  • NO WILKINS!!

  • MJ is the best...but where is is Koby? He follows

  • that countdown fuckin sucked

  • PEOPLE. It's in alphabetical order. Also, it is AS OF 1996!

  • Comment removed

  • now i know this isnt in order cuz if it is u fucked up bruh

  • Michael Jordan is the carbon copy of Dr J, best player is The master Bill Rusell

  • @ralphyralph5 You probably think Ibaka is a copy bcause he made a dunk from the free throw line. MJ and Dr. J were different players if you watched them.

  • @Kunzler3 I never comment on videos... My acct was phished; changing password now. Great players, each in their time.

  • @Kunzler3 Hey, I never comment on any videos, my acct must've been phished; changing passwords now. Each player was great in their time.

  • wttttffffffff Kareem Abdul Jabar is #50 he should be #7 !!!!

  • @donviktor2000 Maybe you have downs because its in Alphabetical order..

  • WHOA LEBRON OR SHAQ AINT ON THERE>? THAT IS NOT RIGHT. KOBE BRYANT TOO

  • @00hollister74 Shaq is on here and this was made in 96-97

  • @00hollister74 I think you have downs.. The NBA made this list in 1996! And Shaq was in the video..

  • reggie miller should be on this list same with lebrone james and kobe bryant

  • @TheScotter22 I think you have downs..Lebron* and Kobe didnt play before 1996. CUZ THATS WHEN THE LIST WAS MADE!

  • @Kunzler3 I know, I was joking.. OBVIOUSLY.

  • Most of those black n white guys gunna get there asses knocked off by this gerenations players. Kobe, Tim Duncan, LBJ, D-Wade, Dirk, KG, Melo, etc..

  • wheres kobe?

  • where is kobe bryant?!

  • um if brian scalabrine is not number 1 this video = FAIL, haha jk mj gets it

  • kobe?

  • The list was aranged by the first letter of the player's last name

  • If MJ isn't #1 this list is WRONG

  • 1:38 duh

  • ITS Pete Maravich no Maverich.

  • pippen is good but seriously???????? better than jordan, bird, wilt, magic?????

  • JORDAN, JORDAN, JORDAN, ANY REAL BALLHEAD KNOWS THIS.

  • these are in alphebetical order of last names btw so if it was in order of best to worst then jordan would be number 1

  • where is dwight howard?

  • @seekingtheholy1 this was made 1996

  • there hasent been a realy good dominant center since kareem ambduul jabaar and before ppl coment dont say dwight howard tim duncan has been the most dominant center in the past 12 years.

  • @onemindfully what about ewing dumb ass

  • @onemindfully

Patrick Ewing? Hakeem Olajuwon? Shaquille O'Neal?? No matter what your feelings about shaq are, he re-defined the role of a center. he turned it into what most people think of it as today, a big tall dude that dunks, and doesn't need to shoot. I agree with Tim Duncan tho, coz he brought the old-school back. but you're being unfair to Dwight, of course he isn't the best in the last 12 years, he's only been a pro for 6.

  • anyone know if @tyman921 took a look at the nba workout system for dunking and shooting? Even players like Lebron James had made use of this program. If you have no idea what's I'm talking about, take a look at | 50 inch vertical [dot] com |

50 Best Basketball Players of All Time (Official List)

  • ROFL at some of the comments..Don't get upset. The list is old and it was made up in 1996 and the players listed are in alphabetical order.

THIS IS WHO MADE IT UP

50 Greatest Players in NBA History, selected by a blue-ribbon panel of media, former players and coaches, current and former general managers and team executives. NBA Commissioner David Stern announced the 50 Greatest Players at a press luncheon on Oct. 29, 1996, in New York City.

    LOL

  • no Dennis Rodman!

  • u mean in NBA????

  • wheres the glove?

  • top 10 nba players of all time 1.MJ 2.Magic Johnson 3.Larry Bird 4.Kareem-Abdul Jabar 5.Bill Russel 6.Oscar Robertson 7.Bob Cousy 8.Scottie Pippen 9.Kobe Bryant 10.Lebron James 8.
  • @tjgho u forgot jerry west. and tim duncan should be over lebron, possibily even over kobe. and maybe shaq

  • What? No Sean Rooks? No Elden Cambell? No Gregg Ostertag? No Shawn bradley? Eric Dampier? Sabonis? This list sucks.

  • @TommyTonic10 Those people weren't even that great. They were just decent.

  • @TommyTonic10 Your funny, man. Greg Ostertag! Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Shawn Bradley!?!? Sabonis is a different story, He was really great. Elden Campbell?! Jeez!

  • pete maravich is a beast in his time he is way way better than kobe and lebron

  • Does anyone read the description? lol stupid :D

  • MJ #1

  • Mine wud b

    1. Magic or Kareem (cant decide)

    2. Larry Bird

    3. Mj

  • @StarofWebkinz LOL WADE?

  • @dawnoflife3 yes wade

  • @StarofWebkinz wade shoudbt be ijn the top 100 LOL lebrons in the top 100 but not top 50

  • okey alphabetical... but were truly know that mj is the number one!!

  • lebron james

  • @ICESMMS

    its alphabetic order you moron.

  • @ICESMMS dumb ass he said alphabetical order, finish school bitch

  • You only have 49 players listed you are missing Billy Cunningham. Where is Ralph Samson? This is a great list of players but Barkely and Ewing come on. Stockton had Malone so they complement each other but no rings. Ewing was overrated and Barkely was always a bridesmaid never a bride. The only players they should add would be Kobe, Duncan, Pierce, Garnett, Allen, Kidd and Nash. Maybe LeBron, regardless if he wins a title or not he does have a good game just no hardware to compliment it, yet.

  • @bigindalbc stupid he said 1997 can't you read. Those players weren't playing then duh

  • there is absoulutle nooo way shaq is better than jordan this guy got his list wayyy fuckkedd up

  • @domisme5 the list was in alphabetical order

  • i dont think this is in order cuzzz if it is thiss person if fcked

  • The NBA needs to change it to the 6o greatest players to this list & include Domoniqe Wilkins, Allen Iverson,Kobe Bryant,Gary Payton,Jason Kidd,Kevin Garnett,Tim Duncan,Bernard King,Reggie Miller & Lebron when he has played for 10 years

  • First this list is in alphabetical order, from the last names. Second, this was in 96-97, so don't cry about Kobe or LeBron not being in the list!

  • kobe can't make his teammate shine, hes a pure scorer thats all

  • @SunMan6A6 could not be anymore wrong, have you watchd the nba the last several years?

  • @joking84 yes i have,kobe is a ball hog,he rather have stats over V's

  • @SunMan6A6 are you kidding? The lakers just one back to back Finals! All Kobe wants to do is win championships. Do you watch him and Pau, he shares the ball so much and even if he dosn't record the assist he always is creating plays. Watch more Laker games.

  • @SunMan6A6 some people who make these sort of comments, have no idea. I do not support the Lakers or in fact like kobe but to say that is almost childish, like he plays in the schoolyard lol

  • Glad to see K. Malone & J. Stockton on the list.

  • -BULLSH*T-WHERE THE HELL ARE KOBE & LEBRON

(BY THE WAY MICHEAL-J ALWAYS GOES FIRST)

  • @LittleKid43 lol man try to pay a little attention to the video, the list was made in 96-97, kobe was a rookie and lebron was like 10 years old.

  • @ onihc

    you said it very well

these kids today never knew how great any of these players were

  • wats the song name?????????

  • thats some bull crap cuz both kobe and lebron are supposed to be there

  • its way to hard to even compare players of different eras because the play style is different....these were players who were totally dominant in their time as pros all did great things

  • Micheal Jordan shoud be #1. MJ IS THE BEST!

  • @MrPwnallunoobs its in alphabetical order...

  • these were the retired players

  • @MrPwnallunoobs this list is in alphabetical order

  • @MrPwnallunoobs Fuck you

  • @MrPwnallunoobs theyre not puttin in best order its abc order

  • @MrPwnallunoobs Kareem with out a doubt. Do you remember because of him BB created the no dunk rule in college I know thats not the nba but to have a rule handed down just to stop a player. On the upside it made the sky hook unstoppable.

  • @MrPwnallunoobs It's a -z not who's #1. anyway Jordan isn't the best ever no mater how u dice it. Great yes. If you were to start a team with all those men in their prime who would you pick # 1 ? Me; Kareem, you'd take Jordan and then I'd take Magic, then ? You see Centers are the Key and will always be.

  • @MrPwnallunoobs its not in order...

    its in alphabetical order

  • @MrPwnallunoobs Kareem Abdul Jabbar is twice the basketball player Micheal Jordan will ever be

  • @MrPwnallunoobs MJ likes it up the ass bro

  • @freddy75527 So do you faggot

  • @Kunzler3 How do you know fanboy?

  • @MrPwnallunoobs He should be if thelist was in order by greatness but its NOT! its Alphabetical order dumbass

  • @MrPwnallunoobs nope, Wilt Chamberlain FTW

  • christie ur a retard , mchale is on nba tv every night and he is amazed at what guys do today, dont talk anymore , just get a life, get away from the computer,

  • lol i think its funny that ur gettin madd over a comment u should really think about getting a life because ur wasting ur time tryna fight with poeple over the internet clown.

  • are you guys all freakin kidding me, learn youre NBA history better, these players would kick today's players ass so easily it isnt even funny, youre telling me kobe is better than Parish and Mchale, Learn youre NBA history you idiots,tyman921 made a pretty accurate list

  • where is Kevin Garnett, tim duncan, steve nash, jason kidd, kobe, lebron james, and u could of put cp3 in there over some1 els

  • this list was made in 1997

  • @streetz107 this list was made for the nba 50th aniversary in 1997...

  • ok im sorry and im not disiing the old players

  • hello??? Kevin Garnett, d-wade,tim duncan, dirk, steve nash,

  • @jkeo369 red the description before comment this list was made before any those players became nba stars

  • i would put lebron and kobe over kevin mchale, robert parish, jerry lucas, dave debusschere, scottie pippen, bill sharman, rick barry any day...lets be honest!

  • KoBE - lEbrON

  • great vid....what song is this?

  • Where ws Kurt Rambis and George Muhreshan???

  • where is sabonis

  • what about KOBE???

  • @trojanfan09 kobe in not on that list because he just entered that year and his 1st years was not good but he is the best that is still playing lebron sucks

  • Connie Hawkins should be on this list.

  • these old ass players no doubt they are some of the best but where kobe and lebron

  • @TWINSBURG123 Really? Lebron is one of the 50 greatest to ever play the game after 4 years in the league? What are you basing that on, his vertical? Cause he hasn't actually accomplished anything yet. 0 titles, 1 finals loss, doesn't exactly scream 50 greatest. This is a pretty good list, although it's an absolute crime that Rodman isn't on it. Top 5 defensive/rebounders ever. I would also put Duncan and Garnett on the list somewhere too, just inside the top 50, but still should be on the list.

  • First off this will be his 8th season(LeBron). His career averages are only matched by two players in history. Michael and Oscar. Sports Illustrated, ESPN, and SLAM Mag all have him in their top 50 all-time and he's only gotten higher since then. I agree that the list is good and you make good points but LeBron is in the top 50.

  • Really u think its his 8th season in the league He is 24 right now,so u are saying he started NBA at 16? SLAM & ESPN r gonna put him in the top 50, but they have to hype the stuff going on right now, its their job. The fact is the only thing Lebron has achieved so far is being 1 of the best physical athletes 2ever play the game he hasn't won anything & he isnt a good shooter. He probably will b 1 of the greatest after its all said & done but not yet, its premature 2put him there already

  • He's actually 25 and it's his 7th year(I had a typo). His career averages put him there automatically in almost all historians minds. Rings? A lot of the guys on this list have none and they don't have 10 years left to play. Shooter? Not a pure shooter but he has worked himself into a "good shooter." Career highs in 3pt and overall fg %. I mean really? Not even #50 on the list? lol I respect your opinion though and understand where your coming from. I just think he's top 50 no doubt.

  • This is Lebrons 7th season. Just look up when he was drafted. There are alot of players on the list who never won a ring and whos stats are not as good as Lebrons. Would you really take James Worthy, Robert Parrish, Clyde Drexler, or Dolph Schayes over Lebron? Because they're all on the list.

  • Wtf??? are people fucking retarded now putting lebron in as one of the greatest he should even be Rung up when u mention greatest players atleast until hes in nba for decade

  • Are all you guys fucking retarded? Read the fucking caption 50 greatest as of 96-97. Fuck kobe and lebron. Read the shit first unless you enjoy looking like a dumbass.

  • @vato55515 he already set alot of records thats why they put him in it and hes a dominating player

usually getting 30 points a game

and taking the cavs to the finals by himself

  • @bjapan96 i know he has but there is a difference bewteen greatest player of all time and a great player for now sooo you cant match him up with the greatest of all time and if you do that means you have only watched like 8 years of basketball in your life becuase in all time their has been at least 50 more people better then him i never ment that he was bad hes good but he is not one of the greatest of all time based on how many greats have been introduced into the nba for the past 50+ years

  • @vato55515 jesus christ

who gave you the right to list the top 50? lebron is unstoppable look at him today and how much he dominates

sure he hasnt had a title yet (which he will get this year) but still having a title doesnt mean you have to be the best

  • @bjapan96 who gave you the right to use jesus christ in a bad way get the fuck out of here shut up and mavs won i mean god damn i never said lebron was terrible i just said he needs to atleast be in the league for a decade so fuck off

  • @bjapan96 what happened to the championship which he will get this year ill give u a while to think of an excuse to why............... or i can help you Dirk is better n also u must be retarded to think hes top 50 all time note all time come on man think a bit and how much he dominates? D rose MVP get at me

  • bird is one of the top 5 players of all time, dennis johnson and danny ainge belong on this list, they were a major part of those celtics finals teams, they should probably have a list of the top 50 play-off players of all time

  • elgin baylor needs 2 b higher in th list

  • larry bird was one of the best shooters the nba has ever seen..

  • larry bird was just an overhyped white guy

  • Dominique is SO UNDERRATED. He was a shooting forward, at 6''8', he won the most slam dunk competitions ever. He was an effective rebounder, and amazing at ball theivery.

  • Very underrated scorer as well. People remember him for his highlight dunks but he was a very complete player in his prime.

  • Read the description....this list was as of 1996-97

  • yugoslawien???? and Shawn Kemp The Rainmann

  • Dražen Petrović

  • wow peoplehe said he ddnt make it he got it from ythe draft in 1996-1997 if you can see and read

  • HMMMMMMM lebron kobe HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • read the description jackass

  • Seriously you put in Shaq but not Kobe????

  • Read the fucking Information

  • So many Celtics on that list.

  • greatest lead guards

Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, Walt Frazier, Isiah Thomas & Dennis Johnson.

    greatest off guards

Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Jerry West, Clyde Drexler and Dwayne Wade.

    greatest small 4wards

Larry Bird, Lebron James, Julius Erving, Scottie Pippen & Rick Barry.

    greatest big 4wards

Kevin McHale, Charles Barkley, TIm Duncan, Kevin Garnett & Karl Malone.

    greatest centers

Kareem, Wilt, Shaquille, Russell & Hakeem.

  • who can't have a point guard list without john stockton on it. Moron

  • i'm sorry izallskillfool ... all the lead guards on my list r NBA champions, who cares about compiled statistics? oh i'm sorry, u of course. every point guard on my list would & could eat john stockton & spit him out. gary payton was more complete than stockton 2, oh yeah & he's a winner 2.

  • wow, just wow, there is absolutely no logic in that. who did those people have to go against? hmmm not Michael Jordan, dumb ass. You know as well as everyone else that john stockton was the best point guard to ever play the game.

  • let's see, magic johnson played against mj from 1985-1991, isiah played against mike from 1985-1993 & dj played against mj from 1985-1990 & ur calling me a dumb ass? little boy, ur not on my level, go find some novice who doesn't know nething about basketball like urself son ... here endeth the lesson elroy.

  • well it seems my other comment has not come through, but i don't understand why as it was clean. Anyway, you really can't call john stockton a loser, the jazz made the playoffs 20 years in a row, losers don't do that. He may not have a gotten a championship, but that is soley because of michael jordan and his cast. who if i recall right won 4 of the last 6 championships in those years, how many of your guys played in that era?? the jazz also won over 60 games the year of the push off.

  • i think ur missing the gist of my argument, i am a john stockton fan, n fact, i swear by him when these idiots actually believe that steve nash is better than him, i just retorted 2 ur calling me a dumbass, i never stated that john was a "loser" n ne of my post ... just that he never won a title, the truth is i blame karl malone 4 the majority of the jazz's playoff failures, no superstar n nba history has blown it on the biggest of stages more than "the failman", trust me, i have a laundry list

  • Well the gist of your post sounded like you were calling john stockton a loser, and that just didn't sit well with me...

  • Where is Bob McAdoo???

  • bobo nmn nitong bballah na to.JORDAN is an SF.not an SG.bobo mo men!!!!!!!

  • Jordan was a SG. I think you should check basketball websites :)

  • top 5 pg = john stockton, chris paul, isiah thomas, magic johnson, jason kidd.

top 5 sg = michael jordan, kobe bryant, jerry west, clyde drexler, allen iverson

top 5 sf = larry bird, oscar robertson, scottie pippin, lebron james, charles barkley,

top 5 pf = bill russel, kevin garnett, tim dunkin, moses malone, karl malone.

top 5 c - shaquille oneal, hakeem olayjuwon, kareem abdul jabbar, wilt chamberlain, david robinson. anybody agree?

  • I agree but not with allen iverson at the two guard. He is far from that kinda respect. How about Dwayne Wade or Elgin Baylor?

  • bballah24-You have Bill Russell listed as a pf? He played center his whole 13 year career with the Celtics not pf..

  • just from the picture with out saying much MJ gives u Goosebumps!

  • michal jordan should be first and ALLEN IVERSON should be second

  • jerry west is best ever

  • looks like a giant is guarding bill sharman

  • u dont even watch b-ball to say day

  • michael jordan is the greatest ever!

  • is that in order?

  • Kobe better than Oscar ?

  • no oscar better

  • no kobe?

  • no kobe? wow dawg another faggot kobe hater stupid white nerds thinkin dey know basketball STICK TO UR GOLF AND GAYSEBALL AND FOOTBALL DAWG WOW KOBE IS GOAT

  • kobe was a rookie when the list came out!!!!!!!!

  • kobe bryant is not even close to the greatest basketball player of all-time. he's not even the best shooting guard. he is however the best player who committed adultery on a minor and is a felon. and this guy didnt bake this list, the NBA announced a 50th anniversary team, featuring the top 50 players up until 96'-9'7'

  • Don't let your hate blind you. Kobe is definitely in the top 50, if not the top ten or fifteen. I'd say no doubt in the top fifteen.

  • i wasn't arguing that he WASN'T in the top 50, I'm just saying that it boarders on stupidity when you put him over Jordan, Russell, Bird, or Oscar

  • No argument from me with Jordan and Russell. But I think outside of stats, Kobe has already accomplished more than Oscar ever did. And if he wins a few more championships or MVP awards(one championship, maybe two mvp's), there'll be a good argument of him being as good as Larry.

  • I've been reading all your comments and have to kinda agree with you. Its hard to say in the sense that Jordan and the Bulls dominated the east for so long therefore good players in the east were not recongnised for accomplishing anything other than making it to the semi or quarter finals - in which case they would lose to a better team.

The argument gets sloppy when people say Jordan could not have dominated the league Championship wise without Pippen even tho Jordan made Pippen great...

  • I think they should do a top 100 and put to rest the whole shoulda coulda woulda - but none the less its good to see true fans commenting on a video for once - and with valid proof too.

  • koby is the best y is he not in this

  • read the description

  • ddgdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfddfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfdfd u

  • steve nash should be up there

  • I like the players who are all-around performers (meaning offense & defense) , 'Nique & McAdoo were swinging gates defensively. Yes, X punked him n the '92 playoffs (X punked a lot of guys though, including Charles Oakley when he played 4 the Bulls & X played 4 Seattle), the migraine & he pouted n '94 ... so what? I'm glad he wanted the play ran 4 him n the clutch, I thought it was bad 2 quit on ur teammates & coach by sitting out of the last play because it wasn't called 4 u ... a bad choice.

  • ... 2000: Pippen .425% fg, 15.1 pts, 9.0 reb, 3.7 ast, 2.57 stl & .857 blk. Kobe .439% fg, 20.4 pts, 4.9 reb, 5.9 ast, 1.57 stl & 2.14 blk. Not bad 4 an old beat-down partner Mike. I'm a big fan of Scottie's all-around game Mike, he was so important 2 what the Bulls did during their run. In '91 when Magic is wearing-out MJ, Phil puts Scottie on him who does a great job on him, n '92 when Drexler starts taking MJ n the post, Phil puts Scottie on him to slow him down, I'm a big fan Mike.

  • Kobe's beat-down partner n 1999 & 2000? Let's run the numbers my friend: In '99 we all know that Pip was playing n a system he didn't like (isolations, not the free-flowing triangle he was accustomed 2) , a teammate he didn't like (Charles Barkley) & again, he was a little up n age playing against the up-& coming star from the '99 Playoffs, Pip: .329% fg (yuck!) , 18.3 pts, 11.8 reb, 5.5 ast & 1.8 stl. Kobe: .409% fg (yuck!), 18.3 pts, 7.3 reb, 5.8 ast, 2.0 stl & 2.0 blks. Now the 7-gamer n ...

  • Sorry 2 disappoint u Mike, u know ur my homie, but do u realize that 1999 was Scottie's 11th SEASON?!! By 1999 the guy had played n almost 180 playoff games ... he was a war-torn 11 year veteran by that time! Look at these #'s from the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals: MJ- .400% fgs, 32.2 pts, 6.2 reb, 7 ast & 2.5 stl. 32.2 ppg on .40% shooting?, now look at Scottie's #'s: .510% fgs, 22.5 pts, 6.7 reb, 4 ast & 1.8 stl, Pips all-around game saved the Bulls n this physical series! He became a ...
