  • I think I'll look at them from behind a glass.

  • @xogeneva It's only racist if a white person says it, seems to be the general consensus. You sir, are a racist. This guy does it to save your life, so when you tease a kind cobra on your trip to Egypt you won't die... If you get medical attention quick anyway.

  • Theoretically couldn't snake milkers wear shark chainmail gloves or something else that could protect them while they're doing it?

  • @Songwriter4God See below . Gloves do not work for many reasons.

  • one word, RESPECT.

  • See this is why kids need to stay in school.

  • @PiNKSUNSHiN3 Not sure what you mean by that comment. Everyone that works at Kentucky Reptile Zoo has a college degree. Some have master degree's. We do this job to save lives not to make money or to become famous. All our staff have published scientific papers in peer reviewed journals and students from colleges here in the USA and abroad come here to study.

  • @kyreptilezoo, Great point! I think there is a colossal misconception that people do these kinds of dangerous jobs; only do them because they lack the education or necessary degree to do something "less" dangerous. The truth is that one has to be properly educated in order to do this kind of a job. Most ppl won't view this sort of job as a life-saving until they're in desperate need of anti-venom. Still, a big part wonders how anyone can do this for a living! I do respect it and do see the need.

  • @mrjohnredcorn2 Exactly, it's not stupid, it's heroic almost, they risk their limbs and sometimes lives, to save other people.

  • @Songwriter4God Yes, you can say there is a great deal of heroism involved in this kind of work. I will admit that I find it frightening myself. But I do admire it & praise it. Not only does it take a great deal of education, it also takes great deal of selflessness. The truth is no matter what anyone thinks about people that do this kind of work, they could have easily chosen other career paths, but didn't. There are a handful of jobs that are considered "God's work" -I would classify this one!

  • @mrjohnredcorn2 yeah, I wouldn't be ableto do it either. I'll stick to dogs. :P Raising guide dog puppies is much safer than milking snakes, but, it's a dirty job, and someone's gotta do it. :P

  • @PiNKSUNSHiN3 Wth are you talking about?

  • @PiNKSUNSHiN3 shut up he makes lots of money soo looks who talking bout school eh

  • can't they chill the snakes so they can't move as fast .

the guy gave bits ov his hands, is an AC unit to much to give back ?

  • @bringerovdeath If they get cooled too frequently, they will get sick- they can get respiratory infections, and they may stop eating.

  • @kyreptilezoo it would only need to be once a week for when they get milked. if thats to frequent there has to be a better way to keep the person's hands safe and is snake friendly.

  • @bringerovdeath Once every two weeks (how often we extract) is way too frequent and would result in the snakes becoming sick. If you have any suggestions feel free to offer them- we always try new ideas if we think they might work.

  • fuck you animal planet post the full episode and stop acting like a fag !!!

  • this guy is a BAMF

  • @Qdrum803 yeah he is. he was just bitten by a bothrops atrox. he has a video of his reaction to the venom up. he remains extremely calm through the whole thing!

  • @Tarzan07330 nice Where can i find that video?

  • @Qdrum803 go to kyreptilezoo youtube page and it was just uploaded yesterday. they commented on this video below several times. check out their other videos, they're really informative vids and interesting.

  • @Tarzan07330 Thanks a lot man!

  • @Qdrum803 no worries.

  • this guy owns

  • now thats a real man. he doesn't mess with wild animals out of morbid fascination or idiocy. he does it to help people who do

  • HIS MIDDLE FINGER GONE!!!!!????

  • Dangg, that guy has GUTS. I applaud him.

  • Thank you for helping to produce anti venom. Someone has to do it.

  • wow the venom destroyed his bone in his finger that shit is strong.

  • Never ever forget. I met a really great woman. One night after great sex a woman told me she had a surprise for me. i awoke to find a snake looking at me. She told me it was her best pet. I am still surprised that I did not freak out. t carefully threw her ass out and moved 2000 miles away. Let her keep all and every thing that was in my home and sold the house . Never ever did I look back, still she gives me the creeps. I just dont play those games!!!

  • @hiiamrick Are you bullshiting or serious!?!?

  • @hiiamrick

I would of shoved that snake up her ass !!!

  • if yoh handle snakes you could at LEAST wear chainmail gloves or shit O.o

  • @devilledevil98 Read below post on gloves . None work for extracting venom. I have tested every type of material that is supposed to be snake proof none will work as a glove for extraction. I have been extracting for 35 years averaging 1000 extraction a week with only 5 bites while extracting. Gloves give a false sense of safety.

  • @kyreptilezoo omg really?? wear midevil armor suit???

  • @devilledevil98 Yes really.Funny but of no use to us.

  • @kyreptilezoo Wow. 35 years? Nice. Thanks for doing this. But, what about layering gloves? I can't believe there's really NO gloves that work. Not even military grade gloves?

  • @Songwriter4God If you layer the gloves even more dexterity would be lost. The snake-resistant material is made from powdered kevlar- so the material is fairly thick and stiff already. Layering them would make the hands almost unusable. Military grade? I think we are aware of every type of snake-resistant material- we did the testing for several companies here.

  • if he goes into the wrong neighborhood people will think he is throwing up gang signs when he waves.

  • Thumbs up if you jumped at 1:44

  • Great guy

  • @ruben38181 Thanks.

  • lmfao these loser deserve everything they get, the show could be called the darwin awards, if they showed only the idiots that died...or got their genitals shredded.

by the way dude they make fang proof kevlar gloves for that stuff

  • @ComocosonoEWL Does not work. None of the venom labs in the world use them. Also you can not clean them with bleach before handling the next animal without breaking down the glove. I have been doing this for 35 years and average 600 to 1000 extractions a week. No glove would hold up to that many times being cleaned. Also I have been bitten 5 times in that time period while extracting venom. But have saved 1000's of lives with the venom we provided for antivenom .

  • @ComocosonoEWL By the way I am the one that tested the kevlar product for boots and chaps. The company then started selling gloves which we proved did not work for king cobras, large lancehead vipers ,gaboon vipers and many more species. Also kevlar breaks down after being washed and dried to many times in our tests.

  • he is so stuped becuase if got bitten already he should now he's gonna get bitten again

  • @5blue1 How is saving lives stupid(correct spelling). If you do any job you can make mistakes. Without people little Jim there would be no antivenom or research for cancer etc. Yes it is a numbers game but he is willing to take that risk to save others. Stupid is wasting your life watching TV or playing on the internet.

  • @kyreptilezoo I want to thank you for the very dangerous work you do. I am from India and we lose a of people to snakebites a year. Dont listen to the idiots here. I personally dont have the heart to handle such dangerous undertakings but I am sure as hell thankful to those who do! All the best

  • @yajkr Thanks for the nice comment.

  • leather gloves please??

  • @tiemedown Don't work (lancehead vipers , gaboon vipers and king cobras have bitten thru gloves in the past.) and can not be cleaned with bleach without breaking down the gloves.

  • @kyreptilezoo oh, makes sense. seems like something we should be working on...instead of making ipods smaller

  • 1:45 scared the shit outta me. Made me jump.

  • a few more fingers and he will need to find a new career. his azz better be getting paid.....

  • 1:00 is a great incentive to do his job. Very altruistic.

  • wow he lost his fingers and still does that... man wish i could be that strong

  • OMG I"VE BEEN TO THAT ZOO WHEN I WAS LIKE 5!!! =OO

  • I love this show!

  • Poor snakes

  • @summerdowling87 Fuck you, poor guy!

  • @420witchdoctor NO fuck you he choice to do what he does ass

  • @summerdowling87 What the fuck ever, someone's got to do it, and he shouldn't lose fingers for SAVING PEOPLE'S LIVES, DUMBASS!!

  • @420witchdoctor he works with snakes idiot i'm sure he know the risk ass if he was saving lives or not I never said anything about he dummy just the snakes go pick on some mess w/someone eals

  • @summerdowling87 Wow, your English sucks. I couldn't even understand your comment. All I know is that you're trying to disagree with me, which is ridiculous. This is a job that needs to be done by hand, they need the venom to produce anti-venom, and this guy doesn't deserve to lose fingers. End of story, dumbass.

  • @420witchdoctor I'm speaking pure english you have the right to.Belive what ever you want as do I unlike you I can see that like. I said be for go mess with someone elas dummy

  • @summerdowling87 No, I cannot comprehend your dialect of English. Where are you hailing from?

  • Comment removed

  • @420witchdoctor My grammar isn't where I want it to be. I just don't see why he would risk his fingers and livelihood, in helping poeple who want these sanke's as pets. I can see him helping other anmial professionals,

  • @summerdowling87 Most extractions here are for various research uses, not just antivenom. There are researchers at pharmaceutical companies and universities who use venom to study things like cancer, viral diseases, blood disorders, pain management... the list is quite long. Venom from here that goes to antivenom is not just for those who have snakes as pets, it is used on regular people who have the misfortune to get bitten.

  • @kyreptilezoo I see I'm just hoping he wasn't helping pople who own them, on purpose and.As a snake lover myself I can see the attraction just not to the posions ones

  • @summerdowling87 Do both of us a favor stupid and, leave me alone I have the right to say or type what ever. I please and I'm going to

  • If these things can happen to a trained professional who does this almost everyday, it baffles me that average people think things like this won't happen to them.

  • My girlfriend wanted to watch this show, instead, I am watching.

If you play with fire... well you know the rest.

Here is your pass to venom-free entertainment on YouTube (ricktvpass).

  • People sometimes can be stupid having very dangerous animals in thier house like alligators, snakes i

  • @misslisa76ful Dogs are actually MUCH more dangerous alligators and snakes.

  • that guys got some balls to work in a job like that.....snakes dont really bother me but that doesnt mean i go handling them either.......oober kudos to that guy

  • @kakkorot13 its cuz he s been bitten so much, i bet he is kinda not scared anymore. less scared than u and I.

  • @perfecttrunks2000 Less scared but I still respect the danger. And it hurts.

  • snakes

  • man why not create some kind of gloves or smth to protect the hands and arms... loosing a finger or even get poisoned is definetely a rather big deal

  • ridiculous respect to that guy, who knows how many lives he's saved with his antivenom... I don't have the balls to do that, but someone's gotta do it.

  • dude this guy's a hero. He's risking his life to get anti venoms.

  • @antoinefilms unlike that faggot ass donald shultz queer. tryin to be like steve, but instead coming off as a total no talent ass clown, who jsut does pointless dangerous stuff for tv ratings when the real heros like this guy do it professionally

  • wait were those rats already dead?? and why are they so...bloody? i feel bad for the guy tho. what would it be like to be missing parts of your finger?

  • cool

  • awesome!!

  • this guy is badass

  • once i shoved a 2 feet snake up my rectum like it was a double sided dildo!

  • Comment removed

  • @zimcode3 the tip of the middle finger is gone not the whole finger

  • I can see that. but it's still in a sense gone.

  • psh fuck that i would never do that this dudes got alot of guts man @_@

  • I'll do it ...depends how much one would give me...

  • AHAHHAHHA!!

  • He must have crappy health insurance

    Zzzing

    Jk

  • there are other videos of venom extractions from snakes. lots of those venom "milkers" put the snake into a plastic tube as to be sure the snake can't curl around and bite. i thought that is safer than this guy. maybe he couldve saved his fingers had he employed 1 of those tubes.

  • Gotta admire when he lost couple of his fingers and still continues to do that.

  • Bamf

  • hi ^^

  • Fk damn

  • x)))

  • xsxs

  • nasty shit

  • shit!! hope U got health insurance!!

  • 5 Stars for bravery.

  • Thanks I spelled it wrong on purpose

  • @JustAnotherPOV

    video watching+listening fail

    dummass

  • someone needs to make a giant centipede vs snake video, and actually use a big snake, or atleast a snake the same size as the centipede, not no tiny non venomous snakes. thatll be cool

  • waahh!! 0w0

  • x))))

  • qwerty654321

  • metal gloves LOL

  • ya that would be ok ...

  • holy shit i'm squirming in my seat!

  • They should wear metal gloves or some shit.

  • This guy is the man for risking his life evryday for stupid people

  • ok that was disturbing

  • Someone should invent anti-snake bite metal gloves.

  • video tan chimbo y tantas vistas noooo yo e visto peores=that stupid video and 65,877 views nooaaaaa

  • with love from bangladesh :)

  • Pretty fucked up. The man must be paid well for this kind of job.

  • Well that was pretty badass

  • This guy is brave but he should wear some special gloves.

  • Aren't there any good designs of safety gloves for him?

  • hijo de mil..y buee..

  • I don't want his job LOL

  • I feel bad for the little mouse

  • he is good :]

  • Poor mouse

  • They don't wear gloves because they can't get the control on the snake wearing them and to easy for the snakes to get out of their grip. No snakes have poison, only venom.

  • man ill fuck a snake

  • 0.o

  • geez.. try wearing gloves...

  • that man got balls........i mean it....

  • OMG !!!!!

  • poison from snakes.... such a great weapon, silent but deadly (but can it disolve bone tissue? )

  • he do a good job

  • The only thing i never understand is why dont these people wear some kind of protective glove...

Btw Check the channel for "Viperkeeper" he does makes videos feeding snakes a few times a week and it's pretty cool

  • Gloves do not work and cannot be cleaned with bleach inbetween animals.

  • oh snap, this is awesome :S

  • Crazy ass dude..

  • god bless him !!!! poor guy working for a cure to save all of us!

  • venom dissolved the bone? 0.o

  • did the snakes get ass cancer?

  • Well, if you're going to be bitten by a snake, it might as well be at an anti-venom lab.

  • I've had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!

  • holy shit 1:44 @@@@

  • lol its a viper

  • ohh

  • ouch

  • 1:44 =

    EPICNESS!

  • Why can't they make special gloves for this man?

  • I was wondering that too. I think it's because anything thick enough to protect him would be too thick to be useful. I know that the bomb squad guys rarely have hand protection either.

  • @incorporatedfx THANK YOU i was gunna say that like fuckin use some bullet proof stuff
