this is great...its amazing how you can almost see current events effecting the frequency of tests...non-nuclear wars, obviously, like Korea and Vietnam you can see a cut off and then extreme increase at the outset of war...you can see all the posturing by the US and USSR, so many were almost like tit for tat...we blow one and then they have to blow one...you can see the Chernobyl accident and how it stopped tests for two years almost..the cuban missle crysis is another hot time frame naturally
Eurasia looks like a snake with a shredded pirate hat on. Africa looks like a sideways beaked dino and North America looks kinda like a weird bird or something.
In November 1958, the USSR and US are like "Alright guys, let's chill the fuck out." Then after France detonates a few, in September of 1961 they're like "Fuck it, we're bored."
@yomama629-You don't know a thing about me but trust me I'm the farthest thing from developmentally delayed that you've ever had the privilege of dignifying you with a response! It's people like you who don't give this race a fuking chance and then there's people like me who try desperately not to choke (now I'm borderline threatening) people like you for wasting my valuable and precious time, good day to you Mr.Sheep.
@yomama629- Nobody threatened anyone, especially me... Please read before entering comments and then reply to them accordingly. It's going to get real ugly if the U.S. fuks with a China backed Pakistan and it very well could set the stage for WWIII. This species is so dumbed down that even with all the beauty and creativity of life we let a few control us and perpetually imprison the rest of the unawakened masses.
If you know something about something, and I do...lol. The U.S. will soon reap what it sews...(it's called karma) It's fucked up that we have such a small respect for for life (human and all other) and sometimes I wish a species from outside our solar system would just nuke this whole fucking planet because the people inhabiting this one have there head way up there ass!
THIS IS F..D UP! After 4:30 (1961) - Russia: vodka, vodka, let's blow some s..t up! (1962) - US: F..k that s..t! - we need to catch up! :)))
P.S. So, after watching this map - I know why people die of cancer, smoking probably got little to do with it. Bottom line: it took only one century for human race to f..k up things pretty bad - amazing what technological progress is capable of! :D
I'm glad we went to all the trouble of defeating the goddamned british so they could come back here and explode nuclear devices. Smarmy snaggletoothed bastards!
well considering Britain was the third country to test nukes we sure liked to save ours for a rainy day i also find it funny that the majority of Britian's nukes were tested in America

" We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn’t want to meet. " -- Stephen William Hawking (*1942)
the count for india and pakistan is wrong .. indi carried out 5 explosions and pakistan carried 7 explosions ... both countries tested them in may 1998.. it was pakistans first test and is the youngest of the elite group of countries having nukes and indias second time testing them ,, india earlier carried out their tests in 1974.back then they carried just one test..
@daDfarSpanTaistheKin so its wrong? thats about right, and where is Isreal?? thta have nukes and tested them too? South frica had nukes bu they were huled away//
@xASxDragoon The time map does not include the two nuclear tests conducted by North Korea in October 2006 and May 2009, nor does it include the dozens of subcritical nuclear tests (explosions that do not produce a sustained nuclear chain reaction) conducted in recent years by the US/UK and Russia.
So that explains why so many people are getting bigger and less healthy!!

Ivy Mike (1952-11-01) 10.4 Mt(TNT) >= 77% fission = ~8000 kt(TNTfromFission) =~ 534 "LittleBoy"s (fission products)
Castle Bravo (1954-03-01 "fission reactions of the natural uranium tamper were quite dirty") 15 Mt(TNT) "a substantial fraction" ?%? fission?
