Well if some of you people acutally watched the full show when it was aired, by the way was even much more funnier and detailed, since they didn't go through all the steps of govt. regulations on this clip, you would also know that that we don't get these lovley light bulbs from I believe Kentucky, who made them just as well, I may be wrong with the actual state, regardless, we're now getting them from China on a ship accross the ocean vs. our own United States..Go Carbon Emmissions!!

oh my god who are all these morons who claim to know everything about fluorescent bulbs but haven't even bothered to google them. Don't go to work if you think they're so dangerous, because I guarantee they're all over your office (the spirally bulb is the same thing as those long tubes at the office...holy shit do I really need to explain this?). The mercury is very slight, you're more in danger of getting mercury poisoning by eating tuna than by breaking a fluorescent bulb.

Yes, the earth has warmed. By 1 degree Fahrenheit over the past one hundred years. But haven't you heard? Now we're in for another mini ice age. The last one we had ended in 1850. Oddly enough, that's the same year that the experts say this warming trend began. Weird, huh?

We are simply in another cycle, which(contrary to our arrogant belief), we have nothing to do with. Co2 levels are predictable compared to the chaotic fluctuations of climate in the last 50000 years. the 1 degree rise in global temps over the last century was nullified by the loss of that same degree during 2001-2007.....

There was a warming trend in the middle ages that was a lot warmer than the time frame we live in now. All that occurring before human industrialization. Humanity having an impact on climate change is just pure made up bullshit made up by Al Gore to make money off stupid people and it to is an attempt to control every aspect of the lives of Americans.

the vast majority of the bulbs are made in china, who doesn't give a thought to pollution. So the energy saved with the bulbs is grossly off-set with the carbon footprint left from factory-->China docks-->American docks--->your local retailer. If u break one there is a absurd 15 step EPA clean-up process including driving to your local recycling plant(if you have a local one). The "green" arguement doesn't hold water or mercury. Traditional bulbs are mostly made in Kentucky and cost a lot less..
