@babiixcrazii I would flat iron every couple of months (on HIGH heat). But the real heat damage came from blow drying my hair straight (as straight as I could get it anyway) just to cornrow or get extensions.
@kenyaaxoxo I wasn't brave enough to do a BIG chop. I let my hair grow out until I could put it in ponytail and then one day after a wash, I chopped off my permed ends. When I started over in 2009 I just kept chopping and chopping the dead ends until I was left with what you see today. :)
