  • You're definitely going to have to replace that armature, there's no repairing that. That's the worst I've ever seen one burn up in such a way lol. I think Jeb ("Blue10AEMia") has one more armature left, but you'll need to get a count of how many bars are on the commutator to see if the one he has will work. They made two different bar counts on the armature's commutator over the years, and one won't work in the other's field. Just shoot him a message and see how much he wants for it.

  • @murrfarms mine has the older one, i know that, and i'll ask him.

  • I'd just replace the motor, and keep the 5/6 rotor.

    BTW, those bearings sound terrible.

  • @LouisvilleTorn8o I can't really just replace the motor, i;'m going to have to get a new armature, also you can't really hear the bearing's but they are dead, the clicking sound is the brushes moving over the warped part in the armature.

  • must have iced up, siezed and burnt out. such a shame...

  • @cheetawolf i know i hate when that happens

  • @thunderbolt10031 now i need a new chopper. D: or i might just solder that dead link and hope it comes back to life.

  • @bait28 thats what i would do

  • @thunderbolt10031 the replacement i'm ordering is 300$!!! i don't think soldering will fix it though... maybe.
