I see them before Negurã Bunget appeared and they blow them miles away + my girlfriend who love Alcest was really sad about them because the can not reach their sound from the studio alb .... she also say Negurã Bunget was far better. Could be the fault of the Live-mixer but a good band have their own and it cant be no eargasm without that.

@Vanadium Well I am romanian and you just can't imagine how proud it makes me to hear good things about Negura Bunget.But I heard Alcest the first time in Romania at a special event called Dark Bombastic Evening with Agalloch heading.And they were a hit.It was amazing.That's how I remember Alcest live.You can find videos from this event here on youtube.

@WhaleRider86 I never really considered Alcest as black metal. The guitar style is very ''black metal-esque'' at times, but this is soft rock music. Beautiful :) I prefer post-black metal with screams, but this is very relaxing.

This music gives me a feeling of serenity; it doesn't need to be innovative. This is beautiful, and that's enough.

This is just breathtaking!!! It's more than just a well written piece of music, it's one of those rare breeds of song that is composed in such a perfect way that any rearrangement of even the most minuscule element would completely destroy the overall brilliance of the track. This sounds prototypical, like one of Plato's "perfect forms", it sounds like the song that many other artists had in mind but were never able to achieve.

But from the Alcest tracks I know this track really delivers the sense of longing best. And it doesn't matter what one's longing for: Neige's childhood experiences of this fairy land or something else.
