When I can't find any sushi rice here where I live, I just use regular rice (regular rice being Jasmine) and I mix in a little Mirin, which is rice wine vinegar and it holds up so much better. Calrose rice is also great for making sushi. :D

Wow I wish I had met ya sooner. I Had gotten into Sushi and Onigiri making. I bought a bunch of molds and sushi making kits from J-box.com! Also discovered Bento and food drops and onigiri flavoring packets there too. I also need to find another online food outlet in Japan. For example. The sushi roll mold makes a "log" needing big Nori sheets. Wall-mart only sells the little sheets. J-box don't sell it at all. Help!!
