Tango is from Argentina AND Uruguay,in fact the anthem of tango,"la cumparsita" is from Uruguay. and Carlos Gardel tango biggest singer was born in Uruguay.
Do you know candombe from Uruguay.?
that mural is amazing, salud hermanos latinoamericanos
This is the first time I've heard of Quetzalcoatl being described as a white face coming out of the east. I've always heard the story of the feathered serpent. Besindes, the accounts of Cortes being this diety is not supported by any document before the spanish conquest, which they failed to present in this video.
Seriously, this guy needs to read more. The Aztecs are not in central america. Theyu are in mesoamerica. I can pass the Chiapas as the perhaps the only central american region of mexico, but the rest is in mesoamerica, caribbean or NORTH AMERICA. and what's up with that Salsa music??? Why not put something more representative of Mexico perhaps like Mariachi???
Hey listen, lets not be instigators, he actually was very respectful in his representation of Mexico, i think a little salsa music is anything but offensive. No need to mention I am mexican, however seeing how things are now a days you can't say anything unless you have any "backing"
I hate when people assume that all Latin American countries listen to the same music, and have the exact same cultures. Though, yes, there are common features, they all differ. I am quite surprised and a bit insulted by this generalization coming from a prominent and educated institution such as the BBC.
You are totaly right, latin america is not a single country, there are a lot of countries in whole Latin America,a nd each country has his own traditions, music and art, Salsa is native from Cuba, Mariachi is native from Mexico, Samba is native from Brazil and Tnago from Argentina.
