  • all this explanation got me high u_u

  • either cheap or expensive? how much? I have dana 30 and dana 35.

  • No webbing on the ring gear mounting flange = a broken unit fast. Cracked housing to be precise.

  • As a general rule, you don't put a locker in an IFS front, but an on-demand locker isn't a general locker.

  • @Coyote575 You don't put a front auto locker in a full time 4wd. There is no reason you can't in a IFS as you only use the front diff when off road. I had a Jackaroo with a front auto lokka didn't even know it was there until you hit the rough stuff.

  • this is ridiculous, you can't put a locker on an independent front suspension vehicle, you can in the rear but not the front like they were showing

  • @reaperharker Apparently you can, Eaton lists a locker for the GM9.25 IFS EAT19622-010

  • can it be engaged at any rpm?

  • Where do you get he switches with the illiminated locking differential light

  • Well holy shit, I had that RC car and it was the most fun ever. Hi-Lo gear switch for epic wheelies.

  • why is seimor skinner narrating this video

  • isnt it the same thing as putting it in 4low?

  • @Dieselboy805 Now as when you go into 4low you set are lowers ratio. Still leaving you diffs open. The locker replaces you open diff or lsd. Once Locked you have = power to both wheels doesn't matter what wheel has traction. Where a open diff gives power to the wheels with lest Traction only.

  • How much does this system cost?

  • I would put more fath in an ARB Air Locker, ANYDAY !

  • @gaiabloke Air lockers have 20 point of fail. Elockers have only 4.

  • i though h1s came with lcokers from the factory

  • @SALCarniveau they do but theyre more of a limited slip. eaton provides full positive traction.

  • Interesting.

It's not quite as good as the cross sensing drive locker system of the late 70's GMC Suburbans. Although quite a bit lighter.

I would like to see a long term thermal wear /use report on the electromagnet component. As well as locker pin durability on long term towing.

  • @cobalt120

IIRC, the e-locker becomes an open diff @20mph. For street use, there's really no reason to activate the e-locker all the time anyways, since an open diff handles much better except for low traction conditions.

  • @fubecabr

Also i wonder about the eaton system magnets. In much the same manner as the GM ABS magnets are always failing.

I wonder how long the eaton system magnets will last under all that stress.

  • @cobalt120 Never know for one to fail. Air lockers have 20 fail point, Elocker have 4 fail points

  • I would like to see the eaton system on an ATV.

  • @cobalt120

HIlliard makes a version for atvs.

  • 0:15

    I HAD THAT EXACT TRUCK

but i took the gay spoiler off that was the best one cuz it went everywhere even when i made it a 2wd....it saved the batterys...it still went almost everywhere and if i wanted to go farther i put it in 4wd

  • to bad this system can't be found ON A ZR2

  • @ufohunterdude i can put one in the rear end of my 89 c1500 my zr2 has the same rear end aas my pick up
