I thought sonic R was ok on PC at the time, it's old but i don't remember it being bad. The only newest sonic game i haven't liked is Heroes.

Sonic Adventure 2 was great, it had plenty of stages.. definitely better than SA1, in my opinion they should make an SA3 with the controls and everything the same as SA2 but improve it all and have more fast action stages rather than shooting ones.

SA2 was better than SA1 in my opinion. SA1 was awesome, but it just felt like a beta for SA2, and it had Big the Cat. I agree with it being Number 3, but SA2 should have been Number 1.

I don't see what was so bad about Sonic Fighter, Sonic R & Sonic 3D Blast. I can understand how 3D Blast has bad controls but other than that it was pretty good, Fighters was pretty good too, and I loved Sonic R as a kid. Sonic Labyrinth should be #1 for the worst Sonic game ever

I liked Sonic R, apparently a lot more than these guys did. Including the music. The controls take getting used to, and it's too short/needed more racers. Granted, that's what I'd felt about Sonic The Fighters as well. Its an "easy" fighting game, big shock. Now can you beat people with "just one button"?

Granted, I tend to enjoy the opposite Sonic games of the mainstream.

I have to disagree with placing Sonic 3D Blast on the worst list. To be fair I havent played a sonic game since the days of my sega genesis, however I remember when I was real young how awesome I thought that game was. It is the only 3D Sonic game I've played and every now and then when I'm feeling a little nostalgic, I'll play it. The camera does take some getting used to, but you get used to it. Dont get me wrong, I dont think its the best retro Sonic game, but its definetly not that bad eithr

I would have to say that the music in Sonic R wasn't bad. It was just something I wouldn't expect to hear in a Sonic game. When you think Sonic, you'd think fast paced, high tempo music that puts you in the mood for moving fast. This soundtrack doesn't do that.

@gamefreak561 What you say makes no sense at all, not only that but sonic 06 was in progress 3 years in advance of it's release. most other sonic titles get a year at best. sonic 2006 had plenty of time, but a lack of care by comparison of the earlier and later better games. It should at the very least have been heavily reduced in price or made free to play. This is coming from a massive and very passionate sonic enthusiast.

I'm not a Sonic fan, but I disagree with the 5 worst games. I mean, where's Dr. Robotnick's Mean Bean Machine? That's barely a Sonic game to begin with. It's a cheap Tetris rip off with a Sonic character thrown on. 3D blast is one of my favorite games on the Mega Collection and Mega Collection Plus. Sure, I haven't played it on it's original console, and maybe they updated the controls, but still. As for 06, the glitches and plotholes didn't bother me at all. I had fun with that game. In fact,

@Ryanmiller70 it a lot to this day on the Gems Collection with my girlfriend. Sure, the glitches made the game extremely easy, and Super Sonic was cheap, but that's why you don't race with him. Who cares if you come in second against him? Playing with friends is where it shines, and Sonic R did a great job.

Sonic R isn't the worst game. Sonic Labyrinth is. At least Sonic R had speed, even if not so good to control, it still was about Sonics signature. Sonic Labyrinth is the same as if you take away the jumping ability from Mario or the shooting ability from any fps. It's just wrong.

I find Sonic R to be very enjoyable. Yeah the music is out of place, but the music on it's own is very good. The soundtrack has a place on my iPod.

It's not a great game, but it is a boredom killer for me and I, love playing it around the Holidays, along with Sonic Jam and Nights
