@shironantony Oh really? Would you prefer that Bergman be interviewed by Letterman, Leno, O'Brien or Ferguson? Talk about dumb assholes, they're nowhere nearly as good as Dick Cavett.
not us however. his films are masterpiece, he's one of my favorite filmmakers, it's hard to even dislike one of his pictures. the fact he did films since the 50s all the way up to the 2000s is astonishing.
@TheseFavoriteMovies grump old man? show me the people that see him as such if anything i see bergman a specimen of human perfection. Zarathustra that came down from his cave and attempted to free the world. Bergman is beautiful and i would never compare him to the trash they call art movies know-days. I am sure u feel the same a honorary mention would also be tarkovsky and Theodor Dreyer
He's given the key to Fanny and Alexander. A story where the action by times comes from the child's reality/imagination, without really knowing the difference between it.
thanks for uploading the entire program, i've been wanting to see the whole thing for a while. How come the first two parts are in the wrong aspect ratio though, it seems weird that the other clips are in the right one. Anyway, right aspect ratio or not, thanks so much for uploading this!
thanks for this one who uploaded this video

How could Bergman talk to such a dumb asshole as Dick? It's really a shame!

interesting how Bergman kind shifts the questioning from him onto Cavett. but later answers the question. interesting.
