  • agree wth D Opps!

  • I seriously do not like Glock in terms of the looks but I will say that if I were to bring one pistol with me in a hot situation, it would be a Glock. G17 is my duty, G26 is my off duty.

  • I always hated Glock pistols until a friend of mine let me put 5 mags though his Gen 1 Glock 22. Now I want a Glock 17 so bad its not even funny. I can see why people love the Glock so much. Plus, everyone who says you need large hands for a Glock is pretty much wrong because I have small hands and I could hold onto the Glock, Operate the mag release and slide release with out any trouble.

  • thx for the review nutnfancy!

I am only into Airsoft, but i am getting Glock GBB for the simple and effective design.

    Greetings

  • Society gets destroyed by corrupt bank systems and fraudulent politics not liberal gun laws.

  • "Where guns are illegal only the bad guys have guns" - anonymous

  • If u ban guns from law abiding citizens, gangs and other terrible groups can still retrieve guns illegally. It is only a matter of a higher price and im sure gangs can easily get that money. There is no point in banning guns overall

  • @phillip53k5hun8 Here's a funny story for you in california a few months back when they banned open carry and banned ammo and weapons being shipped to california a man was caught selling guns to anyone out of his taco stand what does that tell you

about whats wrong with all the laws there trying to pass there hurting the law abiding citizens

  • Even if it was a all plastic design are going to have all plastic ammunition its just hilarious what anti-gun critics try and pull.

  • Just curious, but how does the recoil on the 9mm Glock 17 compare to a 22 Magnum bullet? I have a Ruger Single Six with a 22Mag cylinder and i'm wondering how the recoil compares.

  • why disabled ratings?

  • It sucks the crazies scream the loudest, and therefore are the only heard.

I am very liberal, but I believe in the 2nd amendment and that it should remain, and not with any moronic regulations; removing one's defense capability increases an aggressor's chance to unleash all the havoc he or she wants.

    It's wrong.

Too bad any candidates I agree with for 2012 won't be elected because they aren't crazy enough (Gary Johnson, anyone?).

  • @brutedude1 It, in fact, does have a safety. It has three to be exact. Trigger safety, firing pin block, and a drop safety. So, in short "... the glock HAS THREE SAFETIES LOL" Do some research before you make asshatted comments.

  • Great vid & history I learned about my glock 17... Just subscribed

  • @TheGuyWithAWeirdName About 90% of my clothing are made in the USA, including my NB sneakers. The other 10% is European made clothing. BTW I said American made firearms only, so don't be a moron. I go out of my way to buy made in America only and I guess that's a lot better than what you do, which is not caring at all.

  • Competing corporations probably had a hand in those rumors about the glock not showing in scans

  • nutnfancy do you have a website?

  • Cool gun, but I buy "made in the USA" firearms only. Support your country by buying their products.

  • @OneManArmy4Life are your clothes made in USA?

  • "That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me; you know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't show up on your airport metal detectors and probably costs more than what you make in a month." Oh Bruce Willis, you're so silly...

  • The Glock is the supremacy of pistols.

  • NUTNFANCY! YOU ARE THE BEST BROTHER! THIS IS THE BEST GLOCK17 REVIEW I HAVE EVER SEEN! I'M PROUD TO SERVE BESIDE YOU BROTHER!

AND TELL VERI I SAID HELLO AS WELL. GODBLESS YOU BOTH!

THE REVIEWS YOU DO INSPIRE ME. I JUST CANNOT DO THESE REVIEWS AS WELL AS YOU. BUT GODBLESS YOU BROTHER YOU HAVE A GIFT!

  • Libs are bad ummmmm kay......

  • Google search " glock kaboom!"

  • @7x57mmMauser Google "1911 Kaboom" and Google "Sig Kaboom" and so on. What is your point?

  • wats your careers im reALLY INTERESTED IN FINDING A FUN OR COOL CAREER IF YOU COULD TELL ME THX

  • @c032970 he was in the airforce LT. COL

  • @runhorun yea i was close to joining the united states marine corps. but at the last second i was disqualified cause of an old injury

  • people are more polite when everyone carries a gun

  • i have large hands and when i picked up the g17 i felt like it would pinch the webbing on my hand if i shot it

  • Just got back from the range and my first time shooting the Glock 17. I have to say, I think I'm in love. The 17 is one of the best pistols I've ever shot. Definitely going to have to pick one up for myself.

  • Review gen3 vs gen4!!!

  • how much is it?

  • @15roadrider A new Glock 17 with 1 magazine will usually be between $400 and $600. They're a bit pricey, but worth every cent.

  • @Hickeydog2365 Compared to an HK, they seem really affordable

  • @Hickeydog2365 thats not that pricy considering other handgun designs like sig and hk. witch will run for 800 to 900

  • thanks

  • How do I find prices on Glock-17 guns?

  • @scoobydog411 Go to a gun store.

  • @scoobydog411 Disregard the smartass that responded to you. You can get a good idea on a number of prices, by checking cheaperthandirt (add the .com), or gunbroker (again, add the .com). MOST of the time the prices you'll find here are cheaper than an actual store. If you choose to go with an online purchase, you'll just need to find an FFL dealer in your area to ship to. :)

  • sir can i use my glock 22 barrel to my glock 23????

  • Hi I was looking into buying my first pistol, and wat I've short listed is a glock 17 and a fnp9, wud really appreciate if u cud suggest which one wud be a better option, or if there is a 3rd option dat u suggest...thanks

  • Just got a Glock 17, after watching your reviews on several different offerings and could not be more pleased with it after putting a few hundred rounds through it. I was wondering if you have ever experienced what I call "weak stream" with a Glock 17. Mine doesn't seem to eject fired rounds very far. It spits them out pretty close. Just wondering if you have experienced this before. Is it a Glock thing, or will this go away after putting more rounds through it.

  • Im a NRA member wohoo

  • continued. Because of the reports I have heard about Federal ammo. I have decided to give my 17 a good torture test. I already have a 1000 rounds without failure and will continue with out cleaning and lubing until I have a failure chamber. I will keep you updated if you like. Thanks for all your awesome videos. keep up the good work. TNP Rocks.

  • Hey Nutn, I was wondering what your thoughts are on the Gen 4's. I just picked up a Gen 4 Glock 17. I have been wanting a 17 since your first review it way back when. I absolutely love m 17. I took it straight out of the box, without cleaning or lubeing. I heard there was a problem with the Gen 4's and cheap federal ammo. So, I bought 200 rounds of cheapo federal ammo and didn't have a single failure. I have put a total of 1000 rounds of cheap ammo throught it without cleaning with no failures.

  • @JonDS317 im not american but i was born in U.S.A

  • @Fardeen834 and how old are you?

  • @Tangodown96

lol probably some 11 year old british kid

  • um. how did u get a real gun u cop?

  • @Fardeen834 you go to a gun store and buy a gun

  • I'm glad you pointed this stuff out man. Thank you!

  • ya know Nutn, ERGO is offering a process where you can send your glock into their factory and get a more 1911 or sig-style grip put on it for around 130$, go to their homepage and check out the video they have for it

  • can you switch the mag realease buttons on this?!?!!? plz answer!!!

  • @aldaman8 on gen 4 not gen 3

  • holy shit Gaston Glock??? probably the coolest sounding name ever

  • When he was talking about how this gun had been demonized I was just thinking about Die Hard 2!! That's funny that he brought that up. Also, I love how he used "whipping boy." Perfect choice of words.Nutn' is no dumb grunt, that's for sure!

  • I'm sorry, but how funny would it hav been if the slide had closed on his finger at 6:49

  • @CarbineKingClassic not at all that hurts he is just showing he is going to be safe you do that every fire arm both visually and physically inspect the gun is unloaded and not rounds in the chamber

  • @edog355

yeah i know what he was doing. i'm just sayin it would've been hilarious if that happened

  • @nutnfancy I love my G21, but the magazines suck. They're a pain to load past 5 rounds by hand, and fully loading makes them difficult to seat with the slide engaged. I'm not sure if the 9mm versions suffer from these issues though.

  • youre a fuckin nutjob arent you? you seem like a militia type. craziness. the last person who should have a bunch of guns is one who cant control the anger in his voice when hes talking to himself.

  • @JDev82 AE

  • It DID ruin the free world, we're speaking Russian aren't we? ;-p

  • That looks like a Springfield XD!

  • I bought a Glock 17 two months ago, have put @ 300 rounds through it, and am experiencing misfires and jamming....I am hoping that I can have it sent to the factory [ second time ] under warranty and have them fix the darn thing....Had I been smarter, and researched the G17 before purchase, considering all the negative comments on firearms forums, I would not have bought the thing.....I simply assumed that Glocks were good pistols....

  • I just watched this video for the second time and thanks alot dude

  • Thanks alot and nice video

  • Hey Nutn, great job on the reviews, and nice vids. How about a review of the glock 29? I'm trying to find a good carry option for outdoor protection from large predators. I think a video on carry options for hikers, fisherman, or even hunters on carry options for black bear, brown bear, pumas, etc, would be awesome. I would like to find info on different caliber effectiveness on different predators, or pro's and con's of different gun designs for predator protection. Great vids man keep it up

  • Great vid

  • Hey Nutnfancy, the crap misinformation about the "plastic pistol" is still around my friend. I just saw Rachel Madcow on Real Time, she not only spoke about the NRA backing plastic guns, and "cop killer bullets" 2011 and we still can't escape the lies.

  • I went to the store today to shop for a fullsize handgun, gunna purchase it the day I turn 21 (later this year). I've wanted to like Glocks but just couldn't get past the ergos. I was seriously leaning towards a sig p226, but today I tried the newest (4th gen) glock 17. I was in love, the ergos were SO much better for me. I have medium sized hands and the old glocks were just too big.

If you didn't like glock ergos before, try the new 4th gen glocks, you might be surprised

  • lol the gun is the picture xD

  • libs gotta ruin everything

  • @ftman390 Couldn't have said it better myself, And you can try to prove your case all day long and you just can't get it through there thick skulls, they just don't get it. It's either that or they make up some other excuse.

  • @ftman390 They try but they wont succeed, Because the Glock will stay strong and so will its fallowers....

  • Hey Nutn' is it safe to say that the Gen 4's are not as reliable as the Gen 1-3 ???

  • @TheHeartOfTheLion

From what I've read, Glock went with slightly different recoil springs in some of their generation 4 models. Some people have reported reliability issues when using ammo with slightly weaker loads (less gunpowder in the actual cartridge).

  • @TheHeartOfTheLion , the reason gen4's exist is because of a glock22 product failure coverup. the end.

  • Liking the reviews. I like how you run through a brief history of the gun before you run through the specs and your thoughts. I've handled one of these, and have nothing but good things to say about them. A very down to earth, no BS gun.

  • @Youc4ntsh00t Just a hint. Youtube bases a video's popularity on its viewcount and comment count. By commenting multiple times on these videos, you're only increasing their popularity and visibility on youtube. If you don't like the video, *don't comment multiple times*

That said, I dig nutnfancy's videos -- he speaks with confidence and experience, yet doesn't overlook the possibility that the viewer may have a different opinion than he.

  • @Youc4ntsh00t Oh you're into his videos, alright..you're so into them you've left this same comment on five of different vids. That does NOT demonstrate disinterest...... And thanks for the views, too. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • @nutnfancy , dude, i need your advice. I just bought a glock 17 and ive been getting horrible accuracy. Im wondering if its the sight on it, but do you know of ways to fix this? besides sending it back to glock. Ive also heard they shoot towards the left alot but with mine its like its f***ing random. >:(

  • @jaredleospirit

no offense but you sure its not the way you shoot that is affecting your groupings?

  • @LeLionNoire , i don't really know, im lining the back sights with the front, so I was thinking that its a screwed up sight. but I havent messed with the back sights yet, should it shoot good straight out the box? And how do I find a professional to look(shoot) with it to know if its me or not?

  • @jaredleospirit im a newb to firearms but best guess is go on a glock forum and ask other glock owners in your local area, they might be able to point you to a local gunsmith who maybe able to anser your questions... Or you can go to a range and ask the staff members there :)

Sorry can't help much, but good luck! if it does turn out to be factory problems id contact Glock directly, they might be able to sort things out for you :)

  • @LeLionNoire , yeah unfortunatley the only range around here is owned by a chinese family that can't even spell firearm.

  • @nutnfancy

Only an moron could think that society would be safer if the responsible people in it were unarmed.

  • @tubevideoguy762 there are plenty of societies that are extremely safe and have gun control.I'm just saying moronic is a bit unfair.

  • @amberstar39

those places don't really have gun control because if a criminal in those areas wanted to they could find a way around all the laws. if a country is somewhat safe with a human rights violation than it'll be even safer if good people were equally as armed as the criminals.

  • @tubevideoguy762 No law is perfect, but we still keep them.gun control laws make it harder for criminals to gain access.it also gives law enforcement the right in confiscate any firearm.the more responable people that keep guns the easier it is for criminals to have guns.

  • @amberstar39

it's been quoted before because it's so true banning guns is like banning air they're both impossible to do so the law needs to allow responsible people to own any firearm they so choose with expensive fees or legal red tape. that's common sense.

  • @tubevideoguy762 Sweet fact: In Norway (pop. 4.9 million), the police are unarmed, and the country has the lowest murder rate in the world. Yeah, we're morons! :)

  • @simenhjort

so somebody with an ak goes crazy on some cops how would they react without guns? the same thinking with civilians

  • @simenhjort Are you sugesting that it's the police that commit murder in other countries?

  • @wbwhite22 No, I suggest that if you make guns unavailable for the public, and even go as far as limiting the use of guns by police, you might just shoot the legs off the problem itself.

  • Where do you get your info from? Statistical information does not match up in some places. I've checked around on the internet: statistics need to be up to date and some information may have been tampered with by people with a political agenda. Not to mention crime rates exponentially increase with the number of people and other factors like economy. Norway (pop 4.9 mil) US (pop 307 mil).

  • @1911GreaterThanALL Sure, there might be other reasons why, but imagine a shootout between gangs that have no guns. I can not see how economy and population factors could possibly affect that. Sorry for putting it like that, i know it's stupid. And by the way, before you conclude that I am a socialist hippie, know that I am currently serving my dudy as a soldier in the Norwegian Army. And back to your question, the information is available in "UNODC: Crime Statistics", google it.

  • @simenhjort Trust me...they'd grab bats, axe handles, and knives.

  • @tubevideoguy762 The key is that the RIGHT people are armed.

  • @3doghowl

couldn't agree with you more but sadly government has never been able to keep weapons away from bad people so at least they can allow those who try and follow laws their second amendment right

  • @tubevideoguy762 THANK YOU now try telling that to our politicians

  • in die hard 2 john mclane said that bad guys used glocks german guns but Prussia had fallen appart years ago.

  • Silly question... Did you duracoat the receiver on your glock? Or is it just the of green option they offered for a short time? I know some cameras make that O.D green look more tan than green.

  • Good video, Going 2 wach part 2 now =]

  • This or m&p9?

  • ...is it possible to shot the glocks one handed? how does that affect accuracy?

  • @SteveSabbai maybe slightly less, but it's entirely possible to akimbo these.

  • @SteveSabbai It is possible of course. However you will be less accurate

  • listen ppl if you want to go to the range alot dont get .45........Yes it does have the knock down power but its not cheap to shooot any .45 . 100rnds will cost you at the very least 30$. and 100rounds will only last you about 20min. So pretty much every time you wanna shoot ur gun it will at the very least cost you 30$

  • rambling rambling

  • nutnfancy, what would you recomend a glock 17 or a beretta 92fs?

  • @TheLoganCurtis glock 17 all the way.

  • I want to get a glock but I'm not sure what caliber? I'm looking at 9mm .40 and .45 they all have advantages and disadvantages right now I'm leaning at the .40 because it's in the middle with firepower and recoil. If anyone has any suggestions, i need all the opinions i can get.

  • @MrIlikegadgets Screw that 40. Get the 45. I have no idea why they even made the 40 round. 45 cal out of a glock is not that bad on recoil.

  • @rickbar123 thanks man im going to check that out

  • @rickbar123 i agree. why would you need something between a 9mm and a .45?

  • @rickbar123 i think they did it because the 9mm bullets that officers used during the north hollywood shootout cant penetrate the kevlar of the robbers.so they made that bullet which is between a 9mm and a 45

  • @kjsh987 , 9mm bullets would penatrate the most out of handgun bullets dude. a .40 would bounce off even faster than a 9mm because of the lower velocity. if cops needed to upgrade their handguns for body armor they would use .223 in their handguns. but it is what it is.

  • @jaredleospirit It could be the type of ammo your using, it could be the sights, it could even be the barrel itself, take it apart and take a look at it, make sure nothing seems warped or too outta place. Try to find a gun smith to take a look at it, or like LeLionNoire said, glock forums. There can be a variety of reasons why your having accuracy problems with it.

  • @darkman30200 , yeah i know its not the ammo cuz i use feds for practice. and i dont think its the bore twist but i'll take another look, but it may either be the sights, or my grip, but the thing is I have excellent accuracy with other "iron sight" old school sights with 9mm's. AND i know forums help but I'm more of a Tactile Learner that needs a pro to look at it and shoot it with me.

  • @jaredleospirit Understandable, im the same way, im a hands on person as well. I'm not sure what your problem could be, take a pencil or a pen or something really straight and lay it on your sights, see if it stays straight, if not then you know its the sights. If its a grip problem your having then thats a bit different, you can try buying separate grip modifiers but i would definitely recommend waiting until you have an expert take a look at your glock, dont wanna waste money lol

  • @kjsh987 , sorry, i mean 9mm bullets will penetrate most out of .40 and .45 choices.

  • Wow. Just bought the Glock 17 last week. Just shot it today. What a fantastic gun. Not too much recoil, excellent weight. I shot pretty good. So many mods though. I think I'm going to get the 32 round mag and the extended slide release first. Then there's a gunshow next week. Too much. Thanks nutnfancy for your recomendation!

  • totally love hearing about the history & contraversy. well done nutnfancy. you rule dude.

  • u should teach gun safety

  • I own the Gen lll Glock 17. I love it. I've tried the Taurus and the Beretta, but I do prefer the Glock. I also own a Glock 30, also a very sweet pistol!

  • Once again, a top notch tabletop by nutnfancy! As always, great job and keep up the good work, I know you will! You are a beacon of light in a dark world, and through your videos you help many good people. Once again, my deepest gratitude for your good service.

  • I bet the idiot who made up the "all plastic pistol" crapspiracy must have been on some serious drugs. All plastic pistol my ass! If i wanted a lightweight gun that's durable, id have gotten stainless steel framed pistol.

  • I love your videos mate. Greetings from an Austrian serviceman.

  • this is a desert eagle not a glock

  • @Streetmastaalex psssssh u dumbass if that's a pea shooter next to a desert eagle......

  • @Streetmastaalex you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. stop mistaking computer games for the real world, kid.

  • @3vegemite i hav a bb one

  • @Streetmastaalex LOL You sir, are either the least intelligent person I've ever come across, or have the best sense of humor.

  • @Soky270 ;)

  • @Streetmastaalex haha so I'm guessing it's the latter

  • @Streetmastaalex Are you kidding me?

  • HELLO DUDEZ

  • I actually wrote an essay about the Glock series of pistol for my 11th grade practice regents supporting how it improves American economics and I passed that essay with a better grade than I could have ever hoped for.

  • I respect your opinion of saying the Glock 17 as your preferred pistol for concealed carry due to the lighter weight but when do you wear body armor in a concealed carry situation? If I was wearing body armor I prefer G17. When I shot the Glock 17 and Sig P226 side by side Sig won out. The decocker on the Sig is a "safer" option to the little sliver "safety" on the Glock and the weight of the Sig although heavier felt better in the shoot then the Glock and i shot more accurately with the Sig.

  • Nutn, I'll be honestly with you. I've been a subscriber for quite awhile and I've noticed that you've compared the glock 17 to every 9mm you've reviewed. Not having shot one, I couldn't really understand the comparison, but I was at the range today and noticed they had one for rent so I said why not and rented it. I only put 50 rounds downrange and I was in love. Ended up buying one. Thank you, Nutn.

  • Hey nutn, I was wonder if you could possibly do a review on the new FMK 9mm.

  • GLOCK without a Duracot is not a Glock at all :D

And in dunno about the ounces of Glock

  • wow got enough safety tips??

  • Excellent job on the historical aspects of the Glock. Its very important to understand where it came from to appreciate its function and design. Great job nutn.

  • I love my Glock 17...dude.

  • great vids nutn, i love the glock i just started IDPA, but i've been spoiled by Les Baer triggers for Bullseye for many years :D

  • Hoolywood also had Tommy Lee Jones saying glock was the best gun in the wolrd as he played a us marchal

  • hi not sure if you check post on old vids but i just saw your first vid about 6 months ago when i was thinking about geting my first gun i didint get one but just recently it poped in my head again and after a week or so of watching your vids i decided on a glock 17 as of now im just waiting 2 more days till i pick it up thanks 4 the vids and all the info keep it comin your fan and new subscriber mark

  • I have seen many of your reviews, and I have learned a lot from your reviews about many different handguns. I do have one problem with your reviews, I don't believe you are objective enough on these reviews. When you compare the g17 to other guns, my take is that you talk only about the good things about the g17, and only focus on the bad things about the other models. The g17 did jam but only in the cold. I would like to see a video where you objectively talk about the bad points on a glock.

  • What an old video but you still do an EXCELLENT job of reviewing. Glock 17 is my full size service pistol, XD 9mm is my CCW, love it. Thanks for the reviews!

  • is this weapon a good conceal carry?

  • @2pacalypse25 Not to answer for nutn or veri, but try to conceal it and you should get your answer. Carrying in pocket is simply out of the question. Try tucking it in your waistband and you will notice that unless you're wearing an incredibly baggy shirt, the long handle will stick out like a sore thumb.

Even if you could find a way to conceal it, I highly doubt you would find a way to conceal it "comfortably".

Find something much slimmer and with a shorter handle.

  • Comment removed

  • @mrkarlpants i wish i had could get a gun, but i live in canada where the gun laws are fucking retarded. you have to go through so much bullshit just to get a handgun. you cant even conceal carry it. your not even allowed to use guns for self defence here, like what the fuck is that. handguns here are restricted and long guns are non restricted. you need to get a licenese for long guns then a different one if u want a handgun.fuck it makes me mad. WISH I LIVED IN THE STATES

  • @2pacalypse25 Not really, your better off with the subcompact models for that.

  • After shooting my friend's Glock, liked the style and trigger action, and watching this vid, I went out and bought a Glock 17 mainly because of this review and many different people's word of mouth. Thanks for the great posts Nutn. I'm a long time viewer but recent subscriber. Keep 'em comin'.

  • After I break down my Glock 17 (gen 4), sometimes I have trouble putting the slide back on. I line it up, slide it on, and it gets caught on a piece of metal sticking up on the right internal side of the gun. I think it is a piece of the trigger mechanism. I can't jack the slide all the way back. If I move this piece of metal (trigger mechanism connector?) forward, it moves the trigger forward and then allows me to fully jack the slide back. Any suggestions?

  • @GuapoGaucho It is the trigger bar. Just push it forward before putting the slide on the rails.

  • why does veri respond to all of your comments? please reply

  • @BrandonWosilis No, he only replys right after a video is posted.

  • question can i put my glock 17 barrel to my glock 19???

  • @krlorica yes, it will just stick out the end.

  • listen, It is not that people were worried about the xray, it was the worry that there wasn't enough steal to trigger the alarm when it was passed through on a person, this is much different now with more sensitive tools, Beyond that, its not like glock would be shut down from being asked to use more steal, its ok to be sceptically of government policy, it was just used to help protect people.

  • Thanks for the valuable info, nutn. I finally upgraded my sw9ve to the glock 17. It's amazing how two guns with almost identical internal workings can be such different levels of quality. I'm much happier with my glock thus far.

  • you are the best!!!!

  • I really do not like the Glock trigger safety.

  • i heard that the glock jams and stuff like that is that true

  • @TheLoganCurtis

Glock jams are common for "limp wristed" shooters. When the velocity of the gun coming back towards you during recoil is similar to the velocity of the empty shell casing that's attempting to leave the chamber, this casing will often get stuck. This is very rarely a problem for somebody holding a glock with a proper grip. It is more commonly a problem in women and elderly people.

  • @mrkarlpants thanks for the info

  • Best G17 review...digging the History and Sociological issues that came about during the time.

  • Wish you were legaly allowed to own fire arms in Britain, varies rifles and hand-guns and such, be good :( the only gun Ive shot was a little i think it was an 18 gauge shotgun at clays, I want to use the Glock so badly I heard the british special forces used it when
