this is the insomnium gatherum movement/legacy, it is a movement within death metal, more precisley, melodeath, bands like , noumena, tracedawn, ensiferum, wintersun, mors principium est, eternal tears of sorrow,kalmah and pretty much every band which has the finnish melodic death metal style, ( note, not the gothermburg style). Even folk metal, as long as its melodeath, and has the finnish style. This is how i view what is happening today in melodeath, if anyone agrees, lets spread this idea .

Ensiferum is one band i would also recommend that i havent seen anyone already list. .They have more of a folk metal feel to them but the general doom/death metal sound is there.

Incredible how I found this band. Looking up Lamb of God and I search 'Lamb of God tv' and there is a commercial from '03 that has LoG and Himsa in it. Curious, I listen to Himsa and love it, so I get the discography. I use wikipedia to check and see all their albums and click the link that says 'Melodic death metal' Insomnium is listed as an example of this genre, using related videos on YouTube I now have 4 new bands I like Insomnium, Himsa, Kalmah, Mors Principium est. I love the internet.

maybe you would like my game. you play real music, not that 5-fake-notes crap other music games have. altho currently the input scheme is centered around a linear arrangement (ala stringed instruments) rather than the staggered way that pianos use (the black keys). also my game is not out yet. the first few versions will be largely classical music. i will make some onscreen visuals and keymapping that resembles a piano shortly. hopefully released within a month or 2. 8)

You can ask me whatever youwant! Its pretty cool you wanna star playin piano. My advice is to start with a few classical songs like Bach, Bethowen or other composers that have nice songs. This is going to prepare your finger speed and youll have a better reult with songs you like! ;) Also its important to check out if you really like playing piano cause ist gonna be a pitty if you regret! anyway i have to go! i have to say that "above the weeping world" is by far the best album in my huge collection in wich genres are very deversified. i bought "atww" and i firstly thought it was an ordinary album. but after some time, i just understood the music. it is as epic as it can get, it´s strength and poetry in the same pure way. this guys are really blessed. o5insomnium said they are close to musical perfection. i even say they already reached it. can´t wait for a new album..
