no proof, then i gues weed's more dangerous then crack, cocain, meth and liqour...(but hey what do i know, i just stoped smoking weed months ago with no side affects but i ques that doesnt count too huh?)

  • @Barbiehoe

"Cannabis is illegal, that's why I'm against it."

It might be illegal in your country, but it's not in mine. You hate that don't you.

But good to see you are making up your own mind and you don't need your govt to hold your hand lol.

"Let them kill themselves, I don't care."

I would find some professional help for that. Doesn't sound healthy. Psychopath?

  • @Barbiehoe

steve jobs did LSD. nuff said.

  • @LegalHeroin Nuff said about what? LSD has nothing to do with cannabis anyways.

  • @Barbiehoe

cannabis? i thought you meant drugs in general.

  • @LegalHeroin I was talking about cannabis when commenting on what "CannabisPhilosopher" wrote. And so what if Steve Jobs has tried/used LSD? That does not make it anymore legit.

  • @Barbiehoe

you wrote something about how people who do/did drugs dont have good jobs. and then i wrote that steve jobs did lsd sometimes and he is one of the richest guys on earth.

  • @LegalHeroin Please read what I'm actually writing before commenting on it. I have never written what you're saying here.

  • @CannabisPhilosopher You realize you're also cursing at him for not agreeing with you, right? Just saying.

  • @Klicket01

No, i'm cursing at him because he was cursing at me.

I would never curse at ppl for just not agreeing with me.

I treat ppl the way they treat me.

  • @CannabisPhilosopher because two wrongs make a right LOL :)

  • @CannabisPhilosopher Legend!

  • @xyumziex

    Legend?

  • There's plenty of people smoking weed for a LONG LONG time... Without any issues.

If someone feels like cannabis is fucking them up it's probably because they can't handle the truth...

If you can't handle the truth go back to sleep and be a nice little sheep... Your slavemasters need you...

  • @schmendriks , sounds to me like you just hang out with fucked up people, don't blame it on the smoke-

  • @schmendriks Sounds like you've been hitting the pipe yourself there. Have a spliff and chill out.

  • DRUGS ARE LEGAL

  • Jack reminded me of Jack Bauer ^^

    Good film.
