North Korea loses electric power every night not only because of American sanctions, but because they move all their electric power to their south border to stop any spied or attacks coming from South Korea or US troops. Its the most lighted line in the world,an entire border under strong lights.

I think reunification is possible but the Korean economy will be a mess for decades while the South basically has to build and modernise the North. I just keep wondering why the starving people don't rise up and overthrow the government.

If I was starving that's what I would do, I mean what else can they do to you? You either overthrow the government or starve to death.

There will be no reunification as long as thugs like Kim Jong Ill and his elitist cronnies run the show. America backed Japan, South Korea, and West Germany and to this day they are powerhouses. China backs North Korea and look how it turned out.

i laugh at how these people consider themselves atheists when they worship their leader as a god. i also laugh at how religious supporters happen to rant about the theory of evolution through the use of propaganda very similar to communism's approach end result is there are no absolutes everything we say is something we created and everything surrounding us with or without a god has been created, in either case we do not know.i side with logical reason which is not an organisation nor a belief.

Done two tours over in Korea and the DMZ. Saw some of this crap on the other side (N. Korea).

North Korea is like George Orwell book "1984". Big Brother is Kim, Jon Il. Read the book and you will have a understanding what North Korea is like.
