More people are in hell than in Heaven? I have difficulty believing this. I think these saints are talking about people who go directly to Heaven. I believe the other 93% go to Purgatory!
@GregariousGorilla We are not going to know, are we? Should we take the chance? I'm not going to. I am going to work out my salvation with "fear and trembling", in the secure hope that Christ wills all men be saved. Christ Himself reveals that lukewarm chrisitans are abhorrent to Him, and he cannot tolerate their vapid moral laziness. He called them "scublah" i believe, which means "dung".
No offence - I will take the opinion of the popes and doctors of the faith over yours.
@havock89 no offence taken - I think that since people are in purgatory for very long periods of time, it would seem that more people are in hell than in heaven because a lot of the people who are going to heaven are in purgatory. What the doctors of the church say do not seem to contradict this.
@ndzoko The bible is written for believers by believers. Which places you outside the box. I would take the opinion of goat-herders who demonstrably understand more about philosophy and wisdom that the ignorant sheeple like yourself.
Go sell crazy somewhere else, we aint buying here.
@happygm1 Gays and Lesbians wont be saved. Neither will hetrosexuals, neither will adulterers, neither will thieves, neither will panderers, neither will murderers. Hell is our natural end. Being "nice" doesnt change that. Any more than being "nice" makes you achieve a doctorate in Physics.
Only chaste, and faithful people devoted to goodness in the personage of God will be able to exceed our natural end and enbrace our supernatural inheritence won for us by Christ good work.
@havock89 Witches, kill them. Homosexuals, kill them.fortunetellers, kill them. those who don`t listen to priests, kill them. those hitting their dad, kill them. those who curse their parents, kill them, adulterers, kill them. fornicators, kill them. people who believe in other religions, kill them. non-believers,kill them. fals prohets ,kill them. blasphemers, kill them. those who work on the Sabbath, kill them. This is the word of god !!
@ndzoko Logical fallacy of reducto ad absurdium - extending a persons position to rediculous degrees and then criticising the result. The bible isnt the rulebook of christianity, its the church's core teaching text. Its how the church uses the stories in the bible that is important, not the acts themselves which you wrongly presume are prescriptive.
Now the catecism if the catholic church IS the prescriptive teachings of the church. Try that on for size, bigot.
@havock89 Did you learn a mouthful of latin ? Its how the church uses the stories in the bible that is important, >>> Which church ? yours, or one of the 35,000 others ? Your comment sir, shows that you not only have no clue of the spirit of the gospels, but that you are an hypocrit.>>>>the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance" (Galatians 5:22-23
@havock89 I am impressed with your knowledge of Latin. But you should brush up a bit. Because the expression is" REDUCTIO AD ABSURDUM'" Your holy spirit is not helping out, is he ,?
@ndzoko Yeah you're right I i made a mistake in the spelling. And what was your response? ANOTHER ONE! Another fallacy of reductio ad absurdum! You should be less concerned about correcting people small spelling mistakes and forming a cogent argument.
For the ignorant, stupid or mocking fools - The holy spirit doesnt guide every action of our lives. The church teaches that our lives are ours to live. We choose to be guided by what we know of goodness.
