  • "You think you deserve that pain - but you don't"

The best line in the movie, so true, so sad...

  • I love the picture frame scene. It was brilliant. I saw a lot of me in her character. Anyway, I loved how it dissolves to darkness and the picture of the bird blends with the scenery. The way her fingers seeped through his and the background music playing in that scene. It was so powerful..I just love the two of them. Best couples: 'Wristcutters', 'Watching the detectives', 'Definitely, Maybe'..

  • So many emotions in this movie!

This is my fav indie film : )

  • I would have cut this piece from 3:40 (from where she leaves the store) on only.

  • to feel

  • What the hell?!?!Why did they put the portrait in the tree??LOL I need to see this movie, but it just has this depressing feel to me. I'm VERY GLAD I didn't see this as a child, because I suffered depression then..

  • watching this movie makes me fall in love with you even more

  • Love the movie.

  • this is not a comercial movie so maybe if you see you will not undertan it, like why he burn his hans. but is a grate movie is not burring at all

  • This movie was wicked..different..

  • I've gotta see what this movie is about.

  • wow.. great

  • why did he burn his hand

  • He tries to impress his children-- he suppose to use alcohol which doesn't burn, but he forgot and use a different solution which does burn.

  • @TheFilmCreator1 You want the short version or the long one?

  • So why did the guy light his hand on fire...? Im sure im missing their so much meaning to this but i just cant see it...

  • i dont get it , whats this movie about?

  • a lot of wonderful things

  • Great video, has almost all my favorite parts.

  • What is the title of this movie (if this is a movie)..please??

  • Me and You and Everyone we know, by Miranda July.

  • where can i watch this movie????

  • when i was younger i always use to do that with my feet, but for me, the top (towards the toes) was mental closeness and the bottom (by the heal) was physical...i was a strange child. AMAZING MOVIE :]

  • How romantic!

  • it's fin... not fim. or was that intentional?

  • this

    movie

    is

    amazing.

    this montage

    video is

    AMAZING.

    <3

  • I have to see that movie =O

  • i dont get it...

were those clips from a longer movie?

  • yes, see it. as you could probably tell it is quirky but it is also very good.

  • nevermind thats chris and irwin

  • thats me n josh :)

  • if ur reading this and bored 7

  • PS: didn't notice the messy shots or "crap". . .This is a festival film done on a low budget shot in a small time frame. good on you for knowing about all the fancy film making what not but mabye you could let it go a little and open up to the nice stuff? :)

  • I think she is awesome. a funny, charming, ridiculous, romanticised, fairytale. This movie is so honest and the characters show their weakness and vulnerability. I thinks it's beautiful.

  • It's a good movie.

  • i would much rather watch home alone 3 part 8 in your favorites section.

  • this is my absolute favorite movie. this and garden state

    i love it!

  • And this is why this movie is crap: At 6:40, there is a smash cut scene change, with a complete disruption of the (crappy) music. The establishing exterior shot is messy at best. This whole scene, is in fact a disorganized ensemble of crap. No matter what "deep" meaning you people imagine the movie has to fit your "edgy" image you wish to portray yourselves in, this movie is simply a clusterfuck.

  • aww but i like the shoe part. even it i dont really think it fits too well. i dont think it makes the entire movie crap.

  • I noticed it too. It has that Garden State

psuedo-artistic babble with the bullshit metaphors that just make my eyes roll.

  • This isn't a coherent scene in the movie. Stuff happens in between; it's just that whoever posted this just put the particular clips that pertained to this subplot together. It was not meant to be seen this way.

But whatever, to each his own.

  • I'm wondering as well, if I should really look into this movie. Any thoughts?

  • This movie is life changing.

I know this comment is like, 5 months old.

I really hope you watched it.

  • Hahah, that's okay, thank you for replying because I had completely forgot about wanting to see this. Writing down the title juuust about now.

  • one criticism--there should be a warning for folks who haven't seen the film--this is a spoiler!

  • Nice little indie film.

Managed to catch it here in S'pore a couple of years back I believe.

  • Is this movie worth watching? I mean, the love story looks way cute, but apparently the other story-line is a lil disturbing-and i don't think i can sit through that. Any recommendations?

  • have you lost it man?!?!?!!?!?/ it by far the most brilliant movie ever made.

  • absolutely worth watching. brilliant!!

  • you must watch it! though this is pretty much the substance of the movie, i think (though it is pretty uncomfortable to sit though) the rest of it is really quite great. and his two kids i think are vital.

  • It's like these people are on an acid trip 24/7.

  • why would you edit out everything in between?

  • omg <3

    it's awezome dude :D

the movie is kind of wierd but i really liked it :'D

  • this is awesome

    and she's reeeeeally skinny lolol

  • Man, this movie is so different, so unique. Either you love it or hate it. I loved it!

  • Aw man, I cried :*)

  • Aw man, I cried :*)

  • what is the soundtrack of this movie? who are the artists?

  • the soundtrack is by Michael Andrews, the same guy who did Donnie Darko

  • thanks for posting this i love this film and can't wait to see it again

  • it doesn't show the whole movie, though. but you should definetly see it. it's really good.

  • is it like... an actual movie?

  • yes

  • i love these movies.

    i've been watching them.

    and its just so amazing

they take you in and you have the abiltity to block out the entire world while you watch

  • perhaps I have a thing for crazy losers, because I think she is wonderful

  • WOW ! I new to exploring U tube but am hooked thanks to Vids. like this ! We all need these shows along with comedy to keep us sane. Thanks. p.s. ,, I am a Nurse Asst. in home health care, loved that part. Aloha , Rick.

  • i love every single moment of this film..one of few i love to watch from time to time when i feel down...thanks a lot for posting it..

  • This movie made me feel like a 7 year old again, its full of human textures. You don`t have to get a movie like this, just watch and get into it.

  • I am so confused....

  • Is this some kind of komedy like napoleon dynamite?

Or is it som kind of wierd love art?

  • i haven't seen the whole movie but i don't get it...

  • honestly.. i don't get this movie.. all i know is that the two girls are preparing for the future by training their sexuality, and the man needs to learn how to take care of his kids more.

  • well maybe you should just think about it

it's an abstract film that can have so many different meanings, even if the creator did not intend upon it

    thats what abstract is

  • i don't need to think about anything, whatever i see i'll interpret it in my own way, even if that's not exactly what the author intended it to be. And i knew what abstract meant.

  • ahaha

    maybe i was too foward

    sorry

but i still think you could see a lot of very very small moments that have really really small meanings

  • yeah, i only saw mid-way of the movie... i think it was the part where the Dad burned himself infront of his kids, and so forth.

  • like, theres this one part with the fish

which was an intermission from the love story

it was about life, i do believe

anyhow, the movie's also about art, but to what extent the movie can project the meaning, is beyond me

    its stuff i can't explain

  • the movie seems to have control as a theme. almost every scene comments on it: too much control, too little control, control vs cooperation ect. it is interesting to watch the movie from this perspective

  • i haven't seen the movie, but, I know Miles Thompson.

  • when i saw this movie i was so creeped out, but it grew on me. the soundtrack is great.

  • Is this movie out for rent or something? because I am intrigued.

  • some of the sweetest moments of this movie

  • best freaking movie in my life.

  • best one to me too

  • Reminds me of the Calvin and Hobbes strip in which art is explained through snowmen. Specifically, this movie falls under the "You just think you're above it all" category.

  • The ending of this clip is so gorgeous.

  • But isn't following your directive antithetical to the purpose of your crusade?

  • pretty weird lol, the lady is funny tho

  • God I love this story and the acting.

  • thanks for uploading this, i just watched the movie an hour ago, and i'm so impressed : )

  • this is the weirdest movie i've ever seen

  • i wonder if they filmed this in the valley because there's a tyronne street in Van Nuys, CA

  • this is the most wonderful piece of modern cinema. Thank you, thank you miranda july, for reminding me my heart can open if only a little.

  • y did he burn his hand

also where can i get this movie

  • great movie !
