  • Google alexbrownracing

This is the top horse web site in the world where all things equine are discussed. Come see what the buzz and the world is talking about.

  • like dutrow said, Big brown will be in the winner's circle by the time casino drive hit's the quarter pole. ha

  • BIG BROWN Crashes on Triple Crown Bid

Spare the white carnations and Belmont Breeze on this one. And all because of Kentucky-bred, Japanese-trained spoiler Casino Drive. The cold hard facts support that Big Brown is due for a "slow" race, adding anywhere from 1/3 of a second to 3/4 of a second to his last 1 Mile time of 1:35.72 in the Preakness. Big Brown cycles from fast Mile times (Saratoga) to slow (Gulf) to fast (Florida) to slow (Kentucky) back to his recent fast 1 Mile (Preakness).

  • Actually adding 1/3 to 3/4 second to his Preakness time would serve to help him. He is a stalking horse with natural speed, the slower the fractions the more he will have left as he nears the finish. If he crashes, you can look at the Quarter Crack and the Abcess. Casino drive also has the rabbit coupled to him in Spark Candle! Look for blistering fractions in the area of 23, 46, 110 playing into Casino and Denis's hands. BB is still the horse to beat, but running 1 1/2 on a sore foot??????????

  • his hoof cracked yesterday its da shou vou!!! hang in there

  • What BigBrown fears most--Of late, CasinoDrive has been the closer after the Mile marker. They break even, but CasinoDrive gets to the 1/2 and 3/4 and 1Mile markers before his rival. To compensate, BB would have to make a move from the 1/4 marker to the 1 Mile marker resulting in a disasterous late fade. By the 1 Mile marker, CD is already 1/10 of a second ahead of rival BB. CD makes a move 1:29.00 into the race. BB finds himself losing after 1 1/8 Miles or 9 furlongs (see FloridaDerby).

  • In the News, there was a disturbing article (more than one) about the BB trainer and how he's been cheating. With drugs, with coming down on crying foul on jockeys (ones that were winning ahead of BB)- among other things. And, if that's what he feels he has to do to win, then fine. Take the crown and go. And if we see his name with Secretariat, we'll say 'yeah, sure..but this is what you did to get it...'

  • BRAVO WROTE: Big Brown is unbeleivable....I wonder when they will start investigating performance enhancing drugs in Horse racing

hey BRAVO, NO MORE STERIODS (WINSTROL) as of next year, according to the NTRA spokesman.

if they all have to stop it wont make a difference.

  • yeah go BIG BROWN

    BIG BROWN #1

  • think again JerseyRenegade, Kent rode Casino May 10th and said he is the ONLY horse who can POSSIBLY keep stride with BB. (note he said (POSSIBLY) He was just being nice since he rode him. It's over dude. 30 year drought IS OVA!!!! June 7th is BB day!!!

  • Hold your horses people because there will probably a new kid in the block come the Belmont Stakes in 3 weeks. The Japanese bloodtsock horse Casino Drive.Casino Drive has had only one race in his career, that being an 11 1/2-length victory at Kyoto on February 23, where he covered the about nine furlongs in 1:54 2/5.He prepped and won the Peter Pan Stakes by 5 legths with a blistering 1:47.87.He wasnt wide open either.

  • This horse is just incredible and that is in & OUTSIDE of the track! He is happy to be where he is and doing what he is doing & if he wasn't his ears would not PERK every time he walks out to the track! His ears were still up yesterday at the END of the race as he wasn't really wanting to stop. He loves what he is doing & adores the attention and is happy. There aren't people that could say they enjoy their life as much as this horse enjoyes his... & he is just beautiful...

  • it's unfortunate that if Big Brown goes on to win the triple crown, the mass media will certainly overshadow it with Eight Belles' injury. It's easy for someone who knows nothing beyond what they saw in the news to have a negative opinion about horse racing. This truely was a freak accident. I go to Arlington Park a lot I have never seen this happen. It is sad that horses have to be put down when they are injured. Big Brown is an incredible animal, true fans will enjoy watching him make history.

  • Big Brown is unbeleivable....I wonder when they will start investigating performance enhancing drugs in Horse racing

  • "Odds are no,something will happen as always, hopefully nothing fatal..." So go put on a pair of 6 inch heals, put a 90lb monkey on your back and run in the sand. It might not be fatal but at least you'll know how ridicuals it is. Even in the Special Olympics someone wins. Derby Officials change the age of horses to 5 years olds-it's not the first time this has been requested in the 200 years of American Derby racing.

  • Uh...how about 10% of your body weight and quality running shoes...Don't be ignorant. I do agree with 5y/o however.

  • He's such a happy horse.

  • eye you are an ignorant tool. Please stop posting.

  • GLAD ALL THE HORSES MADE IT ALIVE.

  • Big Brown is a monster. Period. Lock it up for the triple crown!!

  • OMG people when you watch this video watch how Big Brown "surges" to take the lead.

it's unbelievable at his "surge" simply amazing. What a horse!

  • seggymon I agree he really is a beautiful horse and he does always seem to be looking happy or that he's enjoying the attention. He looked so relaxed.

  • they said today, calm, relaxed, nothing bothers him, AND... when he hears that camera click, he stops, pricks his ears and seems to pose... who does THAT description remind you of !! (Hint.. this TC season is "Himself's" 35th Anniversary, May 5, May 19 and June 9th) and also the 30th Anniversary for the beautiful Affirmed.

  • yes I heard that too and he just has "it" you know? I mean he IS freakishly fast but if that doesn't make him great enough then he has "it" as well?! He's just a wonder to watch and they really have so much to be proud of with him. And yes it's nice to see him *enjoying* the race and the attention....

  • i love how his ears are always up when he's jogging around. he's such a beauty! thanks for all your vids!

  • wow. He's sure a looker. Very impressive, Big Brown. Thanks for posting

  • how are you involved in horse racing??

  • I work on the ESPN telecasts.

  • oh cool!

  • They're gonna have a hard time catching that one on Saturday! He looks fantastic, guess that delay didn't phase him! Thanks for posting this! :)
