Nintendo showed it had balls with this KI stuff. It made Mortal Kombat look almost tame. After this combo games like super smash brothers somehow became popular (kind of like friends even though 90%+ knews it wasn't really good). It'll never be like this again for a long time, this is the last retro fighting game there will ever be.

the original is this nothing has been changed. if you were playing the snes version then you were playing a newer but lesser version.

this is what Rare created with the ultra 64 hardware many years ago there isnt a version before this.

They only made 2 of these than they stopped. I don't know if they were having trouble with competion between mortal kombat,, street fighter series double dragon series the other fighting games . If people just lost interested. Either that our they had to many complaints from parents. I know some parts of mortal Combat had to be cesnored. When it was release for the home system due to parental complaints or something like that.

I just got you comment about the Mortal combat DC game. They probably cut out the fatalities because of the age group the comics and earlier games like Marvel vervus capcon II were aimed for. Most of the games and some comic were aimed for young teens about 13 to14 or older. I love your speed run. I have only watched 6 of them but ry to update if you get a chance. You rule!

There is a chink in your argument though because the MK characters DO have fatalities but only against each other. So the target audience was not really a factor.

Other than the sequel killer instinct 2. I don't think rare did many mature rated games. The next most graphic thing that rare did next to this was maybe the darker ,more gross, and less cencsored version of Rampage world tour for the home systems In addition to the donkey games up to 64 and maybe some past that.

I remember the early mortal combat games up till mortal combat 4 were pretty graphic for there times. They had a couple of fatailities that actuall you did not see when perfoem they were that vulgar They were all mature prior to the DC cross over game. I guess they scale it down for teens for better sales or something.

so let me get this straght - im viewing the AMIGA version ? it hurts me to say this but my amiga 500+ seems to have 'died' or something, prior to that many years ago my amiga 500 died - i attached all the cables to the 500+ correctly and turned it on, but the drive light does some funny flashing and reboots. It was laying in a cupboard where its quite cool, could that have caused erosion of components (dampness, humidity, coldness) ??

No, you are viewing the ARCADE version, hence the title "Arcade Longplay [005] Killer Instinct". Cubex55 now also hosts longplays from other systems, not just Amiga. These non Amiga movies are downloadable from longplays[dot].net.

About your Amiga problem, alot of people have had that problem with their Amigas. Sooner or later it breaks in one way or another. There are places that repair Amigas. Ask around at the English Amiga Board forum... lots of experts there.
