Also: I probably shouldn't have jumped into the middle here, but why the faceless NPCs in the party? Couldn't Palom and Porom been better additions? There are so many missteps just in this video...

I downloaded rpg maker vx today and wanted to make kain as a character there...he should've had a similar look as the one in the beginning.now i'ms somehow sad ): i thought i had a good idea for my game,but now :P well,gotta think of something else....anyone got a suggestion?

How about you create your own world and characters? Be creative - if you want to pay tribute to the creators of FF, try to come up with something they could enjoy instead of copying their work.

And hey, if you're good, you could even make some dough off your game, like Amanda Fitch and others. RPGMaker is a fantastic tool if you want to bring an universe to life - don't waste the opportunity. Good luck!

The Hooded Man is Kain, but only half of Kain; his light side. His dark side is the character who takes the appearance of the old Kain, but is actually stealing the Crystals for the Mysterious Girl. Kain went through a trial on Mt. Ordeals similar to Cecil, but he was defeated by his 'darkness'.

WIth this sequel to FF4 out now, it makes me wish they could do a sequel to FF6 as well.

actually it was like the trial between dark knight cecil and palidin cecil. but kain couldn't accept that he has an evil side so he failed.

when the "hooded man" says just like before refering to the guards it's a dead giveaway that it's a fomer party member that was around for the last crisis.

ah the waterway is just like it was remembered before, you should've checked the water in the town, i'm sure there would've been treasure there just like before.

sorry for pointing everything out, i dont have a wii so it's frustrating not being able to play this myself, good job so far

Curious though...did they change the elemental weaknesses for the foes in this game? You were using thunder on 'gators (ice used to kill em real bad), and then ice on the undead (fire worked awesome before)?

Yeah, I did a few things offscreen after the video and made the moon phase easier. The black and white mage can't level up. I grinded a bit, but I mostly was getting gil for supplies.

i hated that i wanted to train them up to lv 20 at least that's just plain mean not to let us train them :D
