Red one is an American built TD-18 from the 1940s
The BTD-20 has 6 cylinder Rolls-Royce engine.
The TD-18 has a 6 cylinder International engine.
The TD-18 has a "gasoline start" diesel which starts on petrol and then is switched to diesel when it has warmed up. The man adjusting the engine at 2.40 is doing just that.
Farm crawlers have largely been replaced by giant 4 wheel drive tractors these days. It is great to see this video!
@OzzInter Thanks for the info, very informative and is stuff I really didn't know - Thank you :-) Glad you enjoyed it, just wished it hadn't been so windy on that day....
Thank you Wayne, all nice comments appreciated. There were some cracking machines at this event, love those big cats, and Internationals... Awesome machines.
I dare say he does it all again properly once every one has gone home. These places are just playgrounds for the boys with the biggest tractors... :-)
Yes there are lots of farmers but I think they use more modern machinery now. The people you see here tend to be enthusiasts who like me, just like old machines. No Im not a farmer in my spare time, I just like big old machines like tractors..... ha ha
Yes I know what you mean Bob, they certainly look like they take no Prisoners, I like to feel the ground judder when stood close to them as they pass by... Awesome machines if only I could have one!! I think Mrs Paul might have something to say.. ha ha
