My weapons are much stronger than these, I have a Full Auto that does 1000x4 damage, extreme fire rate, and to top it off, it has a fire element, it makes most of my enemies explode.

@SicilianGunner why ddint you just exit the game rather than kill yourself lol? also you can do this ■There is a way to get off the cliff without paying the New-U fee. Face the chest and go all the way to the left side of the cliff. Stay right up against the wall of the cliffs above you. SLOWLY walk off the cliff and you will teleport back to the New-U machine but without a fee. (taking off borderlands wiki)

Wow. Because of this video. I found the most badass assault rifle yet. It is a lvl 28 rifle and i was 27 when i found it. Now that i can use it along with my heavy gunner mod this thing is beast.

Assuming you're playing multiplayer, another option is to have your partner stay back at the teleport post and port to elsewhere, which pulls you along for the ride. There are also 2 red chests right near that one. One is directly under the killy tower of doom. You won't be killed getting it either. The other is under a tent you can see easily from the tower. Don't bother killing the spiderants that spawn, unless you want a good long fight, they seem to be pretty much infinite in that area.

@OaWaScHlKaKtUs the chests where ment to be more hidden like this one, but the idea was scrapped, but being gearbox they kept this one box hidden well, hence the name "the dev's chest", also people talk about it due to it being a hidden chest and it has powerful guns on your 1st playthrough...

I found that the bast way to level up after both play throughs is to go back to the Aridian Promontory, I went from level 59-65 in about 15 minutes. You get at least 9000-28000xp depending on what type of Guardian you take out.

this works bettter on playthrough 2. The first time i tried on playthrough 1 and I got 2 shitty guns. but would have been good back then. 77 combat rifle, fully auto and sniper. 2nd time I got a helfire machine gun level 43 112 dmg w/ fire x4 we dont need no water the real deal and a class worth 1,000,000 dollars. Yerr better 2nd playthrough. just to test it I tried again and lets just say I like my tsunami smg

I've made about 200,000 and I've only done it like 10 times. I replaced 5 of my items for stuff I found, including an eridian gun that was in there. I've found 2 legendaries, oh and the boxes with the shields and mods give you about 80k.

@natur96 Not to sounds jerkish but, if you have the ClapTrap Robolution DLC the chest at the end of the quest (Over 15 i know) keep respawning in the gift shop complete with each vendor machine.

in my experience.. i havnt got an orange let alone a decent purple from any of these "developers chests"..

the best orange drop rate for me are the chests in the crimson fastness; the two at the end and the lower chest in the room claptrap open.. ive also got a few orange pistols from the lockers in that room :o
