The most perfectly placed piece of original music in a game I've ever come across. This song adds such emotional depth to a truly incredible gaming experience.
Wow this is such an emotional song. I don't think any other song fit that particular moment in the game as that. One did. I mean that song basically is what the game is about. Excellent song, excellent game. Good pick Rockstar....
Oh boy di I remember that part of the game, a harsh but beautiful plain, a looming cliff-top with a golden sunset over a serene river, taking in everything I could as the song played...it was truly beautiful.
This song was so unexpected as my brother played RDR and I sat and watched. All of the sudden, this song plaays and we give each other this look like, "WTF?". He just sat back and slowly walk along the dusty trail, pleased with the moment. In fact, it was the best part of a game this year.
this song was such an important part in the chemestry in the game.. just to sit on the horse and look at the scenery while the song played made it more than a game..
i think the reason this song played was because john marston was getting sick of chasing bill and was really missing his family at this point in the game.....
@colonelsandersjr rockstar gave gonzalez a sort of storyboard of how the scene would play out and asked him to write a song for it. its only natural that we would relate the song with the scene in the game; it was written specifically for that purpose.
@colonelsandersjr really? "flip out"? what are you talking about? i offered an explanation of the circumstances surrounding the song and game. no one flipped out, except you at the last guy who commented you.
and good for you, you love it how you can post a comment and other people comment on it. its called youtube.
@kona6495 I guess you could take that view, but there's the whole 'Suspension of disbelief' factor involved. I know it's a game and not real, but if you let yourself get into it, it can still affect you in almost the same was as a real life experience. Almost. And only if you let it :)
2 guys were too Far Away to hear this

@howie094 and I know that dumbass. So shut the fuck up. I'm just saying people relate it to the game when I'd relate it to the artist.

As this song started I rode my horse to the top of the bluff above the river into a huge red sunset.
Had to rein him in and just sit and listen as I took in the scenery. Felt like a real magic moment in real life... So good!
