  • where can i get the plain bucktail without paint and stuff?

  • @acgrs8 well there are a few places that will sell them like basspro or cabelas but it really depends on what kind you are looking for sometimes you can find them on ebay but the ones i paint i make myself. i make several different kinds and sizes...

  • @striperjunkie thanks i was just curious and wondering how it was done...thanks man!!

  • WTF is a bucktail jig

  • Hey thanks a lot, i'm looking to get into this, i heard it's a lot cheaper t do it yourself.

  • @nolangreen well it is alot cheaper as far as how much money you have invested. however what is bot accounted for is your time. and until you get alot of practice with this you may have alot of time invested.

  • what are you using, pro-tec paint?

  • in this video i am. however you can use just about any type of powder paint...

  • @striperjunkie i would switch to using a heat gun for the paint instead of a blow torch, its alot safer and cant catch anything on fire.

  • @PBRMafia I've been powder coating jigheads for a couple years. I find I have a lot better success heating the heads on my stove top burner. You have excellent control of the heat, get even paint coverage, won't accidently melt heads once you establish the heat setting you need on your stove.

  • Cool video!

  • yes you can use wood...i do... it wont burn or catch on fire...

  • Im not trying to sound dumb but Can you use wood to bake the jig heads? I mean it wont burn or anything will it.

  • yes you can..i do.. it wont burn or catch on fire..

  • @schang39 i would recomend getting a heat gun

  • Great vid. Do you clean the eyes out before you bake?

  • no i clean the eyes after i bake them....

  • What language is he speaking?

  • I was just kidding I would like to thank this gentleman for taking the time to make this video to share his knowledge and experience with his fellow fisherman.

    God Bless and stay well.

  • glad i could help you out buddy

  • How did you make the board used to bake the jigs?
