Gerry Phillips and the band members DragonForce are all very talented musicians whether you play the guitar or you play with your hands. You can't measure the talent of playing with your hands or playing guitar because they both take more talent than eachother which means that it takes years for any human to become very good at playing with their hands or playing guitar, drums, etc.
