  • In the beginning u say clean our streets? Do you really expect others to help you accomplish that task? It is the responsibility of you and I to help clean up our streets and help pave the future for minorities.

And when you preach about thug life, whom does that help? Don't you see you are falling into the conspiracy of whats keeping us down by playing into these roles! FUCK YOUR STUPID!!!

  • u can always count on a fool like u to prove u're a fool. when i say clean OUR st (OUR is possessive referring to ourselves) n ignore outsiders request to clean the lyrics (mask issues). N as it is our responsibility to clean it, it is NOT their responsibility to bring the drugs in, and businesses to suck funds OUT of our communities dumb 1. N does bringn "thug life" up to examine it constitute "PREACHING" or "glorifying" thug life? does tom brokaw GLORIFY/PREACH or just inform..smarten up fool

  • Damn! Your name matches your statement.

  • America the great Satan is going down.

  • first of all... I would like to say fuck NYPD.Now to the point at hand, wow mastior you realy took the time to type in ha,people like you are the reason this country is so fucked up now, eat a dick punk

  • bell is in Satan's hands as always, HELL is still his home. CRACK DEALER, PIMP,

CHILD MOLESTAR, I praise NY FINEST. TOO bad they only had 50 shots, NY's FINEST got in some GREAT target practice. FUN. Wish I could of seen it. Imagine bell selling CRACK to your 12 year old daughter and turning her into a HOOKER. Yes bell was a mentor. ya rt.

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha

  • get a fucking GED DUMMY IDIOT. Uneducated

LOOSER. Stupid mother fucker... Do you know what a GED is? I bet you wouldn't know where there's a school if it wasn't for you selling CRACK to children.

  • For every racist coward, there's a good natured white man who'd do anything to get a sista. As one of an exponentially growing group of millions of mixed American Americans, I'm proof. The white race is dead in America, that's why the racists are so scared and desperate. I think Hispanics are already the majority now in the US.

  • They say Chinese are the growing population.

See what they did to the economy out there,

the rest of America is next. The own everything. There are some very pretty black girls. Then again blacks prefer white girls,

and no wonder. All the black girls are straightening their hair to look like whites.

Knowing how ugly they look. Oprah for instance

she looks STUPID in that nappy kinky hair

  • stanley crouch is one ugly mutherfucker! somebody give that brother some chapstick

  • No More Fear Black Man The Revolution Has Started!!!

    (Payback is a motherf$%ker)

  • So what do you suggest we do brother? Create a lawless society and allow the strong to rule the weak? Or better yet, allow the gangbangers, who do the work for the KKK, to make the rules for the black community? Dont let a few fucked up cops speak for the majority. RIP Sean Bell.

  • I thought the title of the video, along with the first frame, makes it clear who I am representing. you would know if you fall in that category

  • Your response to this is PRICELESS. Thank you! : )

  • malcom x was a antisemitic black racist fuck, its good that he died ,its a pitty that he didn t suffer. mlk was oke, he did not hate the whites but wanted to cooperate, im sorry he got shot, they should shoot OPHRA

  • you make no sense and you have no grounds to base your argument, Malcom x belived in equality by all means necessary meaning when you hit him he isnt just going to turn the other cheek.. hes going to fight you back and I dont blame him, because in this country you have to fight for what you want.... and why should oprah be shot

  • "by all means necessary" I love this!!! Being fond of both Malcolm X and KRS-One, this phrase has a special resonance with me. Good comment!

  • Malcolm x didnt die, he was Martyrized you dumb motherfucker.

  • The Youtube system (owned by google) is preventing me from writing an honest comment about OBAMA and OPRAH. We need to stop the OBAMA and OPRAH.

  • im not a talker im a doer, i have ALREADY done more for the impoverished than you plan to do in the future. you are the hood monkey in the physical and mental form.

  • Life imitating art or art imitating life. Thats the question that gets bantered around and around. At what point does one make the decision to answer that question and move forward. Oprah did that very thing in her own way. Her show transformed over 20 years into a "positive" production. Maybe rap, hip hop, will follow her example to make for a better place in the "street"

  • get a job and stop thinking you gonna make it being another myspace rapper you looser! you really shouldn't speak because your ignorance may be contagious. i bet you don't anything about black history. news flash, hood monkey, drug dealing menace to humanity!!! biggie and pac ain't black history. read a book you illeterate fool!

  • where should i start with such an ignorant b*tch. first off, of all the words to spell incorrectly, why'd you choose illiterate? lol.. perfect example of a lost soul, pretending to be educated u dumb b*tch. for the record one of us is educated with a job and it's not u. so BEAT IT!

  • as far as me being educated, we can't tell. because you spew the ignorance of the base level uneducated, misguided, generation X that

s sending the culture to hell in a handbasket now. you HAVE NERVE. At least I'm not pissingo on the legacies of those who came before me (Martin, Malcolm, Emmit, Huey Newton...you know what, let me stop because you probably don't even know who that is)! lol...you unread porch monkey.

  • and you have the nerve to call someone a HOOD MONKEY!!.. i just saw the video you have of yourself, you big ugly heffa LOLOL... OMG do not i repeat DO NOT, throw stones when you live in a glass house. go work out and do something for yourself before you worry about the whole race!! theres my advice for you you big monkey!!

  • u call me an "illeterate" fool, a whole bunch of other names and u claim I am drifting from the argument lol. panthers would shoot ppl like me? i think i finally found the internet psycho. come so i can get you in the gym, obviously what you're doing isnt working. your lip is bigger than many new born babies.

  • why don't you read something that doesn't come inside the cover of a cd you ignorant no reading, back water...ghetto dwelling hoodmonkey...you're an embarassment to the race. the panthers would have shot people like you dead. too bad their not still in action. niggas are poor cause they wanna be! not cause they gotta be. intelligent black people made their own way, why can't you ghetto dweller. don't blame society because you're a parasite to society.

  • money grubbing hood monkeys like you and those you support set us back, and while you're referring to intelligent self respecting women as something as low as a dog. well if they're ones they're in good company cause you came from one. so...yo mama! you call intelligent black people who've been in the fight for black humanity disgraces...you and your generational curse are the disgrace! not these intelligent people demanding the bar be raised!

  • my mother was not a dumb b*tch as the spelman hoes proved themselves to be. she would be smart enough to know where to direct her insults. the term b*tch for me represents a behavior that those b*tches displayed and not a gender. you probably weren't swift enough to catch that. further exhibiting your ignorance. all that jibber jabber you wrote was emotional garbage with no direction. I doubt you could be a leader in any capacity, you dumb bird. GO BACK TO YOUR CAGE!!

  • how in the world do you think rappers, hip hop (in its modern form) and the trash they spew in anyway is positive to us or our image. you sit here and call black women standing up for their image as human beings b**ches? and you say they set us back? no, hip hop loyalist,

  • IF i hear someone using a phrase not directed toward me, that also didn't represent me, i would have no reason to be offended. Why are the spelman girls so offended?? why are YOU so enraged. what have the rappers done to you? you sound like the money grubbing whore, whose mad she's not rich. and people who u think are lesseducated than you are. go cry to your female lover, shes the only one who cares about ur thoughts b*tch

  • whether its directed at me. when you use a phrase like that in conjunction w/ black femalehood in any form it creates a negative message to the masses. whether the term applies to me or not, it hits my gender/racial group. so WE take it offensively. it doesn't matter who its directed at. just like it doesn't matter whom in the black culture a white person spews the word "nigga" at, it affects us all because we have a common connection and history in this country...

  • How dare you use Sean Bill's and his families image to support your ignorance of stop snitching.

Rather than support him in rooting out these animals amongst the black community and getting the black community to come together to put these animals down, you'd rather use your Jewish media platform to spread cowardice and fear and embolden these organised murderers and have them roam freely.

Yes, the overlords supports you 100%.

  • you truly are stupid. theres no nice way to put it. sean bells murder is a symbol of the disconnect between police and civilians in many neighborhoods, if ur stupidity cant make that connection. please dont share that sadness with me

  • Youtube: Eye To Eye: Cam'ron (CBS News)

  • The use of these words has weakened us severely. And only strengthen Hip Hop.

People get killed for snitching? It's about time people get killed (especially rappers) for using the N-Word. Only then we can start taking apart others who use it.

  • hey stupid, the use of the word doesnt weaken us. our actions weaken us. if u havent heard the overused phrase actions speak louder than words. the word is only seen in a bad light because it is commonly attached to those living negative lifestyles. it is their lifestyles that drag them down not the word. a word only means what the sender and receiver interpret it to mean. you as an "outsider" need not worry how me and mine communicate stupid.

  • The word has only the effect on our "moral standing" in backing it which weaken us politically and culturally, nothing to do with effecting our actions. We can't be taken seriously anywhere, and why not? Because It's not just me those rappers are talking to it's the white & young masses.

Why don't you tell me now. How do the the "receiver" (mostly white & young) interpret it to mean?

  • As for me being an "outside". Yes, I am the majority I am an individual, the rappers are "the usual" minority, the majority never decided who should lead them the multi-billion $ private media tyrannies decided that undemocratically and marginalized the thoughts of majority individuality by creating "the norms" using rappers to manufacture consent for using these words, which is why you're proud to believe I am an outside and you & rappers are of course "the insider".

  • rappers suck look at the terms they use to describe all women including their own bitches and hos these guys are fuckin losers

  • P.S.S.

    Hoe = garden tool

    Ho = whore

    Spelling 101, my dear.

  • P.S. Move the fuck on already! Jesus! Quit your constant bitching and blaming of the white man. Do something good with your life HYPOCRISY. You fucking idiot.

  • Wow, such moronic nigger rap! I couldn't even listen to it for more than 15 seconds. You suck. By the way, you can't spell. Since you can use the word nigger, I can use it. Got it? Hypocrisy doesn't work. This video screams "I'm a racist!" *rolling my eyes and laughing at you because you have no clue as to how stupid you appear." And you are one dumb nigger, let me tell you. You can't even spell. Get a real job.

  • u mustve been drunk when u commented. they have laptops in the trailor parks now i c. anyway i have a real job, how does a video scream racism when the subjects of the attack were of the same race lol? get help u seem to be hooked on some kind of substance that makes u dumber than ur mom intended u to be. im just happy this video struck a chord so i know its a great one. it struck u and u dont even know why, thats the power of the truth.

  • The only way you can make change is through war or politically. or both. Make a change bro. You sound very articulant so use what allah blessed you with in way that can make a difference.

  • i find it disappointing that someone who claims to have knowledge of self can not connect with my movement... but at this stage in the game, even ur hippocracy can not surprise me. you continue doing what u do and ill enjoy what i do...

  • people like you will shoot your own brothers and sisters and not the crooked police or any oppressor. Wake my young brother. You are really lost. Dont get my wrong im not down wit oprah and her confused self but you are just as bad. Change

  • when speaking so ignorantly be clear on your position at least. ppl like who?? what has lead u to believe i shoot my own ppl? u sound like the lost one and a fool all in one...ur life must be misery

  • beat it... ur a cancer...

  • Keep in touch. You want understand me until you recognize the truth

  • Clean your streets yourselves.

  • so ur the fool of the day i see. the song is directed to my ppl, so it is my intention for us to clean our streets. if ppl have a problem with the music/lyrics, they should clean the streets that contribute to my lyrics. take it easy dummy

  • Dapdon...please don't take this as an insulting question...but what kind of "bull" was Oprah and the Spelman girls talking about on her show that day of the townhall meeting?

  • Oprah took the stance that hiphop influences the culture as opposed to mirroring the existing culture, in the areas of racism and misogyny. She also placed blame on hiphop for making it ok for IMUS to speak the way he did. If we dont see how those two statements were the most ignorant statements ever, I think our whole community needs a facelift, leaders included.

  • Oprah Winfred did call Common "a poet" on her show and she said that yes, there are other rappers that promote positivity in hip hop. So why is everyone hell-bent on tearing the sista down when it comes to hip hop? She can put on her show anyone she feels that should be on her show. It's difficult for any Black person to explain how the words "nigger (or nigger), ho, or bitch is cool to use amid 'some' people , but not by others. Holla @ me.

  • i dont kno why its been difficult to explain but maybe i can help, better yet ill give u an example... if someone has shown a pattern everytime they pickup an axe they chop some1, the next time they pickup an axe ur gonna be on the defense before they chop. so if some ppl for hundreds of yrs called us nigger to mean the lowest of lows, when i hear THEM say it, im gonna be a lil sensitive. common sense!

  • Dapdon... your comments make no sense to me, bruh. I mean, c'mon, if I'm getting chopped with an axe, I don't give a damn what color the hand is that's doing the chopping (Black, Asian, or White) I just don't want the Axe being used any more. It matters not if the person chopping you down is the same complexion as you, right? Matter o' fact, this makes the chopping worse does it not? Self destruction? Hip Hop 101. Does this permeate to you or am I being too deep for you.

  • What you call common sense is actually YOUR OPINION from a very skewed and narrow minded viewpoint. For instance, if I call you a nigger (or nigga) would you like this? Or would you proceed to ask me about my race, location, history, etc. in order to accept or reject the words. If so, then the word is caustic along with the person saying it.

  • more common sense would explain "context clues" elementary teachings of english. im sure ur bright enough to know the diff when two boys from the block use it and when mark fuhrman uses it with his friends. but i shouldnt assume what u know given ur comment

  • oprah can put on her show whoever she wants just as rappers can put on their album whatever they want just as rappers can also criticize oprah for doing whatever she wants whenever they want. and oprah picking common out of the pile of rappers is nothing more than when a white person says i have a black friend, lets get real lol. there is not "positive" rap and "negative" rap. even common will be the 1st to say it like when he was presented his award.

  • I digress. I PROMOTED Hip Hop in the 90's. Then it -- the industry-- turned to CRap! Okay? So, honestly, brotha, you're not dealing with a naive person that 'just got into the game'. MANY Black women who WERE involved in Hip Hop NO LONGER deal with it because of the negativity of what is being promoted my major labels & radio. So please don't try to patronize me by saying "it's no negativity in rap. WTF? Are you NOT listening to Black women who say it is????

  • you make my point! ur case is with the mkting of hiphop ur case isnt against hiphop. all the msgs are necessary. there is no one good form of hiphop. cuz the labels choose to only market one picture and not the other, is not a hiphop problem. actually its the people OUTSIDE of hiphop who control those channels. again COMMON SENSE to me. the rappers control just the art. The images you call "negative" really do exist, why not bring those images to light to be addressed and debated on?

  • No difference. Not even Min. Louis Farrakhan understands your point. Perhaps you should explain it to him or one of the other ministers at the mosque. Or are the Brothers & Sisters in the Nation and the New Black Panther Party too WHITE BREAD for you too? Trying to justify it with them is like trying to justify it with me-- futile, frivolous and mute points right?

  • Rap (radio) is simply not a mirror to All Black people and the sooner you get this the sooner you'll move on to the next level of understanding. Oprah posed a question; how can rappers be justified if they are vehemently angry by Imus when the same message of Black women are being used that you used in your video about the sisters @ Spellman? What message do you send when you call progressive, educated, young Black women bitches? How is THAT to be viewed by the greater society?

  • You sound confused again. ur right i dont care what color is doing the chopping, the example was meant to establish a pattern, chances are if i saw a normal butcher wit the axe he probably isnt planning to chop me, i said if theyve shown a pattern of chopping. blacks have not shown a history of being racist toward blacks, so i would be less apt to think a black person sayin nigga meant it with the same taste as mark fuhrman, that IS common sense

  • Once again, you're showing YOUR ignorance. Black Africans were selling their opposing tribes in Africa, bruh!!! This is spiteful, but it's true. So Blacks HAVE shown disrespect for other Blacks. A Black woman is more apt (like a White woman) to be raped by a man that is of the same race as she is. Now, hopefully, this has enlightened YOU a bit.

  • You seem to be less rational everytime you comment so this has turned from a debate to a waste of time. when you have no point to make you take words and inaccurately define them to a meaning that you can then debate lol. let me start slow with you...

  • disrespect is not a synonym for racism. a black man raping a black woman is not racially motivated lol... u seem to be lacking simple common knowledge making this debate a waste of my time. the gay men on this site, i can only fathom how u kno theyre gay lol but more power to u n them. but its irrelevant to any point here. this is not the forum for that. frank lucas fyi was working for the ENEMY, thats why he was the enemy.

  • I view the use of the axe as the use of the word 'nigga'. So your own analogy is nonsensical for real. Every Black person doesn't think like you do. Every White person doesn't think alike either. So all this rhetoric is B.S., brotha. For real. You sound like you understand the world and really you don't. Look at Darfur where Black people are being SLAUGHTERED by the Jonjuweed. Explain Blacks doin' this to other Blacks? YOU CAN'T 'CAUSE YOUR ARGUMENT IS MUTE.

  • when i call those spelman girls hoes it is not with a "paintbrush" rather their actions and ignorant comments tell me theyre not too educated. theyre doing just what the "enemy" wants us to do. they are the result of the enemy trying to divide n conquer. as a ppl, our downfall is we have those who think theyre better than the rest versus caring to uplift the rest. to blame hiphop and not embrace hiphop does none of us any good. especially without knowledge of what youre blaming hiphop for

  • You can be the enemy of Black people. Just because you don't think so, you may well be; look at Frank Lucas pumpin' in all that heroine into Harlem & Sugar Hill in the 60's & 70's... he was the enemy of the Black people no matter how intelligent & hard working he was. You pumpin' in ideas that you're good when you're evil is NOT good for Black people!

  • but thanks for taking time out to debate this subject whether or not you agree with my perspective. all i can do practice positivity and express the views in my lyrics. I leave one final thought. Listen to the message, not the language, i think we are letting the language distract us from the message

  • LOL! You're not talkin' to a child, brotha. Let's not let the message (whatever it may be) be contorted by calling my progressive, Black sistas names. I've seen 2 gay men bloggin' on this site trying to put Black women down & Convince y'all to try out some of them. I think of this every time I hear brothas puttin' down the sistas. They're POISON & Evil & needs to be DESTROYED!!!

  • What you said was so stupid on the most elementary levels so I wont even respond. thanks for your great point though (definite sarcasm) ...

  • Thank you for rolling up all black people into that category. Once again we have the blind trying to lead the blind.

    How ignorant.

  • You really think the goverment is responsible for the position your in? The goverment provided the crack and military rifles? I feel sorry for you. We have fixed the conditions. Blacks simply wont use the tools we have provided. Blacks dont value education and therefore will always remain at the bottom. What you really want is the goverment to hand you a big fat check.

  • Well put hitler, but i can speak for myself and say i earn mine.

  • Clean up your own streets. Stop waiting for white people to do it for you. Everytime the goverment has cleaned up your housing and or streets you tear it up within months. Be responsible for you selfs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are definitely narrowminded if you call providing military rifles and crack/cocaine to the urban communities assistance. we dont want that type of govt help. and what conditions are the ppl in housing living under? thats where the assistance is needed. not just building newer and cleaner jails, that defeats the purpose. go read a book

  • simply cleanin up our housin does nothing, i didnt mean literally clean up our streets, i meant fix the conditions that have us in the streets the way we are. clean the streets by getting us out of street livin. and that is done by fixin the causes that got us in the gutter in the first place.

  • yo cuzzo. that shit was wak. where is the originality? be your own man dont be like someone else to try to succeed. they already did that u do u

  • i appreciate the fact you lookin for originality but you sound like a dumbass since this was done the day after the oprah show in direct response to the bull they was talkin on the show. but stay up clown

  • evry artist regardless of genre needs 2know wot they're tlkin about b4 they start spweing da same stuff as evry1 else: the tru definition of wrds &their origin/topics that they speak on/wot possible impact their music may have on any 1individual. It's time 2strt finkin &takin responsibility 4wot u do. U can't really blame hip hop coz it's dwn 2da individuals. God bless & all da rest

  • yo dapdon this video is hot, ignore the haters. lets get on top of the rap game and make these changes. the hood is wit u fam

  • If im not mistaken you did say i've been poisoned. I hardly think being poisoned is a good thing. But after reading your comment, it's ok because there was no substance, so the poisoning and bamboozling stands out in whatever it is you wanted to say

  • I titled the video for the exact reason that I thought the girls "actions" and "words" warranted the utmost disrespect from me. I didn't call them hoes simply because they were females. I decided to use the word they were combatting just to state my displeasure with their lack of logic and intellect they displayed on the panel... but I do agree with some of what you are saying.

  • you definitely sound like one of those dumb hoes, you didn't make one point please educate YOURself

  • u sound illiterate shut ur dumbass up

  • I see there are some heads with brains after all. The comments at first had me worried that all of us was dumb or somethin' but I see some real talk in here now

  • The topic is changin. My orginal comments were arguing about the message rap gives out as a whole. If "we" are the way we are 4rm what happened in our streets, what enviornment are we creating 2day for the youth. I like Nas, Saigon (sum at least), old JayZ, Mos Def, etc, those who rap on da real, not cuz they're "tryin 2 get their hustle on". Alot of the other songs are just "club bangas" and not supposed 2 be taken 2 heart. Music has "power".

  • lmao the "bitch" in throw some D's is refering to a car...not a female...smh

  • if these females weren't acting like bitches and hoes, there would be no need to put them in songs. if i'm struggling and the females laugh at me and call me broke, they're some bitches, but when i come up and they're all on my dick, then they're some hoes. so when females stop acting like hoes and bitches, we'll stop calling y'all hoes and bitches. females are just as guilty as the niggaz, keep it real, and fuck oprah and them lying ass spellman hoes.

  • You know they lying talking bout they all been called hoes. YEAH RIGHT. My homies been in and out the joint, we lived in the ruffest hoods and I don't ever remember (outside of personal convo) calling women hoes unless they portrayed the role. 9 out of 10 they was looking to get knocked off. The worst they could have got is a guys trys to talk to one of em and she ain't tryna hear it so he says "Well fuck you than bitch". That ain't approval its just the hood.

  • I done seen countless homies slapped out, beat down (by some females brother), and clowned for calling females hoes. This doesn't happen like their saying it happens. I'm come from an all female family and hoes they call each other bitch every 10 seconds. So like I said earlier this ain't about hoes and bitches, it's about whites not giving blacks the last word for Imus getting fired. You see who's show there using to promote this garbage theory of Rap Based Sexism. PLEASE!!!

  • I thought I clarified that I did not mean to offend the spelman brand as a whole, if i didnt, i would like to reemphasize that now. I also didn't think I was attacking, toward you at least.

  • As far as the kids singing along to throw some Ds, i'll restate a point you seem to be missing. The kids know the language from the streets, not the music. If any change is to take place, it should happen at the root of the problem. Lets work to clean the perception in the streets and the language in the streets.

  • The reason i wanted to make it clear that it was not a sexist phrase (throw some Ds on that b****), because oprah is blaming hiphop for imus' racism (very silly of oprah) and sexism. The lyrics of that phrase represent neither.

  • You might have a case for those being bad lyrics, but not sexist or racist. Once you get into that topic however, I might even side with you. Everyone within the hiphop community, especially northeast, have all agreed todays hiphop is not filled with good content. But in NO WAY is any part of HIPHOP to blame for the problems in society!..

  • The debate is not on quality hiphop, this convo is about sexism and racism. If you would like to open another forum to discuss those issues. I'll be the first to cosign your objection to the content of most of the lyrics. My only hesitation there is... lets not question the language, lets question the message. If someone is making a powerful message with some strong words, lets look at the big picture. So the word b**** by itself doesnt equate to "bad" lyrics.

  • "Hip-Hop" the art has no blame. It's our society. And that includes the artist (4 working/sellin out 2 the corps), the audience (4 buying 4rm corps), corporations (4 corrupting/exploiting the music), and our parents (4 not taking the time 2 understand/raise their kids... they put work/$ first).

  • How can we blame the artist? that makes no sense either. the art includes all different types of music. in fact the music you like some may say those are "sold out" forms of the art. And your actual taste is contradictory to your message. You like the dope slinging jayz but not the new "grown up" jayz who raps maturely over "30s the new 20"? It sounds like you just want to argue points but you not livin your perspective you're portrayin on here

  • I never listed any reasons to why I didn't like the "new" JayZ in my earlier comments. The ONLY reason I didn't like his new album too much (which was actually good) is becuz apart 4rm his voice, it didn't sound like Jay (production wise). I was hyped up expecting that "NY sound". He sounded really "Chi-town", not NY.

  • I'm not talkin about "sellin out" the art. I'm saying they sell out their people. I'm talkin about them driving back 2 the hood w/ the 24s and tellin kids 2 "get their hustle on", but not helping fix the schools and commuinty, etc.

  • Love the vid. Sean Bell (The reason we dont talk to police), Spellman/Oprah(Setting Hip-Hop Back 25 years)Imus(WOW). Alot of people might not get it, I got you. Where not even talking about sexism in America. Where talking about Imus, and how black people aren't going to get the last word in him being fired. Otherwise they couldv'e had this show 2,4,6,8,10 years ago. ONE LOVE

  • Exactly fam, i feel your thinking.

  • I'm gonna scatter my thoughts a bit.

The title was meant to get to some ppl, although, I was only directing it to the girls on the panel. but a classic example of what i call a misunderstanding by the critics of the music is this:

  • you stated "throw some Ds on that Ho"... first of all the word was bitch (im gonna assume u knew that) The word Bitch was not used to describe a female. So you have personally taken that word to mean female. The song throw some Ds on that bitch is simply referring to putting 20 inch rims on the car. MY POINT EXACTLY!! where is the sexism????? or misogyny and all the other great inaccuracies we are accusing these artists of?

  • It seems like this dialogue is truly a waste of time, because alot of the comments are truly made without any logic or common sense in them.

  • You mentioned all these videos degrading women... i would agree with that had women in the hiphop community really not been engaging in those activities depicted in the video.

  • Its simply painting a picture of the neighborhoods if the pictures are very accurate. If you say you're in B-K, i would think you know this.

  • I can definitely get you in the vicinity of where activities similar to that portrayed in the videos can be found. Just let me know.

  • Otherwise, I'll not respond to anymore comments because it seems like "you people" (as Imus put it, and that can be blamed on hiphop as well lol) just want to bash hiphop, sometimes ppl cant explain why they're anti something.

  • This is a classic case. I guess this is what makes hiphop great... truly an artform that the majority can not understand. Chosen few do! I'll leave off with this... Only when you see the light can you shine it on others! If you still feel a need to hate on something thats fine. Either way thanks to all of you for watching the video. Hit me on myspace if you wish. Peace

  • My main point is this. Rap originally was a reflection of the struggles we go thru, but today... its FAR from that. In the past 5-7 yrs, (when rap hit the suburbs) rap has changed 4rm reflecting the streets, to creating a false image of the streets and even creating ALOT of the problems in the streets. ALOT (not all) of rappers need 2 stop "selling out" their race 4 the "quick dollar" and actually give back.

  • The time has come for you to pull up your pants. And become a man for your children. How long are you going to call yourself the n word. You will be made accountable.

  • you are definitely the problem, I have done more for our children than you will even think of. So you must be aiming that statement toward yourself. I love being accountable for all my actions. Here's some advice, dont comment just for the hell of it. Gather something, no matter how deficient you may be, and put something sensible together to say. Thanks for viewing the video though.

  • The time has come for us not to support buy, listen, watch anything with the n word in it. It is time to prepare ourselfs, and destroy anything that seeks to pull us down.

  • Starting with cancerous individuals like yourself!! It's your divisive state of mind, that is pulling us down

  • You are the problem. You need to be made accountable.

  • your don't the main idea of what the spelman girls are fighting a bout.. u called them bitches which is degrading, so your just contradicting yourself and really putting blacks back in time by not allowing us to speak our minds.

  • I am not contradictory at all, I purposely used the word bitch, not because they are females (which would be sexist), but their tone in the interview tells me they really are bitches. Finger-pointing, not willing to listen, attacking without the use of logic, those are traits of bitches. So they can look at their own behavior for answers to why I would call them bitches. But thanks for your comment

  • i watched the show 2 and the rappers were the "bitches"-the girls simply pointed out the negativity b/c no 1 else would've, they're were really trying 2 solve the problem and find out all the facts. In reality, the rappers are the ones finger pointing b/c they can't take responsibility upon themselves that they're wrong. During the whole show, the Spelman girls spent 80% of the time listening, so they DID listen. The rappers however didn't really listen and tried 2 justify their wrong-doings.

  • . The Spelman girls listened 2 the whole story and then gave info of what is really happening 2 black women, being that they are. Also, they and the board of civil right members were the only ones using the real "logic". Going back in2 historical accounts of black women, and researching the history of rap, really proved that they've been using the correct logic. Finally, the rappers didn't use logic b/c they based their "facts" on their own logic.

  • Any sensible person knows "listening" does not mean sitting silently. The girls did not internalize the basic premise to understand what the ppl on the panel were talking about. ALSO.. FYI, there was only one rapper on the panel, that was Common. I don't know which show you watched.

  • Furthermore, there is no fingerpointing from the artists, The whole rap case is simply. RAP IS A REFLECTION OF THE STREETS, THE STREETS DO NOT FOLLOW RAP LYRICS. THAT WHOLE IDEA IS BACKWARDS...what part of that is fingerpointing??? what part of that is wrong????

  • How can you speak to the streets without using the language the streets understand. If you dont agree with the language then the message must not be for you. Change the station. Hiphop has not negatively impacted anyone's life. If you dont like it simply look for entertainment elsewhere....SIMPLE!!

  • You have many options, you can go watch RAMBO SHOOT up everything in site or governor swarzzennegger (however u spell it) terminate everything in sight, I guess the visual acts of violence being glorified is less destructive than the art of detailing real facts. We might as well get Tom Brokaw off the news too, since he talks about crime all the time.

  • The fact still remains, "bitches" "hos" "n****" are not associated with sexism or racism in the community, that is obvious, its ironic that the artists, many of whom lack formal education, can understand the concept of context clues to understand the meaning of the words, and so-called scholars seem to struggle with that.

  • The issue is you hiphop critics, don't listen to the music, so you randomly hear 3 words and think the art is bad. The artists are giving you a picture of what the "hood" is, if you dont like it. Then lets do something to fix the hood, or the lyrics wont go anywhere. So sad that so many of our own ppl are stuck on stupid. HIPHOP IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE

  • they just don't take responsibility of their actions.. they should admit that they've called women bitches and hoes.. and admit that it's wrong.. they need 2 grow up

  • i said common.. but the show was about all rappers.. fyi

  • You didn't hear all the rappers u just heard common, so how can the rappers who do use the language in question get to defend themselves, if they were not on the show since we are questioning their language???? Oprah does not allow rappers on her show, its her choice, as its a rappers choice to say F*** OPRAH

  • AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU WANT THEM TO "ADMIT"??? I HAVENT HEARD A RAPPER SAY HE HASN'T USE THE WORD lolol... let's make at least some sense here!!... I THINK YOU WANT AN APOLOGY NOT AN ADMITTANCE... AND I dont see why a rapper should apologize for using any language!!... We should be in the schools and in the neighborhoods getting the language cleaned... those are the kids who grow up to be rappers, how do you tell them to change the language that's been prevalent for their whole childhood?

  • also... the whole sexism point you critics make is senseless... when a rapper or anyone uses the term bitch or ho, its not because its a woman theyre talkin about, its because the woman they are referring to have questionable behavior. I've never heard a rapper say "MY mother is a nice bitch (ho)" so there obviously is a distinction between who they call women and bitches/hoes.. again common sense!!!

  • Nah, people aren't as careful with the use of those words as you're trying to make it out to be. Let's keep it real.

  • Tell them to embrace themeselves and not how they dress. Protest diamonds, the diamond industry (not just blood diamonds) are stealing from Africans (blk people), but we load up on jewelry. Be proud of your 01 Honda and screw the oil/gas guzzling Bently.

  • and the way we dress is to address a point that the way we dress does not define us, the point is we can dress anyway we want, its an exercise of one of the simplest freedoms. Rappers do fight for a cause, they might be different from the cause you're fighting for but it's still worth fighting for.

  • As for the donations to katrina. Can you really get into how much is a good amount? now we're ultra critical for the sake of it. We don't know these guys budgets, the white people who gave millions, i'm sure they had it to give.

  • Lets not forget rappers aren't "rich", the labels that own everything they show you in the videos are the rich people. Interscope records, should be giving more, not the rappers. The rapper who makes .99 cent off a record. how much you think he has after selling 800 thousand records and pays for his house and car(s).

  • The people who are rich off the communities dollars that buy the CD are the people who are not getting the .99 cents but more like the 9$. They should be giving a little more, and they do not rap. They are white men in suits. Attacking them and attacking the rappers is two different things

  • if ur making over six-figures... UR RICH! We know that artists aren't making the most and that the "white"/non-blk execs are, but. A peice of a "billion-dollar" pie is still a lot. Lets not 4get the concert/ads/appearance/movie/cothing money.

  • They can cancel their shopping sprees for charity. JayZ bought Beyonce a Bugatti 4 her b-day ($1 mill car).

  • While, I personally think Oprah is a bit "anti-blk/african" you CANNOT defend a lot of "rap" music(not hip-hop). You are promoting your "hood life" Today rappers are about "making that paper" & "hustling". How much $ did rappers raise during Katrina? You guys actually promote prejudice.

  • Many Many rappers raised money after Katrina, Actually I find it troubling that that was not publicized, you got people like master P, lil wayne, B.G, who actually were on the front line and I haven't read one article even mentioning that. and so many more that I did not mention.

  • As far as promoting a "hood-life", they have moved on to leave the hoodlife, so I do not see the "promotion", the message that is often misunderstood by critics, is; "I did that exact thing you're doing and now I'm successful, you can do it too" How can a 14 year old kid be inspired to do something, if the person with the message does not come from their environment????

  • That is the reason rappers are more connected to the youth. Kids will understand 50 cent, better than they will understand OPRAH, shes so removed from where we come from. So in order for a 50 cent to connect he has to detail his "hood-life". I do not find that to be "promoting" hoodlife. It sounds like he's saying "I've been shot 9 times, expelled from hs, grew up with no parents, if he can become a millionaire CEO of a record label, and sell record-breaking numbers, ANYONE can!!!!

  • Thats promoting a good-life. And I do respect your opinion unlike anjjohnson up there since your approach was a bit different. So thanks for the comment

  • I respect your point, BUT (yeah.... I know) I know the whole "Cash Money" and "No Limit" gang did (that's where they're 4rm). They're not ur "top" rappers, I remember seing that JayZ & Puff raised 1 mil (2gether). That was sad, especially since white actors were giving mils on their own.

  • If u wanna give kids something to look up to, leave the "hoes" and "bitches" out of the vids. Show that u came 4rm the ghetto w/o a degree and can still act dignified. Teach them that $ is just $ and it doesn't define u.

  • Yeah rappers may be connected 2 the youth, but I didn't know kids were of good judgement. They're still growing, don't teach em how to curse and dance like a stripper. Building a sports program is not helping our community. That's limiting blks to sports & entertainment.

  • Hiphop reflects the streets the streets dont reflect hiphop, bitches and hoes are not words created in hiphop they were created in the streets, so to discontinue the use of the word, we need to start in the streets.

  • The reasons videos have the "hoes" in the vids is because that is the nightscene in their communities. I still recall the first time I went to st louis where Nelly is from, im in the elevator with strippers in what was supposed to be a classy hotel, so different regions have their own problems and its reflected in the music coming out of that region.

  • The evidence that hiphop is influenced by the streets is visible... west coast music contains alot of gangbangin to mirror their culture, midwest alot of "card swipin in the buttocks" their whole strip culture... and on and on.

  • I agree that these issues are serious and warrant addressing, my whole point is, lets address the problem, not the people who bring the problem to light. Start in the streets, start at the root of the problem. Why are our women behaving like hoes and bitches? why is it ok for the rapper to swipe the card down her butt? is it because she is making money so it is ok?

  • why are our kids droppin out of school? what circumstances allowed someone like 50 cent to have no parents? solutions to these problems, by default will make the rap content cleaner, because lifestyles will be cleaner.

  • The music is a direct reflection of the streets, cutting out the "bad" words is simply putting a bandaid on the issues. The kids in the streets will still be using the words, and going thru the same problems. We should be listening to rap to find out what issues we need to address.

  • I can see your point and I respect that view; it makes a lot of sense given from "whence they came"; the whole rags to riches scenario. But as of late, it becomes more and more difficult to differentiate the telling of their story and the glorification of it.

  • After hip-hop icons are able to recognize their success, and are able to obtain better (much better) modes of living, the connection that they make with our youth should be one that incurs positivity with regard to the way the youth view themselves, others, and their social environment.

  • The difference between someone like Nelly and Bill Gates -aside from the marked income difference- is how they are PERCEIVED to spend their money.

  • When we hear of someone like Bill Gates we at first are cognisant of his philanthropic endeavors, but when we see someone like Nelly, we tend to immediately associate him with his music videos of lavish cars with decked out sound systems, having various women participate in a number of explicit acts, all while throwing money around.

  • You make a very good point, I must agree with what you are saying, and as an artist, I think we do need to help make the point clearer for the youth. The struggle is that not all of us are articulate to make the point, but I'm not convinced that the youths don't get the point anyway. They may not act like it sometimes, but thats because the existence of all the ills of society is still in their day2day presence. its a work in progress

  • check my video out .... " Spillman vs Hoochie Ho "

  • and i find it hard to believe that any of those people speaking that way would allow someone to speak that way to or around their mother a or any other woman they care about in their life....so they should not put that mess out for young kids.

  • None of it shold be on the radio. I agree. It's not suitable for children.

  • It's obvious you've been bamboozled, but if i condemn you I would be doing the same thing them ignorant spelman hoes are doing. It's not fault you speak with such ignorance, our oppressors would rather divide us and conquer us anyway. Let me know when you are willing to open your mind. You sound like one of them hood birds without a brain but we can fix that

  • question does a business have to clear up their bad financial situation before they are respectful towards their customers....i dont think so.....you dont need to clean up the streets just to stop saying bitch and ho....
