On the whole I found the whole Sharm El Sheik experience a pain in the arse. Not the location but the fucking annoying begging Egyptians who WILL rip you off any chance they get. Morrocco is bad but in Egypt they are relentless.

It utterly ruined my holiday. I won't go back and tell everyone who's thinking of it to avoid like the plague.

oh, and for the record the reefs out there are in a mess - proper destroyed by over fishing and greedy Egyptians stealing the coral

This was taken on the Hyatt Regency house reef and is named The Gardens. It is generally considered the premier reef on this bit of coastline and most of the day trips out of Naama bay come here. There are 3 sections named Near, Middle and Far Gardens

I just got back from Dominican Republic and saw 2 fish when snorkeling, was in Naama bay in Sharm el Sheikh in November and so far its the best place for snorkeling for me, however i am going to the Great Barrier reef in australia in December so will probably think differently then

I have tried many places there and the best in my opinion was the "sheikh coast"

and I tried a german hotel ( I Really can't remeber the name now) It was in a reserve area called "hadabet om el seed" and It was amazing there.

i went sharm el sheikh a few weeks ago and it was fucking amazing, you dont even have to go underwater to see all this. i was having some dinner and i looked over the edge and saw a load of lion fish just skimming acrosss the water.

Nice, we went shorkelling off a boat near Giftun Island (near Hurghada), and that was the most amazing thing I've seen in all my 14 years. The coral was breathtaking. We even saw a Giant Moray Eel, hat was 3m long!

Hi - thanks. The camera is a Fuji Finepix

F40 with a matching waterproof housing. It has an underwater mode that helps reduce the blue haze you get underwater. The videos were taken on the House Reef at the Hyatt Regency Hotel - the best hotel in Sharm as far as I am concerned.

my father lives in egypt and i go see him every year and he always takes us to different places so we can ''see the country of our heritage'' as he always says... i was stupid enough to tell him i didn't want to go to sharm.. what the hell was going on in my mind when i said that!! how i'd love to go there.
