Dude, he said they barely had any time to do it, and that there would be some continuity errors. Even then, the lightsaber is against the sky, which is why it's fairly hard to see, but you can still see it.

definitely woudv been better if u guys practiced the choreography more. it should b performed faster, and in the parts wher u clash, put more force on it and dont just hold them there. (and if possible, cn any1 give ME a tip or 2 on choreography? lol..)

as 4 the effects.. idk if it was just cuz u wer outside, but it was kinda weird. maybe turn on "preserve luminosity", bring down the "hilight", or dont feather the lightsaber core layers as much.

To plan the choreography, make a cool routine in your head and if you like it, put it down on paper. In no time you will have a decent choreography to practice. =D

Pretty good video overall the effects were nice. The acting though... :S....

If you want to improve your video make your movements more natural, less accurate (make it look like you would do this in this situation and not because you decided it would look cool to do this), the actor using the red lightsaber was the best actor between you too his movements were more fluid. As for an example, when you got pushed off, you started making turns ?? and then you stopd nd took yr lightsabr with one hand

It's fixable. Tighten up those edits. Don't use more footage than you need to in order to show the choreography that you have (don't try to hit a runtime), and you might even want to take a look into speeding up small portions of the edit, removing a few frames during strikes to make them look like they've got some punch.

Also, for shooting, next time, Keep the camera on one side of the action, it's easier to watch.

There are some lightsaber presets for A.Effects, if you google-it a little, you'll find them.They make rotoscoping easier(faster) and adjusting lightsaber too.

Fight scenes can be speed up a little (like some kung-fu movies).

Sounds about right to me. Although theyre starters the clip isnt that good(to be nice) so try to watch other clips (the Ryan Vs Dorkman is good). It will help you in editing your videos.

Technically, that's not true for every Jedi. Almost every one, though. The only Jedi I can think of from the novels who's lightsaber has a "lock on" power feature is Corran Horn. First find out about it in the fourth X-Wing: Rogue Squadron novel.

I understand the press, but as someone who's actually worked with After effects, I can completely understand the amount of work needed for animation. Filming is less than half of the work, and since it's a school project; I bet you had a lot of other things to do too, and couldn't spend forever on a film project despite the much needed time.

Still, this is REALLY good for a school project! You did an amazing job with the effects, and I hope you learned a lot making it.

I liked it. I thought it was slow but I can just take it as how the fighting style in the movie migrated from Episode 3 to Episode 4. The original trilogy they fought more like Conan movies (Barbarian style) as if the swords were heavy, the new trilogy fights like fencing. So I thought it was cool.
