  • Welcome to the REAL world...

Me : I'm ALREADY in the REAL world

  • Pa's Trading Post has one of these.

I do kind of want it but it's $80 even though it comes with 8 games

  • epic

  • I've never owned this system.

  • My son.... OH BOY!

  • In 1993 and 1994, This was A BEAST. The graphics were better than the arcade machines, and SNES didn't stand a chance...

That is, until they dropped the BOMB....

    700$.

    Owie.

  • Nice doorstop the 3DO is.

  • WOW It's showing u to put in the disk! It's like saying just put a fu**ing game in!

  • I LOVE THIS SYSTEM AND ALWAYS WILL! <3

  • It was a super power system in 1994

  • it s not the boot screen...it s more like a screensaver if you turn it on without games and sit on your hands... the title is misleading...

  • can you help me with issue: My panasonic 3do wont light up, i push start and nothing happens, I bought it from ebay. started it ones, turned off because tv wasn't on. started second time and nothing happened. I even popped the roof of the system and tried manually to press that little black starting button inside system but it didnt do anything

  • longest boot ever...

  • I was just saying, watching that, "GET ON WITH IT!"

  • thats one pussy of an intro screen.

  • I see.

  • realcatgirllover, is the bootup the same on the Goldstar 3D0 consoles?

  • i don't know. I think it is the same on the FZ-10 3DO model...not sure.

  • @realcatgirllover GOLDSTOR 3DO: IT FEATURES ORBS THAT SPINS AND EXPLODES AND A ORB BOUNCES AND THEN POUNDS AND ALSO EXPLODES AND THE GOLDSTAR LOGO ZOOMS IN FAST.

  • no it is not i have a goldstar 3DO and when you turn it on it just shows you the 3DO logo

  • @MysticArksRevenge

I have a Goldstar model 3DO. No, the bootup is not the same. The very beginning is, but it shows the Goldstar model instead. The rest is different. Shows colors and shapes. I can't remember exactly. It may show a planet, but does not do the asteroid and "Welcome to the R.E.A.L world" thing.

  • @Draknfyre Oh, Ok.

  • interactive multiplay? whats that

  • You had to be the be a prince to get one of these for christmas. The closest I got to one of these was a magazine clipping.

  • 90's CD based game consoles and their startups are EPIC!

  • please, tell me where you got it

  • uhm what?

  • I remember I always wanted a 3DO when I was younger. Never was able to afford it :(

  • i wouldn't. it's like burning a bag of money ($700 to be accurate)

  • it's cheap these days -_-

  • Tell me, is there a console whose boot-up screen is longer than the 3DO's?

  • Forgot to mention it's a joke, BTW. :-)

But still, 35 seconds is pretty long for a console boot screen!

  • STFU

  • This is the longest console start up I've ever seen, at 35 seconds! (Sega-Mega CD is long, but it's attract mode.)

  • This is the longest console start up I've ever seen, at 35 seconds! (Sega-Mega CD is long, but it's attract mode.)

  • this is attract mode

  • WOW and to think this WAS more expensive at launch than the PS3

  • it costed $600 if it was right

  • $700

  • Yeah but it was a piece of crap...the PS3 at least can somehow justify its price.

  • If you say so lolk

  • DAMN that bootup is LOOOOOOONG.

  • Then you don't like the Sega CD or Mega-CD.

  • Except this isn't the boot screen. This is merely an attract mode that the machine runs through when there's no disc inserted.

However, you are correct in that boot times for 3DO games are very long.

  • I think so.

  • Yes.

I have an American FZ-1 and it shows the exact same thing.

  • 2.

Sony made the PS3 & PSP

Nintendo made the WII & DS

    Microsoft made the Xbox 360

    Tiger Telematics made the Gizmondo

    Nikko made the digiblast

Butt only 3 of the machines is good

  • 1.

Panasonic made the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer.

    Sony made the PS1.

Philips made the CD-I (With help from Sony)

    Amiga made the CD32

    Sega made the MegaCD

    Apple made the Pippin

    Nintendo made the 64.

And many more machines came out around 1993 to 1995.

the same thing is happening now.
