This is the best one of the series. I didn't even know this was Die Hard 3. I'd always known it as "Die Hard with a Vengeance." Anyways, the best part about the story and film is when they try to solve the Colonel's riddles to keep people from dying.

Do you know why I love this movie? Because it just captures NYC SO WELL. A hot summer day, kids eating 50 cent icies out on the sidewalk, the fed up banker, the subway, Yankees stadium, BQE, battery park, the WTC. Beautiful!

I love Die Hard 1, 3 and Live Free but I HATED 2. The ending of 2 was no good, the way he blows up the plane is so ridiculous and impossible, and the fact that all those British people die in that plane crash, that kind of thing shouldnt be in a Die Hard film.

This sequal rocked my world in spring of 95 cause this and "Goldeneye" came out in the same exact year,and I'm may recall on Siskel & Ebert, that they review this movie after it came out in theaters and good old Roger Ebert gave this film "Thumbs Up",and this movie was the best sequal since Part 2, 5 stars,btw Jeremy Irons is the best damn villian ever bar none.

Siskel gave thumbs down to both. After whinging and whining to replace Dalton with Brosnan, he was very unimpressed with both him and GoldenEye as a whole, which for me remains among the very best of Bond films. He also said all the action in Vengeance wore him out, whilst going on to defend Armageddon, a far more frenzied Bruce Willis film. They both rate Die Hard 2 : Die Harder a lot higher than this though, and interestingly even choose it over the critics' beloved original.
