i am only thirteen but i have gratuitous knowledge of firearms and these ten year olds who think that they know weapons well because of call of duty are a disgrace. I have a hobby of firearms and i knew about guns before they appeared on the game.
They probably haven't even caught on that the M4 and M16 fire the same ammunition. Probably because the M16 in the game does a considerably higher amount of "damage" than the M4. In actually, one round of 5.56x45mm (.223 rem.) would be enough to kill someone because of its' terminal velocity, and the fact that a highly trained United States soldier is firing the weapon. Not some kid who has never held an M4 in his life. The recoil would surprise you.
@professionallewis a well placed round to the head would kill someone but troops over seas are complaining that insurgents are taking multiple rounds before they stop shooting. and the recoil isn't so bad I've shot both the M4 and the AK47 and both recoils are manageable to be honest.
@Dnt132 i agree with you. the point was that kids who have never shot a gun before would be surprised that there is actually recoil. if you've seen gameplay of modern warfare 2, it looks as though none of these weapons have any kick to them.
@professionallewis haha i play flashpoint that game's more legit its almost impossible to hit targets at 200 yards with iron sights (in the game that is). and for sniping you need to consider distance to target, and leading factors. hey but like you said it man "kids" they are kids you can't ever reason with them, so I don't unless they say that the m14 can only fire semiauto or something like that then I let them think however they want too.
@coiffeurmedecin the G18 is a real gun. in MW2 (a game that i despise), they do use the Glock model 18 compensated (C) barrel. the compensation is to keep the muzzle lift from the recoil to a minimum. the glock 17 isn't capable of fully automatic fire.
@professionallewis Don't you hate it too? Im a fire arm enthusiast and ever since that dumb fucking game came out, 10 year old kids think they know everything about guns. Ive seen people post stuff about full metal jacket bullets being more powerful that hollow tips, people saying that FMJ are armour piercing and calling the Barrette M107 "Barrette 50 cal" as in there is only one 50 that Barrette produces. Kids dont even know what caliber any gun is other than the .44 and 50 (maybe the 9mm)
The M usually denotes "Model". Such as the M2 heavy machine gun, or the M16 assault rifle, even as far back as the M1A1 (or Thompson). Back in the day, after the M would be the year the weapon was developed, such as the M1911A1, with "A" denoting the version of the gun, like we would use v.1 and v.2 with computer related things. Currently, the United States army is using the M16A4 and M16A2 assault rifles. The A4 has a removable carry handle, the A2 does not.
@coiffeurmedecin almost forgot. the G18 in MW2 is also a real gun you dumbass. model name is the G18C. so get your facts straight before you post anymore comments dipshit.
sry for my lack of knowledge but did you make that gun yourself? anyways, keep te good work goin ^^
