  • We went Dec. 2004 to this beautiful islands, Upolu and Savaii. It was great.

  • JUST A COUPLE OF missing words from the version I sang of old but 99% of the song remains the same...beautifully done and great video tribute to my people. thanks again

  • I am absolutely flabagasted with this clip. I grew till 16 when I left in 77 and have never heard the nthem sang by children and this really brought deep emotions of nostalgia and tears. Samoan kids can sing, and I will show this to school kids here in the US about singing that starts at an early age and with joy. I love this and thank you very much. I went to Salelologa Primary Schin Savaii from the 60's to the 70's.

  • Why are there different versions of the lyrics, the middle verse is different to other anthems

  • I cried when I heard this. I really miss home. Can I please get a copy of this. faafetai ma malo lava

  • Yo is the language they speak simmilore to Spanish?

  • nah man... not at all..

  • maybe some vowel sounds......but linguistically not at all.....its related to hawaiian

  • nah...its a polynesian language...like Hawaiian or Tongan or wateverz

  • no their language is polynesian

  • same ponouciation of vowels as u do in Spanish. I had taken spanish and could read it easier than the Caucausian because of the vowels but the language is very different from Spanish.

  • No its not

  • Nah mate...its all samoan.

  • That was just beautiful and one of my favorite National Anthems Samoa Tula'i and South Africas is so touching.Portrays innocence and pure simplicity of the motherland.I never learned this song as a second generation NZ'er but we fortunately now have alot of Samoan Tautua pre-schools for our young children.

It really touched our family to hear my 2 yr old sing this song.We took her to the Mall and bought her anything she wanted after hearing her sing.

    Faavae Le Atua Samoa.

  • WoW! Awesome Vid...Look at their beautiful faces! That's a really awesome representation of Samoa.

  • Thank you for that. That was beautiful and brought tears to my eyes because it reminded myself of when I was in primary and having to sing the anthem every morning with the rest of the school. I believe only one line of the anthem has been changed, but it is still powerful to me as ever. Faafetai lava!!
