@jackpb92 Thanks! The triple on the bass drum takes a little while to get down but when you do it comes in very handy. With the stick on the bass drum or a floor tom I can pretty much pull of any double bass type stuff that I want to do. Converse is the way to go!!
@miketalbot4 awesome as! im very inspired to go and play drums right now and practise the shit out of it hahahaha.
the way i set up my drums, i don't really have quite enough space between my floor tom and leg to reach my arm down (and accurately!!) i might have to reconsider my setup haha.
otherwise, i use my floor tom like you use your right hand on the bass drum :D
duuude! that was tight!!! i use a single pedal with converses ;P whey i dont use any heel toe or anyting either maybe just some swivel, do you live in england?
Dude how do you get your foot to move that fast? are you using heel to toe heel to toe, or all with just your toe? That's clean requires no effort or movement. I like...
Thanks! It's all toe. My heal doesn't touch the footboard while I'm playing. It's about an inch off the board. I drop my heal in between phrases to rest the leg and pull the beater away from the head. I try to never "bury" the beater into the head.

Great example Mike of getting a lot out of minimal motion. Your foot doesn't move past being parallel to the floor which is something that some fans of over exaggerated heel-toe need to see. You don't need to have a huge motion in your technique.
It's mostly ankle strokes. There is a little sliding involved but it seems to be less than I used to do. The key is to let the beater bounce off the head. Don't bury the beater. Thanks for watching!!
this is great!
i love the triplet on the kick drum that's only played with your foot.
i've been meaning to start single kick pedal triplets, but i haven't gotten around to it much yet (school is in the way!)
i too only use single kick and also use only my toe for this same stuff, and a lot of the time wear converse! haha
they're great for drumming!
if i don't wear converse, i don't wear any shoes (as Doc Marten boots are too heavy after a while)
or i play in those inexpensive canvas shoes.

but on the last ones your hitting the bass drum with you stick? that's not really just your foot, what would it sound like with just your foot?

@studlyboy00 what he is doing is kind of like the swivel technique.

It's an idea I got from Herlin Riley. He's a drummer from New Orleans. I've just made it into my own thing.
