  • Go onto VWVortex and go search the MkIII Jetta & Golf forum. All of your questions will be answered there. Even ask me a question on there directly. It's easier than YouTube. lol

  • Nice to see a 16v on a MK3! Anyways, I would like to know how difficult was the swap for you? I just recently bought a 9A motor and it's going onto my 97 GTI. I'm assuming you would need the engine harness from either the passat or 16v MK2 GTI/GLI? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

  • Hey i have a 1994 golf with the aba

    was the swap worth it?

what engine management are you running.

    sweet ride man

  • It was completely worth it! The car is so much more fun now. It's a 9A from a '93 Passat. Just running Digi2 right now, then going to switch to MS.

    hey i have a 94 jetta

was planning on swapping out the top half of the motor just head and intake.what u think?

  • @kmejias04

It depends on what motor you have now. If it's an ABA, you'll have to do a lot of work to get it to work. It's easier swapping a complete engine.

The ABA with a 16v head drops the CR to 8.5:1, which is low, only good for forced induction.
