i have a spica on my thumb today but my thumb is warm, red and numb with pins and needles in it, it feels fairly tight, should i leave it on or take it off imedietly? its supposed to stay on for 2 days and then take off.

Thank you for this! This is exactly how the ER put this on me when I had a small break in my wrist last weekend and then I took it off yesterday because my wrist hurt so much and itched and was sweaty and then I tried to put it back on myself and it hurt worse but by watching this video, my fiancee was able to put it right back on the right way! when plaster dries it hardens.

When conforming the plaster to the thumb, do you really want to squeeze on it the way you demonstrated? Also, just leaving their arm floating like that; they're going to become tired. Great vid for educational purposes, but practically, there are better ways to do it

or does it become hard when the plaster fabrick harden and it comes hard whith the fabrick

so you need that plaster fabric to make it hard under it but one question my uncle broke his arm and the casting tape i think the color thing that you put on it yu know what i mean how dose that get hard on my uncles cast on the color stuff is hard how do you make it like that
