I know you mean it in the way that you like john frusciantes stuff, but that just sounds so wrong the way you put the words.Hillel was the original pepper guitarist and even if no one can replace him exactly, John brought goood stuff to the band and hes a very wicked guitarist. =]

i'm not depreciating hillel's work. i love his work. but the peppers with john frusciante reached other levels of gratitude. for example: when john quitted in 92, they made their poorest album of their carreer. and john became a better guitarist than hillel. the student surpassed the teacher, and if it wasnt for hillel's death the peppers would never evolve. thats my opinion. john brought fresh air to them.
