lol you all don't get it, most metal today is a bunch of hypercompressed crap, the competition is nothing because you can literally program any metal song.
A dog can become smart when we educate it, and train it. Apparently a dog not only to pick up the phone and keeping the house, but can help to operate the electronic items or become a sound engineer/operator, while we wanna record some tracks.
That was frickin' great! My dog knew how to mix pretty well too, but we didn't have the gear that you crazy kids have nowadays. Thanks for the laugh and hey, not a bad tune either.
thanks man, right now i'm using a boxer and it sounds pretty good but i've been thinking about upgrading to a border collie so i don't have to spend so much time with the post eq bull shit. thanks for the demo, you've confirmed what i've been thinking for awhile.
Being constructive man, I say keep it within -18dB up to about -12 dB at its highest peak on the master track. Thats a range where you still get some volume but without that awful 'pumping' that gives you ear fatigue from so much makeup gain from compression. Also try to compress under 4:1 or so, that way your music sounds less robotic. It would be WAY better if they stopped pushing to 0dB and over and compressing like 10:1 and shit just to make sure I know its loud. Save it for the concert...
I say turn the dB down dude. You lose alot of dynamic range when you crank that fucker so loud and compress the fuck out of it too. Rock and metal albums sound like hell compared to ones 15 and 20+ years ago because they compress at such high ratios now and push the volume past a certain point that it literally gets physically jarring to listen to. If the volume on my comp is only 30 percent and I gotta turn Youtube's volume almost ALL the way down..your track is too loud and too compressed.
@fearedse Yeah man your DAR Forza video took his attention away from the neighbor's cat outside the window and that doesn't happen too often! Absolute monster tone you got from that. Your 5150 III clip's my favorite though, I NEED that amp bad!
what was the dog doing with izotope ozone multimband harmonic exciter, was that applied to some drum or a guitar track? i've never used that bit of it before. I sitll need to re-read the manual!
@Scorge120 Cubase crashing too often when there's a lot going on at once like this clip so Reaper it is! Still use Cubase for programming midi and 'lighter' projects.

When u use the harmonic exciter doesn't it ruin your snare? It always does mine. Maybe im using it too much
jeffreemurder 1 year ago
@jeffreemurder Use a small amount of it, keep bypassing the plugin to hear it's impact, it's very easy to get lost in it and use too much.
