This song was written for David's brother, Adam Cook. Adam died late Saturday night, May 2, 2009, after a long battle with brain cancer.
Our sympathies to David Cook and his family in the passing of his brother.

Thank you for posting that. Certainly my prayers and thoughts are with David and his family and friends right now, and with all of my fellow fans who feel as if we've lost a member of our own family. Adam Cook, you were an amazing man and you will be missed by all.

I've never watched this video, because I had friends at the show who told me that he couldn't finish the song. And I finally watched today and I'm crying. He's amazing, this song is amazing, and my thoughts are with him and his family.

This song was so emotional. I was there and you can tell how this song moved him...he couldn't even finish it without taking a break and crying. GAH he's amazing!
