  • Where can I get a 350z touch up paint and gloss? Which brand is good.

  • wow you seem young i dont see a whole lot of young painters

  • does matte paint cost more than gloss and metallic paint??

  • was it just one coat for the base? after each coat are you suppost to wait an hr then start the next coat? if u letting it dry are u suppost to let it try or are u suppost to use something to dry it?

  • @RiderNDancer1 I put 3 coats of base down but wanted to keep the video short so i only shown 1 coat of each step. I sprayed this car with solventborne paint, usually after youre done spraying a coat you can spray another coat in 10-15 minutes, waterborne paint is faster and requires less flash time but you have to have air moving across the panel for the paint to dry.

  • @racer450r50 you mind sharing the prep work before paint?

  • @TheRumrum824 after all the repaired areas were primed I block sanded the primer with p400 sandpaper and then used p600 over the entire panel for each panel painted since there was no blending involved.

  • clear sealer, what is that? Can't remember any clear sealer from the days when i used glasurit.

  • @ballan2 baseacoat adhesion promoter

  • @racer450r50

could you please try to explane further?

I'm from norway, my technical english is not the best:)

  • @xkEvln Thanks!

  • Sherwin's 931 clear is crap it looks good for a day and then to dies back big time and you have to buff it all.... their 939 is a good clearcoat but it takes a longer bake cycle...

  • Hey mate, what type of clear are you using? and what spraying temp do u have the oven set to? thanks..:)

  • Sherwin Williams cc931 with the sprayboot temp around 85F

  • Good for you, did the paint start getting to you

and did you give painting altogether? You look like you are pretty good.

  • Im not going to give up painting but I dont want to do it everyday as a career.

  • rather odd way to paint the bonnet what about blending the colour so it all looks even

  • the color was a metallic black so there wasnt any real need to blend the color, We use Sherwin Williams paint at our shop and the clear tends to lay out really nice despite what pattern you use.

  • Super Cherry!!!!!!!! Black & Shinny

  • shiny

  • satajet? devilbiss?

  • Sata Jet 3000 with 1.3 tip, doesnt spray clear very well.

  • are you saying that sata 3000 rp doesn't spray clear well?that is the gun I use and I say it is the best gun for clear

  • the rp sprays clear really well, i was using a regular 3000 1.3 tip.

  • you mean the hvlp version of 3000?

  • very good job =)damn bugs...lol

  • Silky sexy black. Very nice.

  • thank you

  • Im also getting into painting wut was the temp in the booth and how long was the flash time? Also wuts the clear sealer?

    THanks.

  • flast time is usually 10-15mins between coat. clear sealer is basically a clear basecoat or basecoat blender which help the new paint fades out cleaner with the old paint. booth temp is 72-80 degrees F. depends on what reducer u will use. i paint cars for living.

  • sorry bout not answering, I saw evo's comment and was like wtf why did he write that. anyways evo basically summed it up. I was spraying at 89 degrees and using a slow drying reducer in the clear.

  • stupid bug

  • Great Job :D
