Absolutely not! A centralized system means ease of control over information! Additionally, a centralized form will be much slower than what we have. Decentralized is the way to go - as long as you have a good search engine.

An old idea.... The idea of a "central element" has been around for several decades. Look at the design for Link-16. Look also at the notion of a broker raised by the USAF in the late 1990's ... called Joint Battlespace Infosphere. (It even has the spherical reference illustrated here.)
The video has a nice graphic, but explains nothing about how to "build it"... but the old ideas listed above do explain things.
