I have a computer that is 15 years old with windows 2000 on it, and even tho it shows icons for Office, i cannot open office, theres not enough ram to run it. and even at times i can open some features , windows will alert me that there isnt enough memory to run the requested operations!

@Nazmus1992 for me i have used ME before, but anyway i never had a happy memory with windows, and my experience with vista is that vista is the most annoying OS ever. maybe you're right ME is real Shaky. Since i switched to Mac i dint have to troubleshoot anything, except for MSN messenger (which i've switched to adium). used windows as primary computer since 95 til XP. cant beat my 1 year of Mac.

Then I ruined the install whilst experimenting. Only ONCE was there anything that could even vaguely be attributed to Vista, after THREE years - a rootkit virus trashed everything. Yes, it struggles on 1 GB of RAM. Because XP doesn't on 512 MB?

@Dreambro1 XP is a pig with anything less than a GB of RAM. And a 1 gig iPod would hold about 200 songs, not 5000. I have a 60 GB iPod personally and have used well over half of that so far.

Vista has issues, but for anyone getting ANY BSODS or such things, they should start looking at how they're using their PC, and for hardware faults. Because Vista is perfectly stable IF used correctly.

@ScienceOfThePS3 I have Vista Intel Dual CPU T3400, 2.16Ghz, 4 gB RAM, 32-bit, Pentium 4 (ofcourse), Dual core from Sony. It's service pack 1, but still... FULL of bugs, uses much memory (starts with 1,10 gB), when I play a normal game it increases to 1,50 gB memory and it laggs like hell. Believe me, windows XP is the best version of Windows ever had. You can also buy a brand new computer with windows 95/98, it's very fast, but many softwares can't be installed on it. So I choose windows XP! :)

I never have any problems with my os, i use wista premium 32 and 64 and a w7 premium 64 on my pc's... Maybe your problems are caused by cracks and patches? I have NEVER gotten this so-called constant blue screen in my 2 years using Vista. The ONLY time it blue screened is when I unwittingly disconnected the hard drive with the system partition while it was running.

SO, youre not any better off than having windows xp , 2000 or 98. I think itd be better to have Full windows 2000 or XP than Vista with only a third of its offerings in working order!

The only reason I have Vista is because of a lightning strike; fried my XP computer & HD. I was very comfortable with my XP system and knew I would hate Vista - and I do.
