@SheilaBoo91 hello, I am natural and my hair is growing very beautiful. Last August my hair was 1 inch now its 7.5 inches= shoulder length. I take my Bayer one a day everyday. I deep condition with 1.5 ounces of ORS and 20 drops of wild growth oil. I put it in my hair and leave it overnight. Rinse out in the morning. I wear weaves and wigs. I spray braid spray between the lines at night. Sometimes I add a little more glycerin to my braid spray, but you dont need to . My hair is growing so fast.
I (somehow) first learned to french braid underhand too. It's is what it is. I can now to overhand for larger braids but the little ones are always underhand - it just requires no thought on my part :) great style as always
they also sell kinky curly curling custard and conditioner at Whole Foods and if your in the Orlando Fl area, Super Beauty Depot! I love it and it works wonders for me!

@mskandyprincess Do you detangle in the shower with conditioner? I usually douse my hair in conditioner and detangle a small section with a wide tooth comb and then with a modified Denman or my tangle teezer. I then either braid or twist that section while still in the shower and move on to the next section. It's a lot of time in the shower depending on how long your hair is, but it really helps - especially if your hair dries quickly.

I've been thinking of going natural for quite sometime and this young lady as well as others gives me hope. This is starting to become a trend in the black community these days even now more than ever. In my opinion, a perm relaxer stagnates the hair growth(or at least mines). I cant seem to get my hair to grow for the life of me. Maybe i'll do some experimenting in the near future before i consider perming my hair. Thanks for posting BeautifulBrwn.

While I feel very liberated with my natural hair that I finally revealed to the world in July (but have been transitioning for a year and a half), I find it just a little challenging in the SOUTHERN corporate enviroment in which I work. Are you left handed??? I am so when I go to cornroll my own hair they look like tight neat small french braids but when I do other peoples hair it looks like cornrolls and i think its because of how I have to hold my hands onto my head because I cant control my hair as well with my right hand as i do my left! lol

I went natural in 2008 when we had our first child and a couple of weeks ago, my hair started breaking off. It is really thick so it's not that bad. I can only tell after I wash it and flat iron it. I am so when I go to cornroll my own hair they look like tight neat small french braids but when I do other peoples hair it looks like cornrolls and i think its because of how I have to hold my hands onto my head because I cant control my hair as well with my right hand as i do my left! lol
This is something I am going to be tryin in the next few days. I really hope that it come out as well on me as it did on you cuz it will be my 1st ever time tryin to do any twists

Hey Soror, I do not know much about hair, but my hair seems to be about the same texture as yours (my guess from watching your videos). I went natural in 2008 when we had our first child and a couple of weeks ago, my hair started breaking off. It is really thick so it's not that bad. I can only tell after I wash it and flat iron it. I don't think it makes a difference. I have the authentic one but the ones by Goody allow you to take out rows of bristles for better detangling.
