  • if you can drive in egypt you can drive anywhere in the world :D

  • My favourite part was the handdrawn license plate in the beginning.

  • Lol they don't know what a lane or stoplight is

  • wheres the "hell" part?

  • see indian driving, this is baby video compared to that lol

  • Crap

  • gay driving

  • F R E E S T Y L E D R I V I N G

  • "the most crazy"??????????? Look at your own video again.....!!!!!!!!!

Normal town-driving without painted lanes and there is system in the driving too.

Its possible the traffic is bad in Cairo but NOT on this video.

  • Egypt has one of the highest death toll rate for car accidents in the world.

    The reason why is clear.

  • @buioso We actually discussed that this summer (while in Cairo). Considering it's 80 000 000 citizens in Egypt, a death toll of 50 000/year isn't that much!?

  • shit man, ever been to Lisbon ? Here is still nice and easy.

  • HAHAHAH!! This is great!

  • My husband just so happens to be Egyptian[[= I asked him the same thing one day, why have lines painted on the roads if they don't use them? He said they have them there to look nice for people that come to visit! lol Funny but pretty true!! Pretty cool seeing cars, camels, donkeys and bicycles riding side by side!(((= A must visit place

  • It's just like in Paris. Search for ''Traffic routier à l'Arc de Triomphe'' to see the mad French in action.

  • >>> Egyptian Protest - Carrefour robbed Look at this! <<<

!SHARE & THUMPS UP PLEASE ! FREE EGYPT! FREE EGYPT! (R)evolution is now!!

    /watch?v=NLfgnfb4_M4

  • What for is that stupid music?

  • See what is in Sofia, Bulgaria.

It's in EU, but... it's just the same, in Cairo is even better!!!

    I'm not surprised!

  • I learned to drive in Cairo, no rules is good lol.

  • For Egypt: That is normal. I like that lawlessness; they have their own idiosycracies on how to drive. My question is why is still stop signs, lights and lanes if they don't use them?

The reason people think this is madness is because, Egypt tore the entire rule book (For most countries) on driving and re-wrote their own; still with the infrastructure for the rules in most other countries. I like it. However, although I am used to the other countries driving, this scares the hell out of me.

  • @ScireSpire Ever played Mario Kart? that's how we roll.

Also: Nothing hellish about this video, insufficient 90 degree turns.

  • Where is the hell driving, man?

This is like taking a wake or trip amusing yourself.

There are a hell lot of better drivers in Cairo

    For your knowledge

They asked Goarge Lazenby once (Ex-James Bond) about the best drivers on earth, he replied: Egyptians of course.

  • this looks like the jeddah city in saudi arabia?!!!!

  • all old european cars are in Cairo ???

  • هيا دي سواقة الجحيم

تعالي اركب جمبي وانت تشوف الجحييم :D

ربنا يسترها بقي علينا وعلي كل المتهورين في السواقة

  • Lame video with bad music and retarded Title

  • This is normal in Cairo

  • I did not see in this video anything abnormal to call it hell driving ib Cairo. This driver did not stop one time through the whole shooting .which means the traffics were still smooth and no jams. In reality now in 2010 driving is a lot worse than 2006 when this video was shoot.

  • You should have allowed the sounds of horns play

  • The horns are missing on thist great realistic vid !

  • I love the occasional road surface markings here and there.

  • I dont understand why you worry .. thats the normal in Egypt .. this driver is professional enough to drive a plane not just a car, lol

they just got used to it like this, its not dangerous for them .. its just dangerous for a dude like u :D

even though I am egyptian but I never tried to drive there, but just coz I didnt used to drive without lane .. but if u have to .. it takes couple months and you will be one of them

  • nice sunday drive with some good music :D i think traffic where u can do whatever u want is more safe cuz u know others can do whatever they want also.......egypt maybe is not the best example but italy has similar traffic and look theyr death rates...low

  • Carzy driving, at 4:28 on the right hand-side, what is that person doing on the highway, does any bus stop at speedway to pickup people?

  • Who needs driving rules anyway?

  • Im 15 and i drove in cairo and didnt had an accident

  • so much for MELT!!! Minimum eye lead time! OMG!!!!

  • ha ha that was in 2006..what about 2010 ? come and see

  • I love this Drive :D

  • itsn ot bad, just lawless. as soon as there's semblance of law, they'l lbe fine.

  • you call them cars !!!!!!!! hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh they should be put in the museum backward country

  • I live in Cairo. The question must be: Why does this normally well chilled laid back populace - who spend most of their spare time sitting around watching life go by, become raving death wish speed freaks as soon as they sit behind a wheel??? So they can get to the next coffee shop three minutes earlier??? It does not make sense.

  • fantantiko

  • shit

  • If they would paint lanes on to that, would people drive on them our just don't give a fuck?

  • @TheJoshsam no fuck giving in Egypt my friend...if you're a no fuck giver...come to EGYPT, you'll fit in just like that...trust me

  • I wonder if there are many accidents, since there are no lanes. I guess a happy Egyptian is one whose car can fill the empty spaces on a road.

  • cario has cars?????

  • @tailsfan2345 Cairo has your mama

  • only egyptian divels can drive in cairo

coz we r have a dead heart

  • i think if you're going to tag it as something that crazy, it's imperative that you play some headbangin metal while the video plays, because this music is killin it's reputability.

  • that's not all that bad. it looks pretty tame to me. try sao paulo or manila. everyone seems very respectful on this flyover.

  • Cara o trafico de Sampa eh horrivel mais a maioria respeitam as leis.

Aqui no Cairo nao tem o minimo respeito pra ninguem. Eu moro aqui a 15 anos

  • sorry, i suppose i'd have to drive in cairo myself before i compare cairo to sampa.

  • heheh acho q vc nao vai gostar de dirigir aqui no Cairo.

Vai ser interessante no comco depois vai perder a graca e ser mega estressante

  • So what - this is just normal Egyptian traffic!

  • "Absolute madness. I did it and I'm lucky to be alive." - Yeah, usually 95% of the trafficants ends up dead within one hour of driving in Cairo.

  • What the fuck are you saying.

    It's a big lie.

I live here in Cairo for over 20 years now and in fact it's chaotic but everyone gets to its destination eventually

  • There's this thing called "sarcasm"

  • I noticed that there are no lines in the lanes that separate traffic. Why is that?

    Nice drive though!!

  • Some lanes and traffic police wouldn't do any harm here.

  • The musics are nice, but the HONKS are missing !!! ;-)) I was here again a few days ago, absolute chaos !!! Your video was taken on an "good day" in cairo ! ;-))

  • You are not going through the crowds if you go to Egypt to see the effects and then graduated in order to harness there is no need to go to Egypt

  • cairo is truly a nightmare. hot, humid, poor, chaotic. people there are greedy, cheating and smelly.

  • fuck u

  • That was insane ! I have pictures of trafic in Cario , going both ways on a one way street LOL

  • ye same

  • i see that normal?!!!!!!!!!

  • Dude that driver was considerably good compared to others in Egypt. I usually stitch through that bridge (6th of October bridge) in less than 10 minutes.

  • i like this kind of driving, more freedom

  • this is gay driving ! ppl here in egy are just more skillfull and they don't appreciate life that much !

  • and whats so hell on it ? driving there is about how good you have your reflexies w about toleration

  • yea maybe they are crazy in driving but its almost everywhere ..in middle east ...but one thing: they dont have so many accidents as anywhere else in europe ..em im talking abt eastern europe ...

  • I studied in egypt for 4 years. Believe me, they r so crazy. They drive cars as if it is the end of the world.

  • hhhhhhhhhhh

  • @DianaRobinzon what university did you go to?

  • @DianaRobinzon I like driving this way, keeps me on my toes, been doin it for 5 years now and you kinda get used to the anarchy.

  • haha never forgot my first taxi ride in egypt best fun ever

  • Wow nice maneuvers ....

  • انا شايف الطريق شغال يعني مش فاهم .. هي الفكرة ان مفيش خطوط الناس تلتزم بيها ..

  • believe me, i live in cairo and this is no crazy driving.

you must see the road during rush hours and teenagers are racing and exceeding the speed limit from 60 Km/hr to 120km/hr.

This is what i call "DRIVING IN EGYPT"

  • noob driving?! o.O

  • where the hell is the hell in that ?!!??

  • Try driving in Florida, I promise you, you won't have a car left.

  • lol

  • You have to realize, that driving in Egypt is like dancing. Everybody is in a rythem, u look at each other and then it works.

A friend og mine (german) said, that he, after some time, had no problem driving in Cairo, because the majority knows how to drive.

  • in cairo its normal my guardian (my parents are still alive but ya) in egypt drives pretty fast but idc

  • This position is, if anything, it shows your stupidity that you walk on the bridge stuck each other what you want Do you want to be made of silk or of gold You are amazing

  • Clearly English is not your first language! Your translations are funny! Keep them coming! I am your biggest fan! Love your work!

  • For Cairo this isn't bad at all.

  • omg whats wrong with u guys at least they can drive in that situation cuz i bet many of u wouldnt be able to LOL my bf is egyptian, sexy, smart an engineer and hes amaziiing!! and drives way better than n e of u and yes he drives better than 99% of these crazy frenchmen and canadians and americans too

  • Don't see where is the hell here... I find this driving quite correct... I will try to film some of the Argentinean Driving, that0s really insane, unfortunately.

  • jesus

  • The road surface seems to be very good, but a few lanes would be good too

  • Yes, always in country's like that. It's the roads don't have to withstand frost.

  • NO LANES?

  • Done Cairo day and night with the cheap taxi's, I never have seen an accident. I never have seen verbal agression or the middlefingerthing. In a certain way it works, its simply to crowded with 20 million ppl.

Cairo is dirty (pollution), but its cheap and impressive for a few days. Then take a buss or rent a car with driver for a fee to Dahab to relax.

  • lol, You should visit El Salvador, it's beyond hell (the roads), trust me. This is peace driving plus the road is heaven, lol.

  • To clarify "...El Salvador, it's beyond hell (the roads AND driving)..." ;^)

  • OH MY GOD

its nice u put some calming music for this

  • damn son, do anybody even stick in they lane?

  • i've been in Cairo for the last week and I can assure you the driving is crazy especially the taxi drivers in their death traps. Makes Manila look a quiet Sunday drive!

  • ya matbatak ya kobery 6 october ya fad7naaaaaaaaa

  • Come to my city and i'll show you what a real crazy taxi drive is.

  • lol i know this is extremely slow compared 2 the driver in yemen this is slow driving over there

  • there are lanes, but pale or astonished, and even if there is sharp white lanes, no Egyptian care about it he may drive over the line itself and take 2 lanes alone, hahaha

  • U call this madness and hell driving !? ^^

  • seta october ya 3nayaaaa hahaha i miss egyptttt i was there for university - best 5 years of my life! wohooooo!

  • the road doesn't have line!??

  • driving in thirld world countries in general is a total disaster, honking is a way to greet people, nobody respects anything, traffic lights are just for decoration, people, cars and animals walk in the same highway, there is almost no sidewalks, your life in in danger at all times, you have to be a proffesional car drifter to drive and you have to have nerves made from titanium, rush hours look like a total blackout. if u are a tourist DO NOT DRIVE take a cab, that was an advice.

  • jajaja Men, you really hate that city!

  • @jm15uss who doesn't

  • haha yea i've been in egypt 5-times, theres police every where, and the cars drive so fucking fast, like when you sidding in a taxi they drive abouut 100 m/H

  • thats nomal driving in cairo, and i can tell you that in asia or,south europe or russia ,they drive much more "crazy". they racing and have sharp eye on around, but some may drink too, thats madness..

they use mirrors and don't do something suddenly. but of course, there are idiots everywhere...so trust eyes, too not only street lights.

  • And that is the resion why you don't hire a car in Cairo

  • these people make atlanta drivers look good.

  • wow those people are terrible at changing lanes

  • What's a lane?

  • its like a space where the cars drive, in between white lines. So if theres 2 cars driving beside each other they are taking up 2 lanes.

  • Oh, I thought you had to follow the white line, "between" right, got it now.

  • In the video it doesnt looks crazy. No motorbikes between the traffic flow like in Jakarta. -Naples, Athens are even worse in the Europe than this. Almaost all 3rd world country drives this way.

  • You know that Egypt belongs in Africa not Europe, don't you? ;-)

  • Yes and somebody can study who to read. never mentioned that cairo is in Europe.

  • You said: "Athens are even worse in the Europe than this." It already saids it! To me it looks like that you think that Cairo is not the craziest place of Europe, but Athens, get me? Sorry for any misunderstanding!

  • nigga are u gay ass jew or what Egypr and greece are not 3rd world countries u gay jew dick sucker

  • not that bad..the music doesnt fit somehow

  • want to hate Egypt?

    go to Cairo

it's the most polluted, crowded city in Egypt

I'm not saying that i hate Cairo

I went there 3 times and i liked it

but I's not a place to stay for more than 2 days

but it's hell compared to places like "sharm el-sheikh", Hurghada, or even Port-Said

  • Hurghada was made for tourists. It has nothing to do with the real world. If you really want to know Egypt I recommend walking in Cairo at night. It was lovely. That si the real arabic way of life.

  • Driving amoung cars??

I saw a guy doing it in Alexandria

    it's not that dangerous

  • Try 100 MPH (160K) on the 405 in West Los Angeles at 9AM about 10 feet (3 meters) from the car in front and some guy behind you trying to pass!

  • I LOVE CAIRO

  • Are the peoples distracted from ther driving since it looks like there is one billboard per building? But that can't happen because the peoples can not see the billboards well cause it's hot and smoggy in Cario!

    P.S. I live in Maine

  • Yeah, the landscape is really distracting. But drivers have to focus on the road. While this video shows a few hell driving tricks, I think showing Downtown Cairo during 3 o'Clock would have been more hellish.

P.S. I live in Maine too, decided to change my landscape by moving over there.

  • Peaceful road, what is there to be scared of? :)

Come to Moscow and try a really crazy ride here :))

  • it's horrible :s

  • I miss Egypt so so much:(

  • ur most welcomed again!!

  • i was waiting for a terrible traffic, a hot day, pic hour, etressed ppl,too much noise, car accidents, animals in the way... but it was a full of peace road. is that a hellish road in cairo??????

  • Ha Ha HA! So true...was there for a few months in early 90s. I can remember clutching the door handle as if I were going to leap out of that late 70s model Peugeot...might've been thrown is more like it! Saw no wrecks...very crafty driving. Loved how they'd flash their lights constantly and honk at every thing in sight! Beautiful city, suburb of Maadi is my favorite. Have great memories...hope to go back someday soon. Very welcoming people with rich history and culture.

  • i have been there. they driving like carzy.

  • I don't see what is so hellish about driving in Cairo, seems like a big Metropolis alright, try driving on highways in American cities. You want a hellish drive... try driving in rush hour from Palm beach to Miami in, you will learn what hellish realy is.

  • Driving in rush hour during Egypt is worse than any city in America. This clip isn't really a good reference for "hellish driving" in Egypt. If you go there, you'll see how bad people will get after waiting in traffic for 6 hours to commute from the inner city to Nasr City. Somehow 6 lanes turn into 12 while the driver is swerving in an out going 70 miles per hour. Most countries are harsher to drive in than the US, that is because they lack a structure of laws and way more people in one area.

  • lsn dude..dis is late afternoon and luckily seems an extraordinary calm day...i ensure u drivin in cairo is much harder but we r used 2 it....da city is so populus with limited transportation infrastructure..actually wat u c is roads for 3 or 4 lanes but during rush hour which is nearly all a day, it turs 2 b 12. imagine driving between 2 vehicles ur just 2 inches away frm them...

  • looool da keda el kobri fadi

  • hahaha :)- yep - that is the way it looks in Cairo - I had the priviledge to drive around in taxis for one week and it was crazy. The taxi driver drove like mad - we were in the back - two girls - screaming as we actually left the ground for a few seconds after a bump in the road. But I loved it! Can't wait to return, Cairo is just wonderful! Sending kisses to Egypt

  • we 2 inturn, look forward 4 dat return...wat u said is simply a complete view of da matter.btw u r frm where?

  • OHHH!! Setra bus at 4:05 to 4:15 :)

  • try running across one with ur ten yr old sis and ur 2 yr old brother ( i carried him ) lol , crazy stuff but hey thats cairo! XD

  • i am Egyptian and i can say with a great confident that we are the best drivers in the world.

Really driving in Egypt is so difficult and it takes time to get to it, no rules, and it depends on your skills all the time

  • are there speed limits in Cairo?

  • actually u dont need speed limits inside the city at all?

able 2 drive at 40s and 50s proves u r lucky dat time n w'd reach aas expected

  • TIP: never take a taxi in egypt trust me imagine living there yeah 2 years ago i got HIT by a taxi!!

  • it is very difficult to cross those streets as a pedestrian. it took me once 20 min to cross a street. i have nice memories of Egypt

  • yhh i suppose thats a nice memory haha

all my nice memories r in egypt :)

  • Nice vid but you're overstating it a bit. I've taken loads of taxi rides in and around Cairo, the drivers know what they are doing. I've never feared for my life in a Cairo taxi! The odd bump doesn't bother them. Only time I had cause to worry slightly was when the driver, while undertaking a horse and cart scuffing the curb as he did so, calmly leaned over to chat to me and my pal on the back seat. But he was a good driver. He could do all that without crashing. I couldn't.

  • Driving there is crazy... no such things as lanes or traffic lights or even one ways

  • lol yea its like u gotta turn around in a one way street opps lets just reverse for like 5 km or even pop a u-turn somewhere...

  • lol yeah i was in cab which just reversed when they missed the street... the cars were going pretty fast behind us too... that was super crazy i was just screaming and the guy was laughing. Not cool :(

  • I drove there for two years, never had a problem. But once, when on the Cairo Alexandria highway I was about to hit a dead donkey.

  • hahahah

maybe i should send you my tape.

  • Looks like Milano, Italy

  • i neva slept for nights when i was there especially in giza.

  • Lanes? We don't need no steenking lanes!

  • i think that hell flying from thailand to frankfurt am 25 was like this driving..... ;)

  • May be you are right, that flight was a little shaky...

But I didn't notice too much, I was dreaming, for me that flight was sooo sweet ;-)

  • BORING

  • This actually looks very calm and nice for Egypt..whats the problem?

  • yea... words cannot describe the traffic situation in Cairo. You have to see it to believe it.
