@manolodelano sorry for you but i good years on the good fround we CAN get over 10 tons but ofcoruse we have shitty ground with 5 to 7 ton pr ha but good wheeat can easy get over the 10 tons
@skovsgaard106 ok, it's right, tons/ha, when i wrote the coments i wanted to mean tons/ha. in Spain 6tons/ha in the best case, although i'm sure there are special places here with better average production, but the usually production rate is 4tons/ha of wheat.
@manolodelano My Grandfather's best yield of wheat in the Alentejo region of Portugal (without irrigation) was 4.5 tons/hectare, with irrigation he once got 8.7 tons/hectare on a 17 ha field, I believe the national record is 9 something tons/ha (with irrigation I presume). The average is 1.8 ton/ha. We mainly grow pulses and clovers, wheat and barley are really break crops these days.
@mib8050 I'll guess your from the states, in the UK & Europe a half decent wheat crop will give 4 tons to the acre, with that kind of yield a Claas will leave a JD standing, trust me!
Hi in czech republic we can get 10 tons per hectar, but only in best regions. National averege is about 6 tons per hectar

@mib8050 I don´'t believe 10 tons/acre.........
in spain we harvest 6 tons per acre on the best case, on average case 3.5-4 tons.

@manolodelano It's not 10 tons/acre. It's 10 tons/hectare. And one acre is about 4000 squaremetres, and a hectare is 10.000 :D
