@tljones1961 Obviously you have never fought for anything you believe in. We are just trying to get our fair share from a company that we built, that reports record profits year after year. Maybe everyone should just accept minimum wage and get rid of the middle class alltogether, then we can then give all of the extra money to the corporate greedballs. Statements without research is just ignorance. Stop being a Tparty lemming and wake up assclown!
YOU walked out on your job, YOU have a job to return to ... for now. In two weeks time scab union members will be crossing the line to return to work. I've seen it over and over. Your loud foul mouth tactics are very impressive to the public. Hope you go crawling back with your tail between your legs as the management tosses you a bone on the 4th week of the strike
supportjerseymob - I have to admit I didn't know that you faced consequences like that. The propaganda we're fed is that the Union guys are essentially untouchable. As for Karma - I'm not sure you understand the people you're targeting - most of those guys in the field are not decision makers - VZ just gave them a different label so they don't qualify for representation. The guys pulling the strings are not in the field.
My husband is one of those managers that is being harassed and no, he doesn't spit on his crew, he doesn't slash their tires, and he doesn't harrass women and call them fat bitches. He left his family and a crew that likes and respects him to be treated this way? You are an employee of Verizon just like he is - please think about how you treat these people. Many are there to support their families and Verizon.
@74loveandpeace If he does have subordinates that he treats well, hopefully he's working in the same area as before. While picketing, we've definitely treated the managers differently based upon their past treatment of workers.
Seems like you should have been pushing for representation of all individual workers. Now they have an army of people they can push out into the field that don't have a union to fall back on yet you take it out on them. Picket the bldgs, the wireless stores, and especially the executive's homes but please let these poor fish out of water alone - they've been pushed about enough.
@uttrekr I admit you have some good points. But he also has a really good point that when we fail to follow these same work rules, we get 30 day suspensions and are usually further harassed by these same managers. Where I'm picketing, we usually reserve the harassment for managers that are known for harassing workers.
@uttrekr all those places are being picketed, but there are other teams of "rolling picketers" doing what the guy who filmed this video is doing, showing the absolute double standard verizon has... if your not a union worker, your allowed to congragate, work without helmets, no body belts, use a step ladder to climb a cross box, talk on a cell phone while driving, smoke in a company vehicle, the list goes on ..... keep these video's coming.
These "stupid scabs" are managers of Verizon from all over the country who have to pay for their benefits unlike the union workers from Verizon. Many of them had no choice but to be there, my husband being one of them. He is there to provide for his family and try to do the best he can while idiots shout and scream at him. Leave these people alone! And they can't wear their shirts, becuase asses like the guys in the videos are hunting them down while they work.
@74loveandpeace Are you for real? They choose to be managers, they allow the company to take away their freedoms, they should be on the other side of the fence here with us. We would like to invited them to join the union, so they do not have to sufer this fate. Get real I have a family too, so I am less human than he is?
hey rweldy, if theyre just workers, not bosses, then they wouldnt be shipped anywhere they didnt want to go if they had unionized in the first place. all these non union scabs being shipped in against their will have no sympathy here. hows that "right to work" working out for ya now. a scab is a scab is a scab. put lipstick on a scab, its still a scab.
Union knuckle heads. YOU CHOOSE not to work. The company has a right to continue to operate AND YOU CAN'T STOP THEM! Solidarity THAT!
