  • He signed it to law! Hopeless....

  • Operation mockingbird right here i tell ya

  • Thanks AJ I was getting worried that not a single news service has picked up this vital story on the much maligned media bill. BTW you forget to mention that politicians are starting to come to opposition to it, among them PM Raila Odinga.

  • what will obama do?

  • when there is a 'misister of information' then you gotta worry.

  • Exactly.

  • i think democracy is a waste of time, because the ideals are unachievable.

  • i couldn't possibly disagree more

  • How so? And what type of system would you think is best? I am on the fence but the ideals of our constitution seem sound. It has been the slow and steady pillage and plunder many politicians end up doing to our laws. I think we should re-state the constitution in its entirety. The people need to understand how we are protected by our constitution and how far we have strayed all in the name of our country and 'democracy'.

  • ? that's a cyclical argument... after you re-instate the constitution, you will have to pass laws.

i know what system we need: grow your own food, hone a skill, build furniture - produce something that will allow you to partake in bartering, and thus pseudo-self sufficient. mankind wasnt designed to sit infront of a tv, wait in traffic, eat mcdonalds, and worry about the 'global finance'. taste the salt. anarchy is a myth.

  • i couldn't agree more and to base many of our economies on the consumption of another rather than developing domestic markets we are all paying for our stupidity

  • respect, operator. but what i meant was that what is needed is the dissolution of governments and borders.

  • oh i see anarchy i always called it the unmention 6th stage but the world as it is now would be much harder to instill such system we need a transition from capitilism to socialism which seems much closer to achieving

  • Censorship- That is what is happening in Kenya. When the people/media are censored, democracy fails.

Too, on the other hand, government contolled media also causes democratic shortcomings. And let's not forget media owned by private interests.

Free speach is a fundalmental human right!

  • We need net neutrality everywhere. Anyone that threatens to silence you for speaking your mind may be under the assumption they are all powerful and therefore need to be instructed on what our basic human rights as citizens of this world.
