  • Why the dislikes? its an amazing piece!

  • @DeanoPiano justin beiber is to blame for this

  • This was and still is the only album I bought by an artist I never heard of simply because tower records personnel was playing it way back when record stores existed.

  • My son introduced me to this album 20 years ago,. Robbie Vincent used Friends & Strangers as his sig tune. All great.

  • 名サウンド・クリエイター、デイヴ・グルーシン、みずみずしいナイス・クロスオーヴァー・アルバム"マウンテン・ダンス"~~鉈ドラマー、ハーヴィー・メイソン万歳 #jazzm

  • 208 people disliked not the song, but the cover photograph!

  • @mescaleros666 I agree, cos this tune is one of the best of the 80s film hits, and it just wouldn't make sense if people dislike this gem. It has all a love "song" needs; passion, feeling, touch. It holds a living edge in its syncopated rhythm. It's melodic, positive and flighty, just like a true love theme needs.

Not all, but most of those negative voters are mere representatives of the shallow lifestyle, modern civilization have become accustomed to.

  • Love the flute.

  • a precision and clarity of notes is impressionant!!! perfect!!

  • ...thanks for posting

  • who disliked this?????

    very nice song.

  • My son introduced me to this album 20 years ago.Robbie Vincent used " Either Way " as his sig tune for years on Radio 2 ?. Superb music.

  • I remember my mum playing this when i was a kid, so many memories

  • I love this song! Very relaxing

  • @TheCalebson Thank you, I have been trying to find the words to describe this song (to myself)

  • This is one of my absolute favourite songs!! It makes you smile for the sheer joy of being alive! I think of water skipping over stones in a brook on a sunny day. Corny, but true.

  • ********

  • If I remember correctly, Dave Grusin has won an Academy Award, nominated seven times, won six Grammys, nominated eight times, and nominated for four Golden Globes. If that isn't recognition, we may have to redefine the word.

  • Many years ago when I lived in Durban South Africa my daughter and I walked past a music store that happened to be playing this number. We stopped, listened, moved on and backtracked. I went into the store bought the album and was hooked on Dave Grusin from then on. He is a brilliant musician, I have all his albums and never tire of playing his music.. My grandchildren are now hooked on him.

  • Favolosa!

  • In the 80's the BBC World Service used this as the theme for their arts program. It was only after several years I finally heard it on the radio.

  • I love this song...gives me goose bumps every time I hear it! Fantastico!

  • Love this happy tune, is so beautiful.

  • I must say the beat and rythm of this song is so African. It was a hit in South Africa among jazz fusion lovers. Thank you for the upload. Fantastic music.

  • @mikekgoroeadira You're Welcome!!

  • @mikekgoroeadira Grusin said his inspiration for this song came while he was driving through the Rockies. But "fusion" can take its cue from various sources.

  • there is the song called Kitcen Dance???

  • Very Nice !

  • NICE TRACK ¡¡¡¡

  • Acclamations!

  • disgustingly awesome... pure badness...

    homeboy's got magic fingers...

  • its amazing how smooth and flowing the music sounds, and every instrument compliments each other and connects with each other, i think thats why it sounds so amazing, it reminds me of Ireland for some reason anyone else get that too???

  • @matt jay It reminds me of the ending ewok theme to Star Wars Return of the Jedi, hence the name mountain dance ha ha, I could literally start a camp fire on a mountain and dance around it listening to this song NAKED! ha ha XD

  • @DeanoPiano i was thinking, more or less, the exact same thing

  • @dlogan93 Ha ha its ace init

  • @mattTjay Yes, I get it, because it's a happy tune.

  • I think that Bela Fleck must be a large fan of Mr. Grusin because this sounds a WHOOOOLE lot like the Flecktones. If someone'd told me it was, I would've believed them, no question. Really good stuff though. Just watched The Firm which he scored and looked him up.

  • It's to bad more people don't know of this song. What a great tune to relax, or fall asleep to. Everyone I have ever played this song for has loved it, and asked whos that? or what songs that?.

  • @yubertuber1

It´s a " song to relax".Very smooth and peacefull, but IT IS HARD AS HELL TO PLAY hahaha

    Awesome piece btw ;)

  • This is one of the few tunes I listen to to calm my nerves or lift my mood. I wish I could play a piano just so I could play this song. Thank you Dave for all your music.

  • I'm learning a special version, made for single piano (no drums, bas, synth or anything else, just a piano) do you want me to post it when I'm done?

and I agree, It's so soothing, i haven't listened to anything for the past 3 days.. :D

  • This tune was used in a movie once, "Falling in Love" with Meryl Streep and Robert de Niro. Brings back memories of a lost love. Thnx for posting :-)

  • Wonderful

  • Perfeito. conheco este album desde que ele lançou. Se mantem Sempre atual!

  • TV PROMO MUSIC ;-)

  • Wonderful stuff.

  • Classic Dave Grusin tune...one of many Dave Grusin tunes that garnered much of my attention when I was a kind....thanks for the excellent post.

  • i soooo love this music

  • Nice song it sounds so peaceful and something for you to listen to after a hard day at work.

  • dave Grusin is the most underrated musician ever

  • I agree. Him and Vince Guaraldi never got the recognition they deserved in my book.

  • You are right! Agree 100%!

  • @TheBrassHole Dave is wearing a cowboy hat on this album cover but its not country and western its just cause he is a jazz pianist from colorado [he did an interview in downbeat and said he made a new cd but doesnt know if he is going to make another one there ie no where to market it al l the lite jazz stations are gone ].

  • @TheBrassHole : LOVE Vince Guaraldi!! His music has so much personality and so many different elements within. My mother loved (loves) Vince so it brings back happy childhood memories as well. :)

  • @TheBrassHole : LOVE Vince Guaraldi!! His music has so much personality and so many different elements within. My mother loved (loves) Vince so it brings back happy childhood memories as well. :) She played lots of David Grusin too!

  • @TheBrassHole Dave Grusin and Vince Guaraldi, like some other great musicians, never got the recognition they deserved because they made beautiful music. Not cool. Not badass. Another name would add is Joe Sample. All wonderful, highly skilled pianists and composers which I truly admire. Tons of fantastic musicianship. But rarely on any list of "great composers/pianists".... I think there are at least enough people in this world who recognize and admire their fantastic talent.

  • @kornishguy duuuuude it's mad

  • @kornishguy lots not go overboard with him he is a lite jazz pianist he did a cd lately but he said he wasnt sure if he was going to do another one no way to market it all the lite jazz radio stations are gone
